Making a AU where Brozone was able to achieve the perfect family harmony the first time :33
They become a lot closer with each other after, and they all have a lot more trust towards JD and are more accepting of his controlling behavior with the band because thats what helped them to achieve the perfect family harmony. There’s a lot of unresolved tension between everyone because of this though(except maybe like branch at least in that moment).
During the Bergen escape they ‘lose’ Clay, and the remaining members disband Brozone. They don’t exactly really separate from each other, and it actually keeps them closer together. Branch would start a solo career soon after with JD helping as his manager. With JD never really growing out of being controlling and everyone else being more complicit with it well…
TLDR : Branch grows up as a overworked child star
Im still figuring things out so some things maayyyy change. Floyd and Bruce I honestly dont really know what to do with them exactly. Like I said Im figuring things out still.

do yall ever think that the reason branch was so in sync with the reggaeton and kpop trolls was because the last time he was in a band (brozone) and the choreography was changed his brothers left him because they failed or are u normal

I love this mini series so much!
Hanging out
─ Tenjiku x fem!reader
─ Summary: you have the courage to ask the guys who tried to recruit you to hang out
─ Warnings: swearing, mention of ways to die, kisaki
Part one / Part three / Part four
no because I'm thinking of making a miniseries for these bois because I'm an idiot for them 😭 I think I did it a bit long, sorry-
"Come on honey! It's the first time in a long time that you've been out with friends, or talked to someone, or seemed to have friends, or-
"Mom, you don't need to degrade me anymore, I know I don't have friends."
"But not anymore! That's why you have to go out with them, you can't spend your life locked in your room."
"What are we betting? If it's the family heritage then…" a bump grew on your head from the blow your mother gave you "Okay, okay, I guess I can try to get out of the house."
"That's it! Get out there and shine love, you deserve everything good in the world."
"Even the family herit-?"
You didn't even finish when you already had another bump on top of the previous one, deciding to leave the subject you said goodbye to your mother, well, she had to go with a friend, meanwhile you finished doing some pending things that you had to finish by tomorrow. When you finished, you threw yourself on your bed, flipping through the social networks a bit, doubting whether to contact the boys, after all, you only met them once in person, the rest was all conversations in the group that Izana put you in, although you had a lot of fun with them there, it's not the same to talk on a screen than face to face.
After several minutes you decided to take a brave step, seeing that some of them were even talking on the group chat.
Tenjiku will rule the world
[Matchstick] So i grabbed the bat and left him bleeding in the alley
[Izana] deserved more punishment tbh
[Izana] we can't go easy on traitors
[Sanzu] next time leave it to me
[Sanzu] i won't let them recognize the corpse
[You] is that a new flirting method?
[You] i don't think it's very effective
[Izana] aye
[Izana] glad to see you're on
[Shion] not me
[Kaku] stfu
[Rat] protective boyfriend material huh?
[Kaku] stfu too Rat
[You] yeah leave my baby alone
[Rat] whatever [Rat] can you at least change my name?
[You] nah, i like Rat more than rindou, it suits you better
[Rat2] can you change mine?
[Rat2] i'm supposed to be the oldest
[Rat2] he would have to have the 2 not me
[Mochi] picky boy
[You] okay
You have changed the nickname of Rat2 to Rannabelle
[Rannabelle] …
[Matchstick] pfft-
[Kisaki] i keep asking why you decided to include her in the group
[Kisaki] the rumors were false after all
[Izana] do you have something against the opinion of your superior?
[Matchstick] bro she's funny
[Kisaki] ...
[You] anyway
[You] who tf are you?
[Shion] oh right, they didn't meet in person
[Kisaki] i wouldn't like it either tbh
[Sanzu] speak for you
[You] i already like you Sanzu [You] you're already among the 'handsomes'
[Shion] not that shit again- [Shion] you didn't even see him
[You] i don't need
[Koko] you're just jealous cause you're not in the handsome group [Shion] i'm not jealous [Koko] sure [You] anyway i have something to ask [Matchstick]shoot
[Rat] you want a date with me? aww, of course! [You] yikes [You] i think i prefer a date with a homeless man who can time travel than you
[Kaku] i'm really concerned about your mental health right now [Izana] she's just in her haunting nature [Rannabelle] bet she likes me more than you rin [You] i like hanma better ngl
[Matchstick] bwahahah~ i'm the favourite ♡ [You] no, you're not ♡
[Matchstick] </3
[Izana] so... what do u want to ask?
[You] oh right
[You] i was just wondering if you guys had some free time to hang out?
[Izana] sure ;)
[Kaku] i'm in
[Matchstick] of course i have to get to be the favorite~
You didn't pay attention to the other messages, the truth is that Izana and Kakucho were enough for you, you weren't going to belittle Hanma either, he was trying anyway. You just texted a couple more to meet up at a certain place, quickly got ready in the most comfortable clothes you could find, plugged your headphones into your phone to have a walk to the location.
Normally you were like a damn rock when it came to expressing your feelings or opening up to people, you didn't like to socialize much but it wasn't a pain either (depending on the person), the fact that you didn't like to talk or express yourself a lot didn't mean you were one of those people who get nervous when they have to order pizza by phone, call a waiter or order a drink at any bar. But today you had that little nervous feeling, as if these guys were going to judge you and decide if you were worthy or not, even though it was clear that they already liked you a little for the simple fact of adding you to their group chat.
You were pessimistic so you kept those feelings throughout the journey, however, swallow them because as soon as you saw the boys just forgot them, there were three people you didn't know, the rest were Izana, Kakucho, Hanma and the Haitani brothers. You assumed that neither Koko, nor Shion, nor Mochi were there because they had to do something important or simply didn't want to see you.
"Hey honey, here!"
Hanma waved his hand as his eyes met yours, drawing your attention to come closer once and for all, you murmured a greeting to everyone, looking at the three new faces.
"So you don't intend to introduce me to your friends? Oh wait, I want to guess, can I?"
"Go ahead, please give us one of your amazing comparisons."
Rindou said, completely amused, even though you also messed with him, your comparison ability can always make fun of others, it's not like you make distinctions, no one was going to escape your critical eye.
"Mmmh… I don't know why I have the feeling that the one who seems bacterophobic is Sanzu" you pointed to the long-haired boy who had a mask covering half of his face "he seems to have pretty features, and Sanzu is in that side without hesitation."
"Madarame must be tossing and turning in his bed when he heard you, you've got it right."
Sanzu offered you his hand in greeting, noticing how his eyes narrowed a little, he had a cheeky smile that no one could see. The next one you looked at was Mucho, he seemed almost as stoic as you, another rock on the team huh? You also guessed that it was him, then you exchanged glances with the boy with glasses who seemed to be here by force, there was no one else left so he could only be…
"Are you Kisaki? Man, aren't you cute? Are you the baby of the group or something?"
Everyone tried to hold back their laughter when you approached him to ruffle his hair in an affectionate way, more like to annoy him a bit, poor boy, you were taller than him so your action and comment only irritated him more than he already was, he moved away your hands from his head, clicking his tongue.
"Maybe you're taller, but I'm sure I surpass you in age and intelligence."
The others looked at the interaction, you had that dark look that managed to scare away so many fucking thugs, it looked like you wanted to hit him right there, but they didn't expect you to laugh like Izana the time he met you.
"Oh please, don't be silly, I'm older than you, in fact, I think I'm older than all of you."
"You're kidding, aren't you? Most of us here are of legal age and you are still studying."
