New meri time.

#4 may. Au under cut.

Where do you begin, and where do you end, really?

She was beautiful. She was starlight and nature; I was humanity and fear.

I see the barrel of a gun in the woods.

When night falls, the deer come for me. The prinpricks of starlight morph into the light of their eyes. She leads them, dancing towards me on the lightest of hooves, antlers reaching to god in the heavens above. She says to follow her. She offers her hand to me.

The smoke clears, and it’s him.

I take his hand.

We leave her and the moon behind.

I take a step into the sunlight.

Soooo basically this au is just canon divergence. Meri has an idealized form of lily in her head, that she leaves behind as she comes to understand her father and the circumstances behind her birth. Originally she continues to cling to it, believing clef is a liar and a threat to her and her perception of her mother, but she eventually breaks free. Rest is up to your interpretation, but I’m open to sharing mine if anyone wants to read my yapping.

I hope you guys like the stuff I’ve been trying out so far. I’ll share more soon.

Hi it’s meri time again

Meri #3- lonely god

What is a god? A concept dreamt up by the mind of a lonely fawn wishing to be something more. An idea borne of the belief of a society. An amalgam of souls. You look to your gods and replace their faces with your’s. The stars smile down at you. For all that is good. For all that is holy.

She isn’t a person. She isn’t an individual. Maybe she never was those things to be begin with. She is a collective. She is godly.

Au- meri ascends to godhood after the world ends, absorbing the souls of the creature around her(most of which are animals, not humans). She becomes a sort of hivemind, but due to her past, her mind (sort of the one above all the other minds due to her being the host) shapes her godhood into the mimicry of a saint. She isn’t really a person anymore, just thoughts.

MERI #2: Mirror Mirage

When you look in the mirror, are you sure you’re really looking at your face? It’s been a long time since you’ve seen anyone else. You don’t know if you still remember their faces. You’re not sure if they’re really gone, or if it’s you that’s gone. You miss them. Or you think you do. You don’t really know what to think anymore. It’s lonely. All you can do is look into that cracked mirror, to the face that should be yours.

You don’t remember what you miss anymore.

The world ends (somehow) (or maybe it hasn’t, the au is from meri perspective only and she doesn’t know) and meri is trapped in between worlds (shifting mass style (from slay the princess) yes this is a slay the princess au because I love that game) she’s stuck in a mirror that reflects cracked realities. She glitches between them, becoming a mix or nexus of all these different meris. She can’t really properly think anymore, since she’s an amalgamation of all of their minds, but she does know she’s lonely.

Welcome to meri time, that happens randomly once a month(ish), where i tell you all about a meri au that i cook up in my little noggin and dump a little drawing with it

AU under cut

MERI #1: Doll

A clockwork doll pulled from the dreams of a grieving father— nothing more than an ornamental clock wearing her imperfect visage (at first). She is perfect in the eyes of those who never knew her. Porcelain skin, rosy cheeks, soft lips. Yet she lacks all the fundamental essence of life. Her skin lacks the tan gained by playing from dusk til dawn in the fields and her cheeks lack her sun kissed freckles, every part of her is inherently wrong. With each crack, the clock runs faster. Left behind to rot away, it will continue to count down the years, to the days, to the hours and then finally to the seconds.

Meri comes back after her (natural) death and in Clef’s grief she comes back as a clockwork doll (he reality bends in his sleep and wakes up to clock ticking and his dead daughter brought back as some freaky doll) and she’s counting down to the end of the world (which, in this universe, is always and never) (like it’s happening and isn’t happening at the same time ya dig?)
