Pardon me but I'm looking for one of the Duck Avenger comics. Admittedly I don't actually know what happens in it but I do remember one part; the ending I believe. Daisy goes on a date with Gladstone as Donald couldn't make it. Donald watches them from a rooftop and wishes that he could just tell Daisy everything but brokenheartedly admits that it's better for her this way as it's a hero's duty to bear the pain so others don't have to. Or something like that. I hope you can help!

For those not in the know, Donald Duck has a popular, long-running comic in the European Disney comics scene as a super hero called Paperinik! (or Phantom Duck or the Duck Avenger over here), when he’s not having bad luck, or doing odd jobs for Uncle Scrooge, he’s saving the world from supervillains and the emotion-harvesting aliens: the Evronians

Today I bring you…. a translation of the last 3 pages of one of my favourite Duck Avenger comic. The gist of the comic was that HDL accidentally exposed Donal’s secret identity as Duck Avenger after trying to impress their neighbour and it basically makes Donald’s life hell. They suggest Donald should move away, Donald tells them to pack their bags and then these pages happen.

I apologize if the font is a bit hard to read, the images were really small so I had to do with what I had. Transcribed versions under the cut.

I might do the whole comic if people are interested but for now I just wanted to share this one, because it always makes me soft, because Donald is the best parent there is.

Note: In german he says “Das Liebste was ich habe!” which I could have also translated with “The thing I love most” but I decided on this instead, though I am sure you could use both interchangably without a lot of change in meaning.

I think this is a good example of how easy it can be to quell the populace into submission with surface level acts, like what everett did in destroying the antennas. The antennas are gone but the system is still there and the people, satisfied with just a small form of justice, forget and move on and never think further on the issue.