Izana questioned looking at you, you scratched the back of your neck sighing, you weren't very proud to admit it, but it's not like it was a big deal either.
"Well, I'm nineteen, I repeated a couple of courses…"
"You what!?"
The Haitani brothers were the ones who were most shocked by the new information about you, you just downplayed it, the last thing you wanted right now is to be treated differently because of your age, even if it's only a year older than some, these guys can be very offended at not being the oldest.
Kakucho finished off the general daze, talking about doing something and not just standing there like idiots, so you guys moved around just taking a walk while talking about random nonsense, it went pretty well, at least the guys appreciated some 'healthy' time, since usually their free time was also related to causing chaos in other gangs.
The truth is that it was not as bad as you thought, they all seemed quite funny, Izana and Kakucho managed to drag you into every interesting thing they saw, more like the leader of Tenjiku, Kaku thanked you because he could see his friend behaving like if he were a kid again (although he did threaten the others if they made fun of Iza for being a bit softer).
Hanma and the Haitani brothers tried to irritate or flirt you, you just looked at them with a blank face, completely ignoring them when they brought up the whole 'love' and 'relationships' thing, when they weren't bothering you they were quite nice, but that meant that now you were messing with them, that was your mechanics.
Surprisingly, after a while you and Kisaki 'clicked' simply because Hanma was bothering you both, you looked at each other silently as if you could communicate with your eyes, ignoring the poor boy as you started small talk out of the first thing that came to your mind, of course that didn't stop your little comments about him being smaller than you either.
Sanzu and Mucho stayed more on the sidelines, you didn't complain, they seemed more reserved than the others, or at least less expressive, you understood them perfectly because you were like that most of the time, it's just that these guys ─Izana more than anything─ made you take out to bring out your more sociable side a little more, it was different and nice.
But you knew well that hanging out with a gang would bring trouble, some punks recognized most of the group you were with, how could they not anyway? You were unintentionally involved in a small fight, but you weren't scared either when the fistfights between the teenagers started flying back and forth, you knew it was going to happen at some point so you just watched on the sidelines disinterestedly.
Ironically, Kisaki stayed by your side ─this guy doesn't know how to fight─ because the guys felt threatened by your dark gaze, honestly you were a little scared now, but only when one of the thugs came up to pick a fight with you, you saw yourself in the obligation to use your second wild card.
´"If you get one step closer, I promise that death will be the most beautiful thing you want to wish for, how do you want your body to be found? Ah, better if they don't find it, right?"
They immediately backed away, you're lucky most people find it hard to read your true expression because if they were like Kakucho the first time you met him they would have already beaten you up. But it didn't end there, there was another brave man who came up thinking that despite your threats you would be an easy target, which, well, you were.
Everyone seemed to see just as you were hit square on the cheek, your body seemed to fall in slow motion until you hit the ground, you closed your eyes letting a tired sigh slip past your lips, watching out of the corner of your eye as Kisaki did his best to defend himself against that same guy. You dedicated yourself to looking at the clouds in the sky without even getting up again, as if you were an opossum playing dead, hey, at least that way they wouldn't hit you again.
You only lay there for a long time, you even closed your eyes because you were starting to get bored, the boys only took a few more minutes, all their bodies surrounding you, guilt gnawed at some more than others ─Kakucho was very angry with himself─ but still it remained there.
"Do you think she's dead?"
"That's something very pessimistic, I haven't been able to go on a date with her yet."
Hanma and Ran murmured over the others who kept their questions as to whether you were okay inside, they didn't know if you were that weak or not, if you suffered from some disease or anything that could literally kill you, much to their relief you opened one of your eyes noticing how the sunlight darkened because their figures obscured it.
"It takes something more forceful than a punch to kill someone, unless the person is hit with a more forceful object or has already been seriously injured, statistically it is impossible for someone to die from a punch, well, unless it is a newborn baby."
"Oh never mind, she's perfectly fine."
Everyone sighed with relief, some being more audible than others, Kakucho helped you up, asking your forgiveness for not helping you before they hit you and they decided to go to a store to buy you a cold patch for the bruise that began to form on your cheek.
"Did you really just lie on the ground to wait?"
You hummed affirmatively at Mucho's question, who was waiting with you outside for the others to leave the store, you saw that he tried to hide his small laugh at your stupidity, if he had received that blow he would not have remained impassive, that person would definitely have to have a broken neck.
"We will accompany you home, come on."
"Huh? Izana, I appreciate it, but I'm not five years old."
"We're not taking no for an answer."
"Kakucho, not you too… I'm literally older than you."
“Well, look how we don't give a shit."
You looked at Rindou with a grimace for simply dismissing your words that you didn't need a squad to escort you home, but you couldn't do anything, even Kisaki accompanied you even though he said that he had business elsewhere.
These guys would cut their tongues out before admitting it out loud, but they took a liking to you in no time, and even though these idiots were a year younger than you (most of them) they would start behaving more carefully around you, they're not going to let today's incident happen again because they definitely wanted to spend more time with you.
"Gang members but you're being soft because someone hit a girl you only talk to from a group chat, that's cute."
You closed the door of your house in their faces after saying that, you laughed silently when you heard several shouts about how they weren't being soft and that they weren't cute for that, except for Hanma, he just smiled with his typical smile because you said he was cute, did that mean that he was advancing in his position to be your favorite?

⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
it was the next morning and you could barely sit up, your body completely sore from all the adventures you went on yesterday. yet, it didn’t help that you couldn’t get a wink of sleep last night because of those stupid words on that origami heart.
you let out a deep sigh, wincing in pain as you rolled around in your bed, being wrapped around in your blanket. you let out a muffled scream in your pillow from frustration, followed by a whine-like cry.
“i hate you, izana.” you murmured, feeling confused and desperate for answers. but, you know that neither you nor izana had one.
you eventually got up and did your usual morning routine, putting on your slippers as you headed downstairs with a yawn. you were welcomed with the sound of an unfamiliar woman’s voice shouting at one of the cook’s, making you stop yawning as you furrowed your eyebrows.
“you absolute piece of human trash, do you call this a proper english breakfast?! the poached eggs are way too overcooked, the citrus flavor is too overpowering and the muffin is harder than a rock! how are you even qualified to work in such a mighty palace? i’ll have you fired at once!” you heard her voice get more aggressive, making you burn in anger.
“hey, if you don’t fucking like the damn food, then why don’t you make it on your own? didn’t god give you two functioning hands or are you too much of a damn bimbo to know how to use them, huh?” you said through gritted teeth, approaching the figure of the woman who had her back turned against you.
she had long hair, dressed well which meant that she was definitely a noble if not a princess, and her voice was annoyingly high-pitched.
“tch, who the hell are you to fire my cooks?” you scoffed, grabbing her shoulder as you forced her to turn around. your eyes widened as you were met with the familiar face, the girl equally harboring the same reaction as you.
mai.
“you?” you both said in unison, your grip on her loosening as you moved back for some distance.
“why are you here?” you asked, cutting straight to the chase as you were still pissed about how she just waltzed her way in your palace and acted like she owned shit.
“i could ask you the same. don’t you have a family to take care of?” she gave you a judgmental look, making you roll your eyes as you forgot that your first meeting with her was when you were helping that lost kid find her mother.
“so what if i do, is it bothering you that i’m visiting my cousin?” you taunted, a small smirk dancing on your lips.
