wahhhh I finished my second playthrough of Our Life: Beginnings and Always (I could only stay away for a month apparently) and this time instead of doing it myself I let Cove confess and propose and WAHHHHHHHH I LOVE HIM SO MUCH
truly I have never played a game like OL:BA, it makes me Feel Things... can't wait for the sequel because I'm sure that's the only other game that could ever fill me like this. also I'm definitely gonna need to draw fanart if I can kick my depression to the curb long enough >.<

Carrd linking Games Affected by Itch.io Policy Changes.
Due to changes in the policy on itch. io, I've made a carrd in order to link games that were affected.
Some games include Kid at the Back, Your guardian angel, YOU and HIM, Duplicity and many others.
The carrd is linked below:
Please note that the games linked are ones in which I have received explicit permission to link their game.
Some games might not be posted due to the permissions being pending or the dev not wishing to be included.
This also an ongoing process.

Plan of Action and Complaint Template Regarding Adult Content Being Delisted from Itchio
Alright so as y’all may or may not know, credit card companies and other payment facilitators have put pressure on digital storefronts such as Steam and Itch.io to remove “adult content” recently largely due to lobbying by fringe radical organizations. It would be bad enough if it just affected actual porn, but you know to these people “porn” means “anything that even mentions a homosexual.” Several of my team’s projects including mini-expansions to Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy “The Fanservice Files” and “The XXX-Files,” as well as team artist @chaospyromancy’s personal side project “A Squad of Drow” have been delisted from itch.io as of last night though they are still available by direct link or from our main account page and you can still pay us for them for now but there is no telling how long they'll actually stay up. Many others have had their projects completely delisted or outright removed, and are having payments withheld from them. If you don't want to see us and other creators pushed under by this crap, you need to do something about it.
People affected by this far outnumber the people who lobbied to make it happen. These organizations are very vocal but also relatively small and very fringe, and since it is a policy decision that was created by complaints it may be able to be destroyed by complaints.
Here are the phone numbers of these companies and an email address I was able to find. We need to blow their phones off the wall and fill their inboxes with customer complaints.
Mastercard (US): 1-800-627-8372 Mastercard (Int.): +1-636-722-7111 Visa (US + Can): 1 800 847 2911 Visa (AUS): 1 800 125 440 PayPal(UK): +44-0203-901-7000

Saying stuff like “sex work is real work” and “this affects black trans women,” while true, is not the kind of thing that is going to tug at the heartstrings of lib-conservative CEOs and board members and their PR teams. They’re mercenary. You need to tell them how this is going to hurt their wallets and make their customers very unhappy.
If feasible, you need to get your moms and dads on this too, and get them to get their friends on it, etc.
40-60-year old middle class white people high credit scores and stuff will have more sway with these corporations than any young adult trans person.
My team has put together a template for your phone calls and emails. Take the template and delete the [bracketed parts] that don’t apply to you.
“My name is [_____], and I’m contacting you about your recent decision to alter your user policies regarding adult content and thereby putting pressure on digital storefronts like itch.io and Steam to hide and remove adult content. By doing so, you're cutting off a significant revenue stream, [and as someone with financial investment in your company, this has me extremely concerned]
[I both buy and sell that blocked content, so this is directly interfering in my finances, and I will seek compensation.]
Products I paid for are no longer available to me, [and people are buying my products without the money going to me because of your interference with the payment processing.]
If you don’t want to lose customers and face potential legal trouble, these policies which pressure itch.io, Steam, and other digital storefronts need to be reversed.
You have changed these policies because of Collective Shout, a radical group from Australia that sent only a mere 1000 calls to destroy a significant revenue stream on your part and to interfere with my finances. This decision literally affects millions of people and millions of dollars, and so I expect a prompt response on reversing these policy changes and removing the pressure on itch.io and Steam to ban adult content on their sites. [As a cardholder, I worry that these new policies are responding to a vocal minority of customers, and I’m left doubting the reliability, versatility, and integrity of your services. I use these services to securely and conveniently make the transactions I see fit, and it’s disappointing to see legitimate, legal transactions be excluded.]
[I am furious that an American company would bend so easily to a lobbying group from a foreign country.]”
There is also a petition you can sign here.

