{🍀} Clover was doing her best to get by on her own, but she still wasn’t doing that great. Being here, on this stupid mountain of all places, was really getting to her- she just couldn’t get comfortable. Not in the slightest.

She’d been taken aback when she came across someone, ready for him to get up and attack- but no, he seemed peaceful. A voice whispered that it could easily be a trap, but he did have that fire… and man did it look nice right about now. “I, um, yeah. I got stuck out here…again…”

“I see...” They were both in the predicament. Why were the scientists testing them like this? Layton had no clue. He was hoping there’d be some motive for this test. Either way...

“Well It’s going to be getting late. Would you care to join me? I’d hate to see a young girl like yourself struggling in the wilderness without some sort of campsite.”

The professor had been in the middle of making a campfire using some of the wood of the already low amount of trees in the area. He had already made a makeshift tent and is beginning to prepare for tonight’s sleep. Professor Layton hoped that the campfire would deter the cold away. It was quite a mess. Hershal had just been brought back to the city, yet he was technically kicked out to the outer districts.

“Hm?” He heard footsteps. Turning towards the sound, a young girl appeared in his sights “Ah. Were you sent here like me?” The man asked the other, curious of the other’s origin.

✯ Maya undid the embrace and looked at the man before her. Yup, still as gentlemanly as ever. That aesthetic of his will still last for a long time!

✯ “Um, actually it’s more complicated than that, but we can leave that technical chit chat for later. You’ve just arrived at the city, no?” It was easy figuring it out, thanks to the bags the man was carrying on his arms. “I can help you get into your designed place! Where’s it, by the way?”

“More complicated than that?” He questioned a bit before interrupting his own thoughts.  Had something happened while he was gone? This city was mysterious as always.

“Very well. It would be quite rude to the others if we have a long conversation in the middle of pedestrian traffic. I’m in G-4 this time around.”

✯ I’m sorry to say, Hershel, but that has been a long time ago. Right, there’s nobody else from your universe in the area, just you and your fancy hat. Although, I guess that you can expand the definition of what your ‘universe’ is…

✯ “…Professor Layton? Is that you?” Upon spotting the familiar figure, Maya proceeds to tackle him with a heartfelt hug. “Oh my gosh, it’s been so long! You look just the same, how incredible!” Incredible indeed, for he didn’t seem to have aged like Maya did. Could he be from the past…?

“Hm?” While trying to gather information about the time he’d been gone he heard a familiar voice. “Miss Fey?” He answerd before being tackled into a hug. A smile showed on his face. “Someone’s excited. You look quite older. I assume the city has progressed far while I’ve been gone? How have you been?”

(The professor will be staying in Sia during the event. While he does not have any powers, he has a quick wit and can adapt quickly to situations.

“Are you having trouble Miss?” The expression on the young lady’s face was mixed with irritation and confusion. It would be unlike the professor to not offer assistance.

“If you need assistance with the crossword puzzle I could provide some, but I feel the biggest feeling is figuring it out.” It was also unlike the professor to just give the answers to a puzzle.

Scoping out the locals (if you could call anyone dropped into this city that) was easier when one didn’t appear to be doing so. So Rika attempted to look busy by working out a crossword puzzle. Her initial plan was to just look like she was trying to solve it, but…

Damn it, she was so close!

“Okay, a seven letter word for disappointment and the last letter is an N… Augh, this is impossible.”

“Well.. This place is quite a familiar sight.” He’s been here before. Yes, he was dragged to this city once before. Surely he would prefer to be in London but that wasn’t in his schedule.

If he remembered right, Luke and Emma were in this town. The professor felt it was best to rendezvous with them. “Excuse me, have you seen a boy in a blue cap?” He asked to the nearest stranger.

((Well I’m sorry to say but I might be dropping Layton from Citta. I thought I would get the muse overtime but I end up forgetting I had this muse in the first place. So I think if someone else wants to be Layton more then go ahead and start making an app or something.))

“I can say the same about you. Last I heard of you, you were traveling around searching for a big scoop for the World Times? Is it the same now? Or were you perhaps taken by the scientists as well?” Then again... The Emmy he’s seeing right now was the old look after the events at the Azran Sanctuary. Was it possible that Emmy, like Clive, was from a past event? Thinking about the possibilty got the professor a bit deep in thought. 

“Hm.. I wonder what the scientists’ motive for all this are. There must be a reason for bringing us to a common time and place.”

She doesn’t know what to think.

Before she had left London behind, Emmy had promised the Professor that she’d be back, someday. But then she found herself stuck in Hive City, and it seemed like that oath would go unfulfilled.

The reason why she left is still fresh in her mind. She had made so many mistakes, put so many people in danger- especially the ones she cared about most. She’s a traitor. And yet Layton was still happy to see her…?

“Professor? I can’t believe it! I never thought you’d be here, too!”

“W-What..” This was quite shocking for the Professor, especially to see all the destruction in mere seconds. One person seemed to be hit by a falling piece of debris. “Are you okay?” It didn’t look to be too big, yet It would be rude not to make sure the other was okay

“Feenie?” That was a name he was unfamiliar with. “Are you talking about Mister Wright? I’m afraid he didn’t mentioned a red haired girl during our travels.”

“I suppose we can leave it at that.” The professor was a little disappointed. He was quite curious on how spirit channeling worked. Of course that disappointed feeling quickly vanished with the mentioned of puzzles.

“Come now Maya, You can’t honestly expect me to deny such a request from a lady such as yourself. I would definitely love to have a puzzle.”

✯ “The details would demand a pretty winded, boring explanation, so let’s leave that as it is for now.” Maya remembers clearly how she’s slept frequently in the middle of her acolyte lessons on the topic. Even if Layton has a better attention spam than her, she doesn’t want to impose such a thing at the poor man.

✯ “Uhum, uhum! Speaking of that, why don’t I give you a puzzle for you to try, Mr. Layton? It’s only fair I get to be at the puzzle giving position once, right? Of course, that’s just if you want to.” Maya, that’s like asking if a monkey wants bananas.