“why of course. low-life people like you bother me, you’re nothing but a scum who doesn’t deserve to be called a royal. you thought i forgot about that day?” mai laughed, her tone possessing nothing but malice and mock.
“you were dressed like your clothes were donated by the homeless and you’re life is awfully pitiful. i assume that you’re eighteen, no? yet, you have a husband who is most likely not a noble and his child. oh dear, don’t tell me you ran away and married the love of your life!” she gasped, her words expressing faux sympathy as you felt like smacking the living shit out of her.
a part of you encouraged you to blindly blurt out the truth, to rip that arrogant and shitty heart of hers in two by saying that the man who she’s been with is your so-called pitiful husband.
but, where’s the fun in that?
“i guess you’re not a bimbo after all, huh? but, at the same time, you’re even more tragic than me.” you giggled, walking past her as you walked inside the kitchen to warm up some of the leftover ramen you had in the middle of the night.
you heard the angry stomps following behind you, making you smile in satisfaction.
“the fuck is that supposed to mean?” mai angrily said, making you hum in response.
“girls like you have no heart and no soul, you’re nothing but a puppet to your parents. what’s wrong? is daddy’s filthy money not enough to fill that void inside you? i’ve been reading and seeing through girl’s like you my whole life. to understand me, you’ll have to be reborn on this earth twice more.” you harshly spat out with a grin before taking a bite of your food.
“you’re right, that’s exactly my motive. but, that’s because i’m following the law and order of nature and my duty as a princess. marrying lord kurokawa will bring an immense amount of blessings to my father’s kingdom-”
“and then you’ll toss him away.” you cut her off, looking at her with piercing eyes as she harshly gulped.
“what?” she answered speechlessly.
“izana is just a shiny little game piece for you to hit the jackpot, and after you win it, he serves no purpose. what will you and you father plan to do? you’ll kill him.” you bluntly answered, making mai look at you with eyes the size of two full moons as you read all her plans in a matter of seconds. you saw small beads of sweat form on her head, a nervous look plastered all over her face.
her silence was enough to give you an answer.
“and even after knowing all of this, what will you do? even if you try to tell lord kurokawa, he’ll never believe your words. you may be his blood, but i’m his future wife whom he loves. i have him wrapped around my fingers.” mai confidently said, an evil chuckle leaving her lips as she looked at you with a menacing facial expression.
you simply shrugged your shoulders before giving her a sly smirk. your unbothered behavior ticked her off, making her bite the inside of her cheek.
“i wasn’t planning to. i’m nothing more than his cousin, therefore, it’s not my job to interfere with his life. however, izana’s not as dumb as you may think. he’ll connect the dots himself. my world doesn’t revolve around him nor you.” you said your final words to her, not wanting to see her face any longer. you got up from your seat, leaving to head back to your room.
“my, my, just how self-centered could you get? ah! i never got your name. i’m mai, i felt like you should know. and your name?” she asked, making you halt your steps.
“a useless and brainless piece of shit like you isn’t worthy of knowing my name.” you sharply said as you side eyed her, before continuing to walk upstairs.
you saw the cook from earlier coming out of the bathroom, wiping her tears as she sniffled. you stopped in your tracks, your face dropping as you felt bad for how she was treated earlier.
“hey.” you called out, grabbing her attention as she quickly composed herself, clearing her throat before bowing.
“your highness, my apologies for all the disruption i have caused. i was about to leave my resignation letter on lord kurokawa’s desk, but i suppose it would be best if i leave it to you.” she said as she pulled out the letter, biting down her lip to suppress a pained cry as you could visibly see her glossy eyes.
you walked towards the cook, grabbing the resignation letter and ripping it to tiny pieces. you gave her a small smile before pulling her into a tight hug. her body stiffened, your actions taking her by surprise. yet, it only took a few seconds before she hugged you back tighter, sobs exiting her mouth as you rubbed her back in a comforting way.
“you’re not fired, okay? mai doesn’t own this palace and she never will, she may be izana’s mistress, but i’m still legally his wife. and don’t let her stupid nonsensical words get to your head, alright? your food is the best of the best!” you tried to cheer her up and it worked, her smile returning as she even let out a small chuckle.
“you’re too kind, your highness. every royal should be more like you, you’re like a fresh spring breeze after a cold war. i don’t know why lord kurokawa is so oblivious about your perfections. no offense, but it’s truly his loss.” she kept flooding you with compliments, a small blush dusting your cheeks as you let out a flustered laugh.
“stop, you’re making me feel shy. thank you for your kind words, but, i don’t need lord kurokawa in my life. i am more than enough myself.” you proudly said and the cook hummed in agreement.
“absolutely, one of the strongest people i have ever met. you’re the only person who’s ever talked back to lord kurokawa and put him in his place. matter of a fact, you’re also the only person that has ever called him by his first name after his family passed.” she informed you about the new fact that you were unaware of.
“really? interesting.” you said, now thinking back that even mai referred to him as his title.
“i better get back to work, i’ll ask lady mai if she’d like me to try again.” the cook offered you a warm smile as she wrapped her apron.
“oh, that won’t be necessary. tell the guards outside to escort her out, i don’t want her anywhere near the premises of this castle. or else i’ll beat the shit out of her.” you said as your tone dropped, your eyes becoming dark.
“of course.” she quickly replied before hurrying downstairs.
—
“are you fucking serious, y/n?!” an angry izana stormed inside the living room, a sigh leaving your lips as you were mentally preparing yourself for what was to come. you continued to ignore him, filing your nails as you didn’t pay any mind to him.
“i’m talking to you.” he sneered, snatching away the file before throwing it on the floor. you looked up at him with unamused eyes before giving him a sarcastic smile.
“no, you were yelling at me, izana. fix your mouth, then we can talk.” you snapped back, bending down to grab your nail filer. izana looked at you in disbelief, jaw locking from how you were dismissing his anger.
you could feel his eyes piercing holes in your body from how intense his glares were. but, quite frankly, you didn’t care.
“ah, you’re pissed because i disposed your little girlfriend like the trash she is, right?” you looked at him innocently, pretending that you were thinking hard and long for the cause of his shitty mood.
“watch your damn mouth. i heard everything, from the maids and from mai. all she was doing was giving the cook some constructive criticism on the food. you had no right to throw her out of the castle like she’s some kind of peasant!” izana bellowed, hovering above your sitting figure. you scoffed, pushing his stomach to create some distance between you both.
“you’re so tiring, izana. honestly, i think they chose the wrong person to lead the war. you wanna know why? because you’re just so fucking dumb.” you laughed, getting up before giving him a pat on the shoulder. izana harshly took a hold of your wrist, pulling you back as he grabbed your jaw.
“you dare to speak to me like that, woman?” izana snickered, your cheeks and jaw aching from his hold as you tried to peel his hands off. you strategically kicked his shin, making him groan in pain as he let go of you.
“touch me again and i’ll fucking rip your fingers off, you pathetic fool.” you scoweled, looking at him with teary eyes as his actions took you by surprise.
“and to think that i could finally get along with you. i was wrong, you’re a freak, y/n. you think that every person on this earth is like your parents because they’ve been brainwashing you for years. it’s time for you to wake up.” izana lowly said, looking at you with nothing but some kind of pity that was filled with disgust. you looked at him with wide eyes, your mouth agape as your brain refused to process his words.
freak?
you looked down at your feet, hands balling into fists as your heart was set on flames. was this really how he thought of you to be?
