STRUGGLED to sketch metal and still doesn't look quite right!

I quickly sketched the title screen for Fallout 4 while the game was downloading a while back, Then, I worked on values in procreate.

I still need more practice 😅

Honestly, though, Fallout is so fun even years after release! I wish bethesda would add Fallout 3 to PS5 so I could play that one, too.

Was it what you expected? Process explained 👇🏻

1. First I started blocking the colours of the sky in.

2. Then I used gaussian blur to quickly blend the sky and decided to start with the lightest colour of the clouds.

3. Then added the darkest portions of the clouds.

4. Used the smudging tool to get that cloud look. Then made a circle and a smaller circle on top to create the crescent moon.

5. Then Il added a star, darkened trees in the foreground and a couple of birds. Last, I added texture into the darker part of the moon.

Tried to capture a sunset quickly with procreate since my phone never seemed to get the colours right.

The moon was a bit of a learning curve, but overall this was fun to make!

Experimenting with the brushes on procreate. Mostly used the crayon brush. Also struggled with leg placement on this elk.

The antlers were so fun!

Drew a crocodile from memory and then decided I could fit a sketch of a triceratops skeleton, which turned into a fluffy trike. The fossils of Big John were the reference.

I'm aware they likely didn't look like that. It was just a fun concept! 😁

I know I'm late, but all the Year of the Snake posts had me thinking of this neglected fan art for Hilda. I stopped working on since the iPad I was using kept crashing the procreate while working on it 🫠

Oh well. Maybe I'll pick away at it soon when I have more patience 🤷🏼‍♀️

Have you ever had a tamagotchi?

As a kid, it was fun to have your own pet in your pocket! Until you forgot to feed it and came back to a wee tombstone ☠️ At least I think it was a tombstone.. I can't remember.

Since the kids have been watching Castle in the sky so many times, I figured I would practice more digital art by drawing the crystal from the movie. The closest shape to trace was a tamagotchi, which gave me the idea to turn Laputas crystal into a tamagotchi housing one of the robots. 🤖

I could only hope the owner of a Laputa tamagotchi wouldn't forget them like I had all those years ago 😬

Might put this design onto a reusable sticker book or sketchbook for my kids

Theme of the day: Clouds!

The beach scene was fun!

The cloudy sky was trying!

The moonlit mountain lake a struggle!

And the stormy grassland was the bane of my existence! 🫠

Kids have been watching this movie on repeat for a couple months now.

Did these small paintings to practice landscapes with acrylic in a multimedia sketchbook. Also did a tape peel video for those crisp lines.

Any tips for getting the mould smell out of a sketchbook without cutting the corners off? I didn't realize the bottom of my bag was wet with my sketchbook inside 😅😭

Question!

What is the etiquette for reposting?

I'm asking because I see a lot of creators that should be getting more traffick on their accounts and l want to help, but feel that some people don't like their stuff being reposted.

I would obviously make sure that original poster is credited as that is the whole point but is there anything else that I should be doing?
