The forgetmenauts! A queer band singing about various mythological/folktale creatures and stories, all of whom are queer! Gay Werewolf Murder Ballad is their best introductory song.
Tumblr media
"The Forgetmenauts weave folklore and mythology into a strange, fresh, and rich soundscape. Their musicality is orchestral, folksy, alternative, and punk all at once. Their lyrics spin old tales and new into exciting and poetic songs that weave together love and queerness, longing and revenge. Come for the Marriage of Bigfoot and Mothman, stay for the Gay Werewolf Murder Ballad."

Limp wrist is my fave queercore band, heavy & awesome
Tumblr media
Limp Wrist are a Philadelphia queer punk band formed in 1998 by Martin Sorrondeguy ex-frontman of Los Crudos (Chicago based all-Latino punk band 1991-98). The group have never lived in the same city together, so tour infrequently, but have released two LPs, self titled Limp Wrist around the late 90s/early 00s, and Facades (2017). Singles include Want Us Dead and Don't Knock It Till You Try It.

The HIRS Collective
Tumblr media
Hailed as 'queercore's resident supergroup' by Alt Press, the HIRS Collective (pronounced 'heers') was founded in 2011 by Jenna Pup and Esem (vocalist and guitarist, respectively) and have since released 2 official studio albums: Friends. Lovers. Favorites (2018) and We're Still Here (2023), but have approximately 50 total releases. Both studios featured prominent artists from various queercore, rock, punk, and hardcore scenes, such as Shirley Manson (Garbage), Marissa Paternoster (Screaming Females), Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance, L.S. Dunes), Sadie Switchblade (G.L.O.S.S, Dyke Drama), Geoff Rickly (Thursday), and Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!). The group has no solidified lineup, and instead focuses on collaborations between artists and trans/queer-based politics in their lyricism.

You're probably sick of seeing haveyouheard or doyouknowthis blog trend by now, but the person behind this blog was impulsive and decided to hop on the trend.
As the url indicates, it is a blog dedicated to asking if you've heard a certain metal band.

Tumblr media
Dog Park Dissidents are an anarcho-punk queercore five-piece from New Orleans, Louisiana/Long Island, New York. From their website:
"Since releasing their breakout viral single Queer as in Fuck You in 2017, Dog Park Dissidents has been gaying up the punk rock scene with their high-energy, high-chaos live shows, 3 whirlwind scream-along EP releases, and that one time they were almost going to play a show with Against Me! in March of 2020 but, you know, they had to cancel it for some reason, who knows why. Currently signed to Say-10 Records with a recent release of their debut album, mixed and mastered by Reade Wolcott and Jack Shirley, the band is primed to explode and shove their deviant lifestyle in mainstream rock's face, frightening parents and causing widespread moral panic."
The group have so far released one debut album The Pink And Black Album, in 2023. They currently have no upcoming show dates set.