“how could you be this blind, izana? she doesn’t love you, she never did!” you grabbed his shoulders, shaking him back and forth as tears began to stream down your cheeks. but, you no longer cared.
izana scoffed, harshly shoving you off of him.
“seriously, what is wrong with you? don’t tell me that you’re jealous.” izana tauntingly laughed, making you gulp harshly. izana noticed the change in your expression, making him hum.
“ah, so it is. i’ve told you from the beginning that this marriage was nothing but a contract between families. i don’t love you, y/n, and i never will. i started to like you, you know as a friend, but now my hatred for you is back and stronger.” he bitterly spewed, you mind fogged up with all kinds of thoughts. izana’s eyes were piercing your soul, face scrunched in disgust as you felt small.
“so then why… why did you kiss me? do you think that just because i grew up different, my feelings are some kind of a joke?” your voice cracked, eyes red and swollen from the salty warm tears tainting your face. izana looked at you with a glint of sympathy before letting out a heavy sigh.
“it was a mistake that happened in the heat of the moment, i got carried away. besides, we both agreed to forget about it.” izana cleared his throat, averting his gaze from you.
you gulped harshly, the lump in your throat feeling awfully painful. with weak steps that you took towards me, your shaky and slightly sweaty hands grabbed him by the collar. izana’s eyes shot back at you, suprised by your sudden action.
“how could i just forget it when it set my heart on fire? how could you be so dull, you stupid prince! tell me.. do you regret it?” you asked, eyes begging for an answer as izana looked at you. he bit the inside of his cheeks, feeling the quiet hammering of your heart against your chest.
“yes, of course i regret it. it shouldn’t have been you that i kissed but mai.” he dryly answered, making you choke on your words. your hands released your grip, arms now laying limp to the side.
“so was i just a toy for you to use, huh?! when your precious little slut isn’t around you use me for your sexual tendencies, you absolute dick!” you swore, landing a tight slap on his cheeks.
“you shitty bastard, get lost from my sight.” you spat with venom, turning around to walk away from the figure that now stood ashamed.
—
izana watched your figure slowly get smaller and smaller as you walked upstairs to you room. he grabbed the flower vase and smashed it on the ground, groaning in frustration as his mind was a mess. a part of him was furious at how you could’ve betrayed him and cause such havoc while knowing his circumstances. yet, the other part of him desparately wished to believe your words.
but, he couldn’t. izana loved mai for years, meeting the girl at a royal dinner party hosted by her parents a few years back when his parents were alive. she was your typical princess, a young lady who was neat, well-mannered and acted like a royal.
there was nothing different about her which set her to be more unique than the other girls that he has encountered before. nonetheless, the prince has fallen in love with her after being approached by the princess herself.
one thing led to another and a relationship would bloom, causing izana to have his eyes set for only mai.
that was until you came along, setting chaos and fire in his world. izana would forget about everything that existed in his life, you were so different. you didn’t abide by the rules, you didn’t obey him and you never submitted to anyone but yourself.
izana liked your stubborness and how fiesty you were.
this threw him in a mush of confused feelings, which worsened after the events of yesterday.
the prince of the kurokawa kingdom was all set for war, packing his car with all of his weapons, necessary clothes, kits, etc. majority of his supplies were already on stand-by as his army was vast.
izana arrived in front of mai’s castle, wanting to pay her a last visit before he was off to war. he rang the bell before being wlecomed by the maids.
“is mai home?” he asked, a single rose in his hand. the maid bowed in respect before nodding her head.
“lady mai is in the garden, lord kurokawa.” she informed the prince, making him hum in understandment. izana walked to the garden’s doors which were left open as he peaked his head, eyes falling on his lover whom was speaking to her father.
he didn’t mean to eavesdrop, really he didn’t, but he was glad that he did.
“so that woman has caught on to our plans, daughter?” mai’s father said in a groggy voice, a cigar placed in between his lips.
“yeah, but i doubt izana’s gonna believe a single word coming from her mouth. he’s too stupidly in love with me to care about what she has to say.” mai cunningly responded, making izana’s skin crawl from how malicious she sounded. his eyes were wide, not wanting to belive what his ears were hearing.
“we’re not in the clear just yet, honey. i’ll have my men work on something to get rid of that pesky girl and then we’ll take care of izana.” the man cackled, ruffling his daughter’s hair before heading towards the door.
izana quickly hid behind the pillar, waiting for mai’s father to disappear before trying to fix himself. he entered the garden, being met with mai’s surpised face which would soon be replaced with a quick smile.
“my love! when did you get here?” mai squealed, throwing her hands around his neck. the mere touch of her flesh on his made his skin burn from disgust and anger.
“a few minutes ago, i had to stay behind to listen to your little daddy and daughter talk.” izana cut straight to the chase, feeling mai’s body stiffen as she pulled back, a horrified look on her face.
“w-what?” she stuttered, making izana tauntingly chuckle.
“you little minx, you thought i wouldn’t find out? i was so blinded by your witchcraft that i just ruined my relationship with the only person who cared and looked out for me.” he spoke through gritted teeth, shoving the woman away from him.
“no, NO! you’re mistaken, my beloved, no such thing was ever spoken between me and my father. i love you, lord kurokawa. don’t let someone as low as that cheap cousin of yours get in our lives.” mai cried, attempting to hug izana again only to be swatted away like she was some kind of ugly creature.
“shut up, you good for nothing of a woman. y/n’s not my cousin, she’s my wife. it’s a stupid lie both me and her went along with because i was arranged to marry her. i heard everything, you can’t even defend yourself.” izana scoffed, watching the blood drain from her face as she began to laugh like a crazy person.
“you married that freak? god, you’re so pathetic! my love, ditch her and come with me. we can combine our kingdoms and rule the entire world.” she spoke, her eyes clouded with greed.
“burn in hell, you witch.” izana gave her one last glare before leaving the castle, his eyes falling on the band that was wrapped around his left ring finger.
he quickly fished out his phone from his pocket, dialing a number. izana held the device up to his ear, his earring smacking against it as he waited for the receiver to pick up.
“hello? yes, i need you to send fifty guards to securely patrol the castle. i would also like two inside the palace, specifically outside of y/n’s room. do not, and i mean absolutely do not even let y/n leave anyone’s sight even for a second. if any harm comes her way, i’ll have you all beheaded in a matter of seconds.” izana strictly instructed before placing a dangerous threat towards the end, cutting the phone before letting out a shaky breath.
i’m sorry, y/n.

⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
the long dreaded weekend finally arrived, a rainy saturday evening embraced the kingdom. you were sitting at your vanity in a robe, staring at yourself in the mirror as you tried to familiarize yourself with this new sight.
you cut your hair.
well, you didn’t do it, but the decision was impulsive. your once long hair that reached below your ass would always be in a bun or braid. now, it was shoulder-length with subtle wispy bangs to complete it. you smiled at yourself, feeling like the prettiest woman, as you finally had the freedom to do what you wanted.
your mother never let you cut your hair, nagging at you about how men loved women with long and luscious hair. you hated it, absolutely despised it truly. your hair would always get in the way of tasks, tangled and was a nuisance to wash.
not to mention your head felt like there was a boulder on it. but now, you felt lighter and a little dainty, too.
you picked out a lavender colored dress to wear for the dinner, slipping it on as your hands reached for your back to zip it up. you struggled for a few seconds, huffing in frustration as you clicked your tongue.
you opened your door a little, poking your mouth out as you yelled for one of the maid’s to come upstairs. your eyes suddenly fell upon the figure exiting in the far distanced corner, walking towards your room. as izana came closer, you got a good look of his fit.
it was simple, a casual white silk button-up and black slacks. yet, he looked so handsome.
