What is a Heart Transplant Surgery?
The concept of replacing a bad organ with a good one is known as organ transplantation.
Similarly, a heart transplant is a surgical procedure used to treat the most serious cases of heart disease. It is an operation in which a diseased heart is replaced with a healthier donor heart. This surgery is performed on a person who has undergone medicinal treatment and other surgeries, but no improvement was seen in the disease. It is an end-stage treatment option for heart failure.
Heart transplant surgery is done as a life-saving measure for a person suffering from end-stage heart failure.  This surgery has to be carried out by an expert Cardiac surgeon.
 Who needs this surgery?
People suffering from end stage heart failure or their heart might have been caused by:
  Coronary heart disease.
Hereditary conditions.
Viral infections of the heart.
Damaged heart valves and muscles.
By birth heart problem (congenital heart defect).
Failure of a previous heart transplant.
Even if a person has any of these conditions or been through these conditions there are still more factors that need to be considered for heart transplantation.
What is the process of transplant?
 ·         The heart transplant surgery begins with seeking the donor’s heart. A heart donor is a person who is declared brain dead.
·         The cardiac surgeon and his team will connect you to a heart lung machine. It does the work of your heart and takes the stress off your lungs. It pumps out filtered, oxygen-rich blood into your body so your heart is calm during the operation.
·         Then they will removed the diseased heart and replace it with healthy heart.
What to Expect After a Heart Transplant?
1-2 weeks recovery in hospital and for the next 3 months the transplant team will keep monitoring you.
You will also be monitored for any signs or symptoms of rejection, like shortness of breath, fever, fatigue, not urinating as much or weight gain. It is very important to let your cardiac surgeon and his team know if you notice any signs or symptoms of rejection or infection.

Coronary Artery Disease
Coronary Artery Disease
Coronary arteries disease is known as ischemic heart disease (IHD). It contains some cluster of diseases like stable angina, unstable angina, myocardial infarction, and sudden cardiac death. The symptoms of coronary arteries  diseases are chest pain or pain in shoulder and neck. Sometimes there may be some symptoms of heartburn  ,causes due to exercise or emotional stress, hypertension, smoking, diabetes, obesity, high blood cholesterol, etc. the mechanism involves fall of blood flow and oxygen due to atherosclerosis. Prevented  by having healthy diet, regular exercise, and keeping regular weight. This can be diagnosed by ECG, Echocardiogram, nuclear scan, CT angiography. It can be treated by coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG), Coronary stent and Angioplasty.
The primary suspects in the heart attack are the clogged arteries and procedure used for cleaning the clogged arteries of the heart is known as Coronary Angioplasty.
Stent, a round wire mesh is provided as a support in order to help in the opening of the artery and decrease its chances of narrowing again. Stent prevents the structural disintegration. The functions performed by the stent include:-
The physical removal of the blockage by way of opening up the artery while being expanded.
Releasing of the drugs which dissolve the plaque so remained.
What are the treatments of Coronary Artery disease?
Coronary Arteries Disease is a condition which affects the arteries that supply the heart with blood
Treatments – Among all patients with CAD, nearly three fourth requires only medicines and rest of the symptomatic patients may require some form of invasive treatment depending on the findings of the CAG.
Common treatments are of two types –
PTCA(Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty) or ANGIOPLASTY .
The requirement and suitability of each modality of treatment is decided by the treating specialist.
What is the function of Coronary Arteries?
Coronary heart disease often takes decades to develop.
High blood pressure increases the chances of coronary heart disease.
It brings regular exercise and nutrition diet .
If Coronary arteries break completely, then a person may have a heart attack, which is also known as myocardial infarction.
Flow of small breathless breath
nausea
swelling
Coronary artery disease (CAD) or coronary heart disease (CHD) is a serious condition. Arteries  carries oxygen and nutrients containing blood to the heart are damaged or diseased. Many times the plaque also becomes. This plaque (placenta) containing cholesterol on the arteries causes the coronary artery to become diseased.
