Hyerim had been hit by nostalgia during the tour, memories of her competitions in different countries. the security guard needed a break, a moment to herself to get a hold of herself after the sad thoughts that clouded her mind with glimpses of the past, she needed some fresh air before she could get on the right mindset to work, or at least that was what she believed. and so, the pretty security made her way out of the building, wanting to get a coffee, maybe something to eat, anything to get her back to the present and away from the what if land.��

the bittersweet memories had been quickly pushed to the back of her mind as she made eye contact with a fellow security guard.  “ you shouldn’t be smoking here” she said, her voice in the same tone as his. he shouldn’t be smoking at all but who was she to say anything about taking proper care of someone’s health. “ hotel policity.” she added while pointing at the free of smoke sign. “ we don’t want bad press to the company.”

today’s weather was significantly better, which is why haneul took his smoke break outside. leaning against the entrance of the hotel building, the man pushed a cigarette into his mouth, patting down his dark jeans for his lighter. ignoring the glare of the concierge and the disdain from random guests, he lit up, inhaling deeply before his tatted hand pulled the cigarette from his lips. smoke danced from his lips once he released into an exhale. after his first puff, he straightened up once more. han continued his smoking in silence until the doors of the hotel opened once more, and someone else emerged. their eyes locked. “ — can i help you ? ” his tone was neutral, his face blank as he placed the cigarette back between his lips.

It was intimidating, and really, quite insulting that Hyerim’s smile faded as soon as she realized it was Seonhwa the one talking to her. The soloist couldn’t understand why the other woman disliked her so much since they had never really talked as much. It was no secret that Seonhwa wasn’t completely happy in Infinite Entertainment, but she had always treated everybody with respect. But it seemed that had never been enough, because people still thought the worst of her.

“They aren’t there, I already checked. And they’re not answering their phones, and I really need one of them.” It wasn’t like she would vanish into thin air without caffeine, but she could use a venti latte. “Can you help me? Please. There’s no way I can keep walking around the hotel like this, and you probably have a way to contact them.” Or anybody who knew where they were. Seonhwa certainly had no idea of how the staff worked to stay communicated, but she supposed Hyerim knew if there was.

hyerim nodded at her words before pulling her radio from the pocket, “hyerim here, can someone tell me the location of miss seonhwa’s managers?” she asked before repeating again her question to make it clear yet no reply came. a tired sigh left her lips as she knew she would have to help her in whatever she needed since no one had dared to reply to her (or maybe everyone was busy at the moment.)

“why do you needed them for?” the guard asked, eyes looking around them one last time, hoping for the managers to magically appear but, as expected, it didn’t happen and so hyerim’s attention returned to seonhwa. “something i can help you with?” she asked, eyebrow raised in questioning manner as she spoke. it better be good.

A lot of people thought the worst of Seonhwa because she wasn’t as social as other idols, because she wasn’t happy with a new team that knew nothing about her, when she had all the right to be upset because the people who had been with her from the beginning of her career were gone. And that ridiculous gossip blog being just downright awful wasn’t helping. With a sigh, she walked over to the other. “Hey, Hyerim-ssi. I’m sorry to bother you. I was wondering if you have seen any of my managers around.”

it was odd for someone like hyerim to end up working where she did, someone who had avoided the spotlight for months, someone who avoided social interactions so much was now working for an entertainment company. back on her days of youth, she would have never thought she would end up there but alas she was. in the start it seemed terrible for her, only working for the sake of needing a job but slowly it started growing on her when she met with young trainees under the company in them she could see something to what she could relate. passion. love for what they did. seeing them give everything for their dream brought memories to her and that was the only reason the cold security guard was warm to the youngsters since she could see herself on them, her own dreamer version of herself.

hyerim smiled at the young trainee, “ you did well ” she praised after the show, them having come as backup dancers, it wasn’t what they dreamt but it was one step closer according to hyerim’s words of comfort to them. though the smile on her lips was quick to vanish when company joined them and the young trainee left. the guard turning her attention to  her “ yes? ” she asked. the girl shook her head at her question. “no, i haven’t. they must be at the back on the dressing room.”

Only child born to a family with a long line of Archers, well known archers for being part of Korea’s team. All the males in the Do family were archers, that was until her father.  He broke the tradition and became a fencer, and once Hyerim was old enough to hold the foil, her father began training her.

Fencing became the only thing she knew, it became her priority all thanks to her father, even schoolwork and making friends came second to that.

Short story, Hyerim was okaysh at school, had 0 social life but she strived in fencing to the point of being noticed by the National Fencing Team.

Hyerim was quick to be lined up in the Olympics and while she was competing there she got to the finals though sadly injured her leg in the middle of the match and since she forced herself to finish it, the injury only got worse. Though no one outside her team knew about it.

So after becoming an almost olympic gold medalist, Hyerim disappeared. Instead she began living a quiet life.

That was until Infinite ent. contacted her to become part of the security. She is quick and meticulous, with strategies and good at improvising them as well. She accepted and now she is here!.

During cold days you might see her limping.

Plot ideas!!:

A fan. You recognized her from her fencing days and are a little starstruck that THE Do Hyerim is there working on the same company! Though you wonder...Why did she disappear suddenly after the Olympics?

First Friend/close friend. Hyerim lacks a lot in the social aspect, she tends to stay by herself. since she never had a chance to make friends the idea of making friends now since foreing though you never gave up and now you are her closest friend.

I caught you. Hyerim still practices from time to time, hoping to go back to where she was though only frustration comes when she finds herself lacking in the only thing she was good at. You catch her one day crying after one of those sesions...what will you 

Crush. Hyerim never had the chance to be interested in boys, she had always to focus on fencing, but now she is free to live her life and with it comes the sudden interest in friends and boyfriends, he poked that interest in her though she is too awkward around him, will he ever return her feelings.

Serious. Hyerim is too serious with strangers, your think that it’s only with you since you have seen her laugh so happily with First Friend, perhaps she hates you?