“you ready?” izana calmly asked, approaching your door as you inched back, slightly closing your door more.
“almost, i just need help with something. give me a few minutes and i’ll be out.” you replied, the tension between you both still a little off from the previous events from earlier this week.
“move, i’ll help you.” he suddenly blurted out, catching you by surprise as you didn’t have the time to react when he opened your door, inviting himself in.
“what do you need help with?” izana asked, eyes locking with yours as his hands were shoved in his pockets. for some reason, your words were stuck in your throat, not knowing he suddenly made you feel so nervous.
“my zipper.” you meekly responded, making him hum in response. he placed his hand on the small of your back, pushing you towards the huge mirror on your vanity as you both now stood in front of it, with him behind you.
izana’s finger’s momentarily grazed the soft skin of your back, sending off goosebumps all over your body. your heart began to beat faster, the proximity to him allowing you to get a whiff of his scent, playing games with your mind.
“you cut your hair?” izana asked, but his words came out like a whisper, his warm breath fanning over your ears.
“yeah. why?” you asked, afraid that he’d make some snarky comments about how you look ugly as traditionally, women weren’t allowed to have short hair.
“no reason, it suits you.” he complimented, making your heart jump from the sudden kindness coming from him.
he slowly began to pull the zipper up, a hand on the side of your hips as you tried your best not to think much. you looked forward in the mirror, only to find his lilac eyes staring at you. you both locked eyes, unable to pull away. you could feel his hard chest against your back and it made you shudder.
why did you feel so hot all of a sudden? was he always this attractive? of course, izana’s a king after all, yet; just something about him made your knees weak.
“lord kurokawa! the car is ready for you and your highness.” the butler called out, breaking you both from the weird trance.
izana pulled the zipper all the way to the top, clearing his throat as you quickly mumbled an awkward ‘thank you’ to him before he left. you sat down on the small stool, trying to distract yourself from what just happened a few seconds ago by doing your makeup.
with a few final touches, you headed outside where the car was waiting for you as izana sat in the back next to the empty spot reserved for you. as per usual, the ride was silent as you played with the ribbon tied around the fruit basket in your lap, as you both were taking to your parent’s house as a gift.
as the driver parked the car, you saw your parents standing outside with a wide smile, making you roll your eyes. izana got out of the car, going over to your side as you were startled when your door got pulled open. you stared at izana in shock, watching him offer his hand.
then you remembered that you guys have to put this little act together to show your parents that you both aren’t miserable with each other and are actually in love.
without fighting back, you put your hands in his, which was shockingly warm and very soft. after exiting the car, you felt an arm snake around your waist, as izana pulled you close to his body.
your breath hitched, never being this close to a person before, let alone a man. your knees felt like jelly, yet you tried to keep your facade, so that you and izana don’t get busted.
“my little princess! how- what in god’s name did you do to your hair?!” you mother screeched, eyes widening in horror as she rushed up to you. izana watched with astonishment, seeing your mother pull you away from his hold. she touched your hair, in denial that you could ever do such a thing.
“you stupid, stupid, stupid girl! have you not learned a single thing from me? how could you cut off the part of you that gave you your femininity? you look so hideous!” your mother cried out, making you scoff.
“geez, missed you too, mom.” you walked past her, not sparing izana a glance as you didn’t want to know whether he’d give you a taunting look or a pitiful one.
you didn’t want either.
you walked to the dining space, placing the fruit basket in the middle as you took a seat in front of the usual bland and depressing food at your parent’s house. after eating so well for the past few weeks, you didn’t know if your body could go back to stomaching such awful food.
“mother, all of this looks delicious.” izana smiled, making you snort as you gave him a questioning look. you could see right through him, there was no way he thought that this nasty ass food was good. nonetheless, he took a seat next to you as one of the maid’s began to serve everyone.
“thank you, dear. i know my useless daughter isn’t much of a help, so please, help yourself. it’s my secret recipe too!” your mother boasted, making izana nervously chuckle as he dug in. you looked at him, waiting for his reaction and you could see how he quickly chewed and swallowed it before cringing.
you smirked in amusement, watching him suffer, just like how you had to eat this disgusting food for your entire life.
“so, how are things going between you both?” your father asked, making izana clear his throat before taking a hold of your free hand with his.
“sir, i would cross the seven seas just to spend a second of my life with my beautiful wife. you have truly blessed me with your daughter and for that i thank you.” izana spoke, making your heart clutch in pain as you knew that those were a bunch of white lies that he told your parents.
yet, for some reason, a part of you secretly wished that he meant it.
“what joy! y/n, do you have nothing to say? it’s been ages since we’ve seen you.” your father’s eyes shifted to yours, as you silently picked at the chicken and surrounding vegetables.
“i am simply following your rules, which is having my husband talk for me since i am of course to be treated like a porcelain bimbo doll.” you snarked, making both of your parents sigh out in frustration.
“for goodness’s sake, y/n, can we all please have a nice family dinner?” your mother begged, making you glare at her.
“i literally did nothing, why am i always the one to blame?” you said through gritted teeth, constantly feeling attacked by your parent’s bipolar decisions.
“you’re no longer a child, y/n. you know how this world works and the responsibilities that come with it. ever since you’ve arrived here today, you’ve been nothing but a brat. you have nothing good to say or any future plans such as having kids-”
“woah, woah, are you hearing yourselves? having kids? we’re newly-weds, i barely even know his favorite color and you think we’re ready to bring in a child into this world?” your eyebrows furrowed, now getting visibly mad at your parents as your tone became laced with irritation.
“we’re taking things slowly, nothing wrong with that.” izana tried to calm things down, but his attempt was futile.
“your father and i had you a year after our marriage. you are a woman, y/n, your role in this world is to birth and nurture a child while taking care of your wife duties such as taking care of your husband. why must you always be stubborn and overcomplicate everything?” you mother shook her head in disbelief, giving you a disappointed looked.
“your mother’s right. izana will go to war soon and he won’t be with you for some time. having a child would at least keep you distracted and make time pass faster while he’s gone.” you father added on, their ridiculous words making your eyes twitch as you couldn’t believe your ears.
“so you think i’m some kind of sex machine? that i need a man’s touch and seed to keep me sane while he’s away? do you think i’m that needy and low? god, this is exactly why i don’t want to have a child now. i don’t want to make the same mistake as you both and raise my baby like how you both raised me. actually, i don’t even want you guys anywhere near my future child. you’ll only defile his or her brain with your shitty expectations.” your eyes watered, feeling absolutely humiliated as you dropped your fork on your plate, getting up from your seat as you rushed out of the dining area.
you heard your parents and izana call out your name a few times, but you didn’t care. you needed to be away from them and get some peace, so you went to the garden.
you went to the cherry blossom tree at the very back, now drenched in the rain as your clothes and hair were now sticking to your body.
but you no longer cared, sitting on the grass as you cried with your palms covering your face. you were so uhappy with your life, you hated your parents with a passion and you hated how you were stuck in an unhappy marriage.
you had no one by your side.
it made you wonder, was it even worth it to keep on going? this feeling of loneliness swallowing you was far too painful.
there was no use of running away as your parents would find you no matter what, your father would sent out an army of soldiers all over the world to look for you.
the only real option would just be to end your life, but you didn’t want to give up eveything because of a bunch of assholes.
