Hi I just wanted to say I've been quietly lurking on your blog for two days now and it's really remarkable how your style has developed over just the past year. I think what you have going on right now is so cool—like, you've always been deeply good and talented but there's just something so raw and grounded about your most recent work that hits me right in the gut. Thank you for sharing!

Awwwh thank you SO much !!! I've been trying new stuff and allowing myself some things I had never done before, and especially heavily referencing pictures, screen caps, closeups of different parts (like feet and hands :') ), which I've always been told was cheating (I am self taught, I never got lessons, this "advice" came from my parents, not a real seasoned prof, you know...)

And I figured, hey, why not? Why is it cheating? I'll do it anyway, there is no art police.

And now I have grown as an artist so much because of this and I'm SO happy you noticed ! Thank you again so so so much, this ask I making me feel so happy.

Anyone reading this, take this as a push to do art YOUR way. Try different techniques, mix them up, copy, get inspired, make fan art, make your OC, do YOUR thing !!!

I lost my pawn, my rook, my knight, my bishop, and they even took my queen. But it's not checkmate just yet.

Digital colours over a pencil drawing, I really really like the result. This is a really quick paint job, I think with more time and brainpower this style could really become one of my faves.

I guess my new style for painting digitally is "quick n messy", which... I mean at the very least I am not obsessed with everything being clean because I can't manage to do that anyway 🤣 shading with green again ! In fact i have multiple more green versions but I can't choose 🤣😅

This was a long time ago (10+ years! Time flies !). 1) I don't use it anymore much in my art for reasons and 2) I have learnt and researched since. Also I'm not very much part of the fandom anymore.

Sacrifice, Fmabruary prompt for day 27, now in colour!

This one really wouldn't leave me alone, but I didn't think I could paint what I had in mind traditionally, so I took out the tablet, and I think I have found a new brush for shading 🤔 (digital styl still absolutely inconsistent hi)

And I am extremely happy to tell you guys that you can find free PNGs of human transmutation circles online 😅

The whole month at once !!!!

Is there any specific one you guys liked most ? Or that you want to see with colours ?

This really is the first time I finish a challenge, it's crazy !

It's explained by two factors, obviously, the fact that my FMA (royai mostly lol) hyperfixation is still very strong, but also because February for me is a little less insane than October, believe it or not.

Also I didn't try to make every single drawing a masterpiece, and decided to go with sketches most of the time, which helped me a lot.

Here's to finishing other challenges in the future !

Don't look too closely at the rifle. Arakawa said she used a Mauser 98K as reference which I did too, and I'm very bad at rifles, but what I know is that the ref I took for the pose was with another more modern rifle, and the result is just. Impossible.