I'm honestly really angry about the Steam/itch.io situation. forget sliding down the slippery slope of censorship, we're racing on downhill skis towards a society where the rich decide what is "explicit" and "inappropriate" and "degenerate" and if you don't care because "it's just porn games" or whatever the fuck I guarantee you that isn't going to stop at NSFW. it really wasn't that long ago that being gay was a crime, guys.
so fuck these payment processor companies and let's threaten them in the only place they care about: their wallets.

Not only did Itch.io delete all the nsfw games on their platform it is now denying payouts for these games under the guise of “violation of tos”
(Via daff.space on bsky)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One user has suggested to set revenue sharing to 0% to prevent Itch.io from gaining any revenue from these games or other games in the future as a form of protest.
While this may not prevent itch.io from the money they’ve already gained it will prevent them from further gaining revenue on future games purchased from them.
At this point in time it does not matter if Itch.io was pressured into this decision or not. What does matter is they blindly pulled the rug from under many indie game devs, cutting them off from a source of income and continuing to hoard the income that is due to them.
No official statement or any semblance of guilt or sorrow, just a salute emoji and a back turned onto the community that built the website.

Fellow itchio authors: a PSA
Itchio is shadowbanning and taking down work from adult and queer content creators. Please go check your accounts!
My entire catalogue is unsearchable as of now because my account is marked as adult. None of my books have been removed as of yet, but if you have bought my books from there, please go download them just in case. I have removed the "erotic" and anything related to the lgbtq+ community in my tags as well, since they have also removed books with those tags. I am leaving my adult tags up in hopes that if I comply with their TOS, I can still get paid.
Also, with the way that there was no warning, absolutely no rhyme or reason to how this is being done, I'm not sure if we will be getting paid what is owed to us. I personally have a pretty large sum tied up in pending payments right now that if I don't receive, will affect my ability to pay my bills this month and going forward. I'm trying to stay positive, but with the way it is being handled, I'm not sure.
PLEASE DO NOT purchase my books from itchio. I am working on getting them in a temporary home in a google drive folder/giving you my ko-fi link if you can spare some cash for a donation in return. Then I'll figure out where to go. I need to sleep and regulate, and I will work on that tomorrow morning and update y'all when it's ready!
This is such a blow to the community. I have been really loud and proud about publishing on itchio. It was meant to be a way for creators to earn higher royalties and publish darker/more taboo work without fear of censorship. I believe that this is happening because of the pressure big credit card companies are putting on places like steam and now itchio.
I'm not sure if itchio has already been threatened or if they preemptively complied, but I hope they are aware that in losing nsfw creators, they are losing MOST of their income.
Authors on itchio, please turn your revenue split to 0%. This is an excellent way to show them that we don't agree with what they're doing. You can do that by going to your Dashboard > Payouts > Seller Settings > Revenue Share. It is best done on the desktop site.
If you can, write an email to itchio, call Mastercard and Visa and complain about their policies.
This fucking sucks, but i have faith that weird freaky queer work will persist, as it always does.

🩷 PLEASE READ !
Tumblr media
You can still find 14 Days With You on Itch! It's just hidden from view because it has the "NSFW" tag. But regardless of recent events, I will not be reuploading 14DWY anywhere else — so please be cautious of malicious websites that claim to include my game! Itch.io is the only website where you can download 14DWY and its updates.
Please note that I do not permit reuploading, redistributing, or pirating 14DWY. You can read more about this here!

Unfortunately with new changes implimented into itch.io my game has now been delisted from the site (as if it wasnt hard enough for us indie devs).
So I'm sharing the link and asking that this post be liked, reblogged, etc. so its known that my work is still out there, it can still be discovered, and it can still be enjoyed.
Thank you.

so itchio has shadowbanned any games tagged with 'nsfw', 'adult', or 'erotic' so they don't show up in searches, and several devs have reported that their r18 games have been removed from the site with no warning
you know, maybe the internet shouldn’t be controlled by payment processors and terf lobbyists. and maybe people should be more concerned about this rise of censorship on queer media.