“i don’t know, please just shut up.” you whispered to yourself, wanting your inner thoughts to just go away and let you cry in peace.
“but i haven’t even said anything.” you heard a familiar voice answer, looking up to see izana standing before you, an umbrella in his hands as he shielded your body with it.
“go away, you’re the last person i’d wanna see.” you scoffed, hugging your knees as your eyes averted to your feet.
“you know, if you didn’t want to come for dinner at your parents you could’ve just told me. i could’ve made up some excuse or something.” izana sighed, bending down to get eye-level with you.
“both you and i know that we can’t avoid my shitty parents forever.” you said in a monotone, making him chuckle as he hummed.
“you’re right, but atleast we could’ve gone when you were ready to face them. this whole marriage things is still very new to process, even for me.” he spoke with honesty, harboring a small comforting smile.
for some reason, it made you furious. how dare he behave so well with you when he’s been nothing but an absolute shitbag back at home?!
you didn’t want to be pitied, especially by someone like him.
“can you leave me alone? i want to feel the rain on me and be sad.” you groaned out in annoyance.
“okay.” izana blurted out, throwing the umbrella to the side which caught you completely off guard. he took a seat next to you, making you roll your eyes.
“you’re seriously annoying, you know that? why are you suddenly being nice, i don’t need your pity or sympathy. i’ve been living like this for like my entire life, i’m not some glass doll who needs protection.” you nagged at him, wanting to hit a nerve of his so that he could get mad and leave.
“i know, and i’m not trying to offer you any of those. your parents are assholes and that’s no lie. i guess what i’m trying to say is that i’ve been living in delusion.” izana’s eyes softened, making your breath hitch as you looked at him through your glossy eyes.
“what?” you croaked out, still in shock.
“i thought that you were the blame as to why i’m stuck in this marriage, because you were like those other princesses that begged their daddy to get them married to a rich prince. i didn’t know how badly your parents treated you, i was just so focused on my anger that i forgot about basic human compassion. i thought that because my parents were so loving and caring before they died, every family would be the same.” guilt was plastered all over his face and it was refreshing to finally have someone understand your misery.
“i mean, in one way this marriage kind of saved me. i’m free from everything. it’s like my escape route, but one where my father won’t have the entire nation’s army search for me. so, i guess it’s not that bad.” you admitted, making him smile.
god, why did he look so good even with his hair wet and face drenched in the pouring rain?
your heart was skipping multiple beats at the same time, worrying you on if you were on the verge of having a stroke.
“izana! y/n! there you both are, we were worried sick.” your parents came rushing to you both, startling you.
“we’re so sorry, izana. y/n, you have spoiled your evening dress along with izana’s suit. dear god, you have so much to learn. you know, i had this meeting with other neighbhoring queens and they’ve put their daughters in these special classes. honey, we could fix this together. please, let me help you.” your mother gave you sickening puppy eyes, making your stomach churn in horror. you were silent, no longer having any words left to say to them.
you looked over at izana, seeing his face darken as his jaw locked. you sensed some kind of dark aura embracing him, getting a little nervous yourself.
“what the fuck? can you please stop treating her like she’s diseased? god, you both are so obsessed with her! she’s perfectly fine the way she is.” izana angrily spoke, the vein on his neck popping out as evidence of his fury. you were shocked at his sudden outburst, not expecting him to fight back against your parents’ words.
“oh dear, izana you’re too blinded by your love. this is not princess behavior, this is freakish, son.” your father tried to fakely empathize with izana. he placed a hand on izana’s shoulder, but izana roughly shook it off, making your parents gasp.
“what’s freakish is how obsessed you both are in making my perfectly fine wife your little doll. she’s no longer your princess, she’s my princess and the future queen of my kingdom when i get crowned in a few months.” he bitterly spat, making your mother scoff.
“you oblivious little child, one day you both will regret not listening to your elders.” your mother shook her head in disbelief.
“yeah, well, i’ll be waiting for that day. till then, please do not ever contact me or my wife.” izana snickered, grabbing your hand before standing up as he pulled you along with him.
before walking off, izana stopped in his tracks, making you stop as well.
now what?
today was full of surprises and you couldn’t help but grow more curious as to what would happen.
“by the way, mother. i would say thank you for the meal, but the dinner was absolutely horrendous. i wouldn’t even feed that to the stray dogs near my castle.” he smirked, as you turned to see the mix of anger and sadness paint your mother’s face.
you couldn’t help but feel joyous inside, your heart feeling at peace knowing that your parents received the medicine that they’ve been deserving for years now.
“wait, but how will we get home?” you asked, looking at izana and he looked at you with a mischievous grin.
“a prince always has a plan.” he answered slyly, as when you both reached the front yard, you saw his car and the butler waiting with an umbrella as he welcomed you both inside the car.
“lord kurokawa and your highness! i will inform the maids to prepare warm baths for you both as soon as possible.” the butler said in a panicked voice, making you smile.
“take it easy, man. i just witnessed the best show of my life.” you let out a chuckle, hearing a soft chortle coming from your side.
“yeah, it was pretty amusing.” izana admitted, making you hum in response.
the rest of the ride was silent, neither of you knowing how to start a conversation with each other. you decided to sleep, knowing it would be a long drive home.
—
you groaned, body aching as you sat up. you realized that you were in your bed and changed into your pajamas. you tried to recall memories of earlier and you remembered that you fell asleep in the car.
then..
how did you end up here?
“the fuck?” you whispered to yourself. did izana carry you to your room? but what about your clothes, he couldn’t possibly change you out of your wet ones while you were asleep.
“your highness?” you heard a knock at your door, giving them your command to enter. two maids entered the room, a tray with porridge and what seemed like medicine on the side.
“what’s that?” you asked, pointing to the tray.
“ginseng porridge and medicine. lord kurokawa has ordered the cook to make some for you and the royal doctor to give medicine to prevent a cold.” she informed you, making you unknowingly smile.
“i see. oh, can you please tell me who brought me to my room?” you asked, trying to hide your embarrassment.
“lord kurokawa carried you to your room and requested us to change you out of your soiled dress.” she said with dreamy eyes, making you blush for even thinking about izana changing you.
“anyways, you may give me the medicine and take the porridge down. i don’t like eating porridge.” you cleared your throat, opening your palm as you waited for the pill.
it wasn’t a lie, you hated porridge. you always flushed down the bowl of porridge your mother would bring up to your room, lying to her when she came back to your room to check up on you.
“but, your majesty, this medicine has to be taken with food.” the maid meekly responded, making you groan in annoyance.
“fine, i’ll just go downstairs and have yesterday’s left over.” you threw off the covers, the cold air hitting your exposed arms and legs due to the silk gown you were wearing.
nonetheless, you were starving and headed down stairs.
the hallway was quiet, the lights downstairs were turned off, indicating that everyone has went to sleep.
you reached the bottom of the stairs, walking towards the kitchen as you tried to tiptoe.
“what do we have here?” a groggy voice behind you startled you as you screamed, immediately lunging at the person behind you in defense. the person wasn’t expecting the sudden attack, falling on their back with a thud as you fell on top of them.
you raised your fist to land a punch but the person beneath you tightly entangled their arms around you to prevent you from doing any harm.
red alarms went off in your mind, tears welling in your eyes as you were now genuinely scared for your life. being caged in your parents’ castle had the only benefit of preventing you from any crazy harm, now you were fearful if they made any weird ties with shady people to make your life hellish.
what if this time they wanted to get rid of you, for good?
