Can someone *please* start circulating that gif of Nathaniel yelling “WHERE ARE YOU!?” at the back of Fitz’s head - cuz that actually sums up this whole season for me. Thanks.
Okay yes, safety first always. BUT ALSO remind girls that niceness is absolutely NOT a weakness - it's a superpower. We use niceness like Cap's shield - in defense or as a weapon, for safety's sake. Sure, it's a cute accessory for aesthetic reasons, but it's far more than that.
We hide behind niceness to stay safe. We wield niceness against others to get them to f@ck off already. *grin*
The real trick is knowing which version of 'nice' you're using, when, and to use it for good whenever possible - or, at least, when to give it up and just punch a guy in his unsuspecting face already.
That 'nice' $hit is powerful, ladies. Use it wisely.
Wish-list item (or at least prompt?) for AoS Episode 5's unexpected time-jump...
No idea what time period they jump into, they exit the plane. Simmons sees Fitz, and overwhelmed from missing him so much, she runs over for a classic return embrace and epic smooch!
...Only to quickly discover it's a VERY confused Season 1 Fitz and she's just sent a pretty massive wave through the timeline.
It's well into December at this point, but c'est la vie! Merry Christmas!
It’s done!
My Secret Santa gift to @contraryrhythm has been such an exciting whirlwind to make! I think I got the rest of it in just under the wire (of my own making), but here it finally is in all its entirety! Read on A03 or FF.net
Prompt: FitzSimmons get into a heated argument.
It’s December at Shield Security Systems. Amidst the festive party planning and hoards of holiday shoppers, an IT worker (Fitz) and a temporary Admin Assistant (Jemma) meet while trying to prepare a career-changing presentation. When they find themselves working together during a month already filled with so much stress and obligation, tensions rise and tempers are tested. Will they realize how perfect they are together before the clock strikes midnight?
Desperada happened and Adrien needs the world's strongest hug. And I'm far too old for Luka.
1. Adrien spent MONTHS of 5 minute repeat moments trying to save ladybug?? MONTHS??? Like, a day would have been a lot. MONTHS?!?!?! *is floored*
2. Maybe this is the wise old auntie in me, but this episode solidified my Luka opinion. Luka... *closes eyes and takes a breath* Luka is going to be a great first boyfriend. He's got looks. He's got *cough* depth. He can play the guitar.
Unpopular Opinion time: Luka's a bit dull and Luka's a bit... dumb.
The boy decided the best way to help ladybug fight an intense supervillain... was to play his guitar in her general direction?? Twice?? That was his go-to move. Twice. I can't. I'm all for the distraction tactic, but baby boy - Think. Outside. The Music Box.
Luka... Luka is that guy in first year college that plays wonderwall at parties - not to get girls, to let himself FEEL THE MUSIC. I just - if yall aren't old enough to have experienced "that guy" yet, enjoy the ride that is Luka Couffaine. That beautiful, beautiful, simple boy.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Luka. He *is* brave and kind and loyal and all that. Marinette will definitely date him for at least a little, because he's exactly what she needs to move forward and grow. "That guy" exists as catnip for young girls to feel FEELINGS.
But his character boils down to a guitar and a nice smile. Once the bubbles of those feelings fall flat (they always do) she'll realize that's all that's really left... BUT she'll at least have the songs he's written to remember the experience by! *rests eyes*
I have no words. My mind is blown, my heart is full, and that was... bloody fucking amazing. It feels so good to have such a love letter of an episode for my ship. <3 <3 <3
