Tales Of Houndstone High!: Cover Page

A Pokémon fancomic heavily inspired by the manga Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun with a little bit of Pokemon: Legends Arceus.

This is a world where very few know ghosts actually exist, and the snow-white vulpix Koyuki happened to be one of the lucky few seemingly since birth. Koyuki is only interested in putting the paranormal aside and just live an average teenage life until she meets a strange ghostly Zoroark that she develops a sudden odd bond with.

I never had friends when I was a little cub. My mom passed away when I was born….so I was told at least…so all I’ve known were foster homes with mean kids. They would point out everything about me and steal my things. I got really good at making hiding places for myself to get away from them. I guess that’s when I discovered my unusual gift. I learned I could see and hear ghosts, and no mon else seemed to be able to. I met a scared sobbing Gastly on the roof of my foster home one fateful night. They said they got separated from their mama, and the last thing they remember was waking up under a high bridge with a terrible headache.

I would sneak out to the roof every night to check on them. I asked them to come inside where it was warm and stay with us, but they told me they couldn’t even leave the roof for some reason. My foster mother Misty caught me trying to climb out the window one night, and got scared. She moved me into her room to keep a good eye on me, and I couldn’t visit the Gastly anymore. I finally climbed back up on the roof one last time, planning to run away the next day. I guess Gastly managed to free themself and move on.

I hope they’re happy now…

I wanted to drift away from TBHK and not ride on the tag just cuz Tales Of Houndstone High! is inspired by it but the ending song of season 1 still has my whole heart 🥺

Sirius Nightfall

A ghostly boy shackled and enslaved deep inside an abandoned well where his village once stood. After transforming into his gigantic Zoroark form in blinding rage, he was cursed and sealed away, a prisoner not only in the well, but also in his own body. When he was finally freed, he returned to a Zorua form, and feels more free that way.

Tales Of Houndstone High! Character line up

Sumire Haruki - an easily lovestruck Eevee girl who just wants a bad boy to sweep her off her feet. She may come of as a bit clueless and lovesick for any good-looking guy at first, but she’s known for her attitude and telling of anyone that talks bad behind her friends’ back.

Koyuki Matsuyama - a snow-white Vulpix girl that has befriended many ghosts and spirits, but was bullied out of her foster home because of it. Despite her outer cold appearance, she’s quite a ray of sunshine, with a contrasting warm personality. You’d think she should’ve been born a fire type!

Pochi - a scruffy Maschiff boy never seen without his giant dusty red storybook. He has a deep fascination with ghosts and the paranormal, but is often brushed off as being either creepy or childish because of it. He started the Tales Of Houndstone High! radio show to share the spooky history of Houndstone Woods to those who finally listen.

She joined their high school in hopes of living a new normal life until she’s asked to host a radio show telling the curious spooky tales surrounding the school and town. This leads her on a path of paranormal discovery!