“let me go! iza-”
you stopped midway when the familiar smell of light vanilla came to your senses. your heartbeat began to relax, making you let out a sigh of relief as you allowed yourself to melt into his embrace.
“it’s you. thank god, it’s you.” you mumbled into the fabric of his shirt, hugging onto him tighter. you don’t know why, but you can’t decide whether you hate or like izana. all you know is that you didn’t want to let him go right now.
“who else would it be other than you and me, princess?” izana’s voice was raspy and slightly cracked, as he comfortingly rubbed your back to help you calm down.
you soon realized what was going on and quickly pulled away, standing up to your feet as you rushed over to turn on the lights. you cleared your throat, wishing you left the lights off as you knew your cheeks were bright red right now since you could physically feel them burning.
“um, sorry about that. i was just a little paranoid and your voice didn’t sound like how it normally does.” you cleared your throat, avoiding eye contact with him.
“it’s fine, i just came down for a glass of water and saw you lurking. oh, and for my voice, i have a sore throat. i sent your medicine to prevent it from affecting you, although maybe now i may have given it to you i think.” he giggled, making you smile.
“yeah, i saw. i didn’t take it yet, i’m trying to look for some food.” you answered him, making him furrow his eyebrows.
“did the maids not deliver you the porridge?” he asked.
“no, they did. i just don’t like porridge, it makes me gag.” you reasoned, scrunching your nose as he rolled his eyes.
“that’s because you’ve been eating your mother’s shitty food for all your life so you’ve never had good porridge. this is my family’s recipe, i guarantee that you’ll like it.” izana swears, grabbing your hand before dragging you to the dining space. he walked into the kitchen and plated you another bowl of porridge and heated it up.
“just take a bite, if you don’t like it i won’t force you to eat it.” he assured, making you sigh as you obliged with his request.
you scooped up some of the porridge, making sure to get a little bit of everything in it. the porridge wasn’t bland like your mother’s, it had a lot of veggies along with chicken and what seemed like pickled vegetables as well?
you placed the bite in your mouth, tasting the food. the warm food going down your throat brought you some comfort, the taste of the different seasonings including the pickled vegetables brought your tastebuds back to life.
you quietly inhaled the food, sensing the prideful aura radiating off of izana.
“it’s good, isn’t it?” izana taunted, making you clear your throat.
“it’s alright.” you said with a mouthful of the porridge, struggling to speak as he chuckled from your stubbornness.
silence fell upon you both once again, running out of things to talk about as you ate. izana was trying to distract himself from constantly looking at you by reading his official papers.
“finally some good fucking food.” you breathed out as you dropped your spoon in the bowl, accidentally letting out a burp as you quickly excused yourself.
“for a princess that’s be imprisoned with obsessive royal parents, you’re so brash.” he snickered, making you scoff.
“huh?! the hell’s that supposed to mean, jerk.” you mumbled under your breath, annoyed by his words.
“i don’t know, you’re just.. weird.” izana laughed, making you roll your eyes.
“and what about you? i don’t think you can even take a shit by yourself without the help of your butlers.” you retorted an insulted back at him, making his eyes widen.
“you little shit.” izana narrowed his eyes, making you grin.
“grow up, bitch.” you remarked, knowing that you won this conversation. you got up with your bowl, heading to the kitchen to wash it. it started to rain once again, the soft pitter-pattering noice radiating throughout the hollow castle, bring a sense of peace to you.
you walked back to your chair, the shuffling sounds of your slipper against the tiled floor caught izana’s attention. he helped you with taking out the pills, handing it to you along with the glass of water as you drank it.
“do you like living in royalty?” izana suddenly blurted out, catching you by surprise.
“of course not, every noble that exists on this planet are nothing but slaves to the cycle of money and power. i am most certainly not one of those dogs.” you scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest.
“you have a point, but you must admit, we royals live in much better conditions than commoners. we have people to serve us, protection, great housing and food. i mean, it’s a commoners dream to live like us, isn’t it?” izana tried to defend, placing his face on the palm of his hand, now interested to listen to your rebuttal.
“the devil never makes a deal with a desperate soul if it doesn’t sound appealing. these commoners are completely oblivious about our lives, the abuse and creulty that it comes with. i’d rather live in a old, worn-out cottage with bread and soup as my meal than live this shitty life.” you angrily spat out, wishing that things could’ve been different.
you weren’t upset with izana’s words, but rather with the fact that every other noble thought the same way as him. which wasn’t a surprise or anything, royal children were brainwashed to believe in this crap.
“convince me.” he egged further, making you scoff.
“tell me, did you ever get to feel the rush of the town’s river beneath your feet? the sun kissing your skin as you sit a feild of flower, having a small picnic consisting of bread, butter and fresh jam? or how about watching the stars in the great night sky on a hill?” you questioned him, making izana go silent as he never had an answer to give you. his silence answered your questions, as you gave him a sad smile.
“me neither, and it’s all because while living in such fame and wealth, we forget to enjoy and cherish the creation of god. we forget to appreciate mother nature’s beauty and the gift of life.” you sighed, putting your head down as you counted the number of drops you heard.
“wow i… i’ve never thought about it like that.” izana breathed out, eyes widened from shock as you just opened a whole new perspective of life to him.
“yeah, well, being imprisoned for your whole life makes you think a lot. i’d kill to be a commoner, dance in the streets during festivals with the small children, eat street food, and just live in peace. i want to have flowers in my hair, dance with the stars and sing with the moon.” you dreamily said, similing to yourself at the romanticization of life.
“is it that fun?” izana hesitantly asked, intrigued by your passionate argument.
“like a dream that i never want to wake up from.” you giggled like a child, delirious with sleep as you knew these medications would make you drowsy.
“hmm, i suppose you’ll have to take me to one to make me convinced.” he playfully said, making you hum in agreement.
“i will, but what’ll i get if i win?” you mumbled into your arms, trying to keep yourself awake to hear his response.
“whatever that is that you desire, i will service you. but if i win, you must submit to me like we were taught as royals.” izana challenged, making you smirk against your skin as you gave him a thumbs up.
“you’re on, prince jackass.”

Imagine Revali watching the Barbie Movie
After watching the Barbie Movie myself, I got curious if Revali would be willing to go to the movie.... it's been like 3 weeks since I watched the movie but school's been awful with homework and team assingments. Finally found the motivation to finish this :)
Enjoy^^
This was the pinkiest photo I found of Revali *.*
"Hey Revali! Lets go watch the Barbie movie"
"Is this a serios suggestion? You think that a champion as great as I would even consider watching such... such tripe?" His in denial at first.
You try gaslighting him with "All the other champions are gonna watch it, even Link and Princess Zelda"
"Don't be absurd. I'm not going to be wasting my time with a girl's movie"
"Excuse ME?!? The Barbie Movie is an cinematic masterpiece fyi, everyone honors it by wearing pink clothes to the theater, it's way superior than all your mocking nonsense" your confidence on to cuz NO ONE has the right to insult the Barbie Movie.
"Very well, if you wish. But know my reputation and dignity wil be tarnished in the process, because it's nothing more than a silly, feminine diversion. Nothing of importance"
'THIS LITTEL BI-...' you save the thought.
"I have you know that even the king of Hyrule, King Rhoam loved the Barbie movie, that man has good taste. PERIODT.
Revali sights in defeat, tired of your whims "Whatever, let's just watch this"
"YAS! That's the spirit! Now... we need to change into something pink and I just have the perfect outfit for myself!"
