Hello Yugioh fandom (I've been here for 20 years) I got inspired to draw my version of a future AU with a yami gets a body AU :]

Now that it's been 2 weeks, I feel like I can post this now! This thing intrigues me heavily....

So I’ve just had the most stressful start of the year in recent memory, while it’s not fully over yet I’m definitely getting to a point where I can relax for a bit. I can’t remember the last time there was such consistent work needing to be done, people I needed to keep track of and the (gestures vaguely around) situations didn’t help either.

But! During the breaks I did have, my friends and I have started sharing shows or games we enjoyed with each other and doing so consistently which has made me find a lot of stuff I now love too which has really been soul healing. 

My choice to share with the group was rewatching all of Yugioh (which I haven't for more than a decade) as said friends have never seen it before, and I had a whole new experience with it this time around. I can’t tell you how wonderful it’s been watching again, now being able to understand how stories work way more than when I was a child/teen, and being able to appreciate storytelling choices, do deep character or theme analysis that pinpoints why I love something and actually being able to put it into words. If there’s a media you have fondness over that you haven't watched/played/experienced in a long time, I highly recommend trying to go back and experience it as it is without any other external opinions that may sway you and really analyze what you like or dislike about it. For real, it helped a lot during these stressful times.

I’ll be posting again when inspiration strikes of course, but I just wanted to share :]

Feb was a personal piece I liked, Jul was a limited print sold at a LAN and Dec was a secret santa drawing for a friend, all of which are not posted anywhere and probably won't be.

So, my New Years resolution for 2024 was to animate more, (which I very much did compared to 2023) and I felt like focusing on the things I did enjoy despite being sketchy or WIPS because seeing the growth from the slump is very important! Despite constantly having bigger animations I wanted to make but didn't finish or didn't start, I consider this a big win.

For 2025, my resolution will be the same, here's to even more growth next year :D

Hey, I honestly had this question in my head for some time for RCB. So what does the game over screen look like? Say if you run out of health, fail a timed quest, or make the slightest mistake. Will Sakura have voice lines when the game over screen shows, and maybe have a recall of tips in case they skip it?

Oh good question! This is something I have like, exact image idea for too.

First, I should mention that Sakura would “Save” the game by getting into a meditating pose which can only be done out of combat. If you had allies, they also sit and chill with you too:

Because of this, when you get a game over, it’s played as if she’s thinking about what may happen in the future and made a bad choice. If it was a less important death like a wandering Monokuma, she would say something more generic like “I should be careful.” or a simple sigh. Dying in a normal boss battle, timed quest or some kind of puzzle area that can have a hint she would say something more unique.

But if it were one of the boss fights like Mahiru or Ult. Imposter who are purposely trying to re-despair her, the game over would briefly be her falling into despair again before transitioning back to the save point.

The recall for tips is cool though, that could be a nice qol too :]

See I would LOVE to but unfortunately, I do not have a team to finish a project of that massive scope. But it's fun to think about so I drew it :]

I got a couple of these questions these few months so I wanted to answer:

I haven't stopped thinking about this AU, I assure you! I have a few ideas for drawings and animations I've been wanting to make that I just haven't gotten the motivation to do in between my more consistent workload and original projects.

But I can share an animation experiment I did around a year or so! I wanted to finish it before posting but I think at this point I'm just gonna try something new. Hope you enjoy :]
