My favorite's the American Bushtit, specifically the Pacific morph, and NOT because its name is "funny". They tend to hang out in small flocks and they're not much bigger than a hummingbird! Imagine 5-10 tiny birds on a suet feeder!

I love birdwatchers they’re like “I just saw my ALL TIME FAVORITE BIRD SPECIES! I’ve always dreamed of seeing one in the wild! I am ECSTATIC!” and it’s the most boring looking little brown bird you’ve ever seen.

Found the pastel brushes in procreate. Clouds are always a great go-to for testing new things.

“My berries cluster black and thick
For rich and poor alike to pick.
I’ll tear your dress, and cling, and tease
And scratch your hands and arms and knees.
I’ll stain your fingers and your face,
And then I’ll laugh at your disgrace.
But when the bramble-jelly’s made,
You’ll find your trouble well repaid.”
~The Blackberry Fairy, Cicely Mary Barker
Thought I’d posted the finished one, but apparently not.

When I was a very suicidal trans activist in Texas, Benjamin Sisko saying “sure, you would [die for your people]. Dying gets you off the hook. The question is: are you willing to live for your people?” changed and possibly saved my life. It’s up there with “if we are going to be damned, let us be damned for who we really are” from Picard. Star Trek not only shows us a better world, it teaches us how to make it there