Revali rolls his eyes "Ugh! Changing clothes... You can't be serious?
You slowly reveal a pink scarf that has been hiding in your back.
A big mischievous smile on your face.
"No, absolutely NOT!" Revali stutters at seeing the scarf.
"Yes, absolutely YES!"
"I refuse the scarf! There's no way in hell I'm wearing-"
You both are in the theater buying your movie tickets with Revali wearing his pink scarf.
"I- this is ridiculous!" Looks around, sees everyone's wearing pink clothes.
"Why did I let you drag me into this?!"
"Cuz I'm ur cool friend who keeps you updated with the latest trends and besides, you had all the right to refuse it yet here you are~" cheeky smiles at him.
"Because you were persistent..." he mutters under his breath.
"Hmm yeah, whatever. Lets go to the movie!!"
"Alright, fine" he groans and walk's after her to the theater, "So... this movie is about Barbie? A doll?" he asks.
"Exactly! A live-action movie about the doll"
"...And let me guess. Barbie has a lot of adventures?
"She is EVERYTHING you could ever dreamt of being; she's an astronaut, a doctor, a firefighter, a lawyer, she graduated from every possible career" they enter to the movie theater.
"Wait... she graduated from being..what?-"
"Look! Everyone's in pink clothing! How cool is that!?"
"Why did I agree to this?" he mutters to himself.
They sit of their assigned seats.
"You're not seriously going to... enjoy this?" Revali asks.
"I'm gonna enjoy this with. every. single. cell. in my body-" interrupting your menancing speak, you turn to the source who called you out.
It was Urbosa!!! With Link and Zelda seating besides her.
"Gurl! What are you doing here?! Zelda and Link! Hii guys!" you happily greet and wave at them.
"Wait...why are they here too?"
The guy in the fronts seats recognizes your voice and turns around to greet you, it was Daruk!
"Ayo Daruk! You're also here?! Gosh this is epic" High-fives Daruk.
You feel a gentle hand poking your head, turning you head, Mipha and Sidon were also here!! Seating behind us.
"GUYS!! All the homies are in the house! Let's freaking GOOO!"
Revali is genuinely puzzled at this point "What in the... Why is everyone here?"
All the champions congratulate you for convincing Revali to come watch Barbie "I told you all I could easily managed it! Piece of cake" you brag.
Revali sighs in resignations "This is a nightmare"
"This gotta be the best day of my life!" you rejoice.
"I'm gonna to die of embarrasment. What will everyone think of me now that I've been seen in pink and attending some ridiculous girlie movie that's supposed to be entertaining?! Oh Goddess...
Raising your eyebrow and asks shamelessly to the champions, "Do you guys think Revali's ridiculous for wearing pink and coming to the Barbie movie?"
"Don't you DARE-"
Revali's threat was cutoff by the champions replies.
Urbosa feels glad Revali's here, she thinks his mind need a break from all his intense training and champion's duties. Daruk comments he's glad Revali is trying new stuff out of training stuff. Everyone agrees with both champion's statements.
"Told ya"
Revali is too stunned to say anything, he still can't believe this situation you dragged him into..... or that he's wearing pink.
"You're a little to hard on yourself, just relax" Offers him popcorn.
Taking the popcorn, still shocked and embarrassed, he quietly looks down, a low "...thank you" comes out of his peak.
"It's nothing. Oh! The movie's about to start!"
The movie starts and he's secretly watching it.
After 20 minutes into the movie he slowly starts enjoying it, even admiting to himsef it's quite comical.
He gives up and finally admits he IS enjoying the movie.
Thinks about the Mojo Dojo Casa House a lot.
Eventually chuckles at the funny scenes, keeps it lowkey.
Once the movie is over, you DEFINETELY tease him about how he actually liked the movie.
Even thought he tried to be annoyed, he can't hide the fact he liked it.
And for the cherry on top, you both went to have dinner in a spicy fried chicken restaurant and had a competition of how could it the chicken the fastest....
And of course Revali won, has an advantage considering his peak.

OMG! GUUUYYYSSS!!1 CHECK THIS OUT1!!"!!!!!
Someone made a Imagine with the Revali scenario I wrote a few days ago, AND I'M SO HAPPY SOMEONE GOT INSPIRED BY IT TO MAKE A IMAGINE! I'M SO HAPPY RN I- <3 <3 <3 <3
Accustomed To You (Revali x Reader)
Based on this idea by @dorayakimanjiro where Revali uses the string of his Great Eagle bow to make you an engagement ring. Thanks for such a delightful and beautiful idea! Reader is gender neutral. ☺ The customs of the Rito were unorthodox in some ways due to their flighted anatomy and avian instincts - and in some ways they were shared amongst other every race present in Hyrule. Love, and being in love, was no strange concept to Revali. Though most were sure the too proud Rito would ever find companionship that suited his tastes, you proved them all wrong. In your eyes was a kindness he’d never experienced from anyone, a depth of selflessness and joy that was infectious. It made him soft - the unbreakable Revali becoming pliant from your genteel gestures and willing companionship. Even surprising him when you took up his bow on your own accord to nail a Bokoblin that had intended to get the jump on him (a mistake on his part, as he was so peacefully distracted by your humming while you both were enjoying the spring breeze). It was then that Revali knew he could not simply see you as just a friend or a traveling partner. No, you’d earned his respect entirely - and even moreso, his heart. So here he was, engaging in a tradition that all peoples of Hyrule were familiar with: intention of courtship. It took him a few weeks to be able to whittle the circular thing to the size of your ring finger. It was made from the finest wood Rito Village had to offer - where he would carve the tiniest intricate holes and patterns that represented him. He polished and shined it to the point of gleaming in the light of the sun; it was almost perfect. Almost. With careful precision, Revali unfurled the string of his Great Eagle bow - worn with heroic use - a string you’d more times than you could count; a string that that was basically an extension of himself and all that encompassed. He threaded the bow string through the small holes of your ring, weaving it through in a herringbone pattern until it was complete and knotted at the end. A proud feat for the Rito, whose labor could be classified as nothing less than eternal devotion. Each moment spent sculpting, polishing, and weaving until it was the perfect piece was spent with you at the forefront of his mind. Your laughter, your warmth, your love…all things Revali decided long ago he wanted at his side for eternity. His tailfeathers chuffed at the brilliance of your ring. Now it was perfect. — “Revali, it’s marvelous!” you say with a waver in your voice, your bright eyes brimming with tears as you scanned the woven ring. His chuckle was light, “I made it…for you.” In his feathered fingers he took your hand, slipping the ring onto your finger. His voice softened, emerald hues holding your gaze with all the love he could muster, “For as long as I’ve known you, you have always felt familiar to me…One day I realized, being with you feels like the sun on my wings when I fly,” he looks down at your hand, heart full at how right it feels to see his ring on your finger, “And just like that warmth, I will always cherish you. Marry me, chickadee…” His nickname for you. A passing tease from many many months ago now turned an affectionate endearment, nurtured by the love you two both shared. Without thought, you threw your arms around him, joyful tears falling freely now. Your heart threatened to spill over from how overfilled with adoration it was. A quick pullback from his returned embrace allowed you connect your eyes once more, “Yes! Oh Revali, I would love nothing more!” and your pressed a loving kiss to his beak. He held you closer now, his tailfeathers puffing up from happiness. Eternity with you made his skies feel so much warmer.
