Caryl:

They are highly problematic, toxic and unhealthy 

They have way too much past emotional baggage

They have zero romantic chemistry

They are like brother and sister or even more so, mother and son

Carol is too old for Daryl (that sounds ageist as fuck but I really don’t give a damn)

Daryl and Carol are both depressed people; them being together as a couple would be even more depressing 

Carol can’t have Daryl’s children (she’s too old and menopausal)

Carol manipulates Daryl

Carol lies to Daryl constantly

Daryl doesn’t trust Carol completely (that’s why he was babysitting her in 10x06)

There’s a huge lack of trust between Daryl and Carol, especially this season

Carol uses Daryl and doesn’t care about his feelings

Carol infantilizes Daryl and constantly treats him like a child

Carol isn’t romantically interested in Daryl (that ship sunk long ago, time to accept it!)

Carol has been in multiple other relationships/romances that are not with Daryl

Daryl has never shown sexual or romantic attraction to Carol (aside from some senseless jokes)

Romances shouldn’t take 10 FUCKING SEASONS to form

Carol is married/has been married to someone else for years (Ezekiel)

Caryl fans are a bunch of delusional and crazy people who can’t accept reality and see their ship for what it is (non-existent)

Donnie:

They are a healthy, nurturing and beneficial relationship for both Daryl and Connie

They are refreshing without any past emotional baggage

They have excellent romantic chemistry

They have sexual tension

They have THE BEST romantic on-screen chemistry out of all the TWD couples, romances and pairings

They are naturally and highly compatible 

They have excellent communication and understanding between them

They are a badass duo and would be a power couple

Daryl and Connie are the perfect combination of Brains (Connie) and Brawn (Daryl)

They have a natural and genuine connection/bond that is unique

They look damn good together

They are god damn adorable together

They are the absolute embodiment of true love/what true love should be

Interracial relationship – Daryl being with Connie, who is African-American, would be visible progress for his character considering that he was mildly racist against POC back in season 1

To add onto the previous point, Daryl being romantically involved/ending up with an African-American/Black girl (Connie) would be poetic justice for his character development because Daryl comes from a redneck racist and prejudiced background and upbringing (his brother Merle was a blatant racist and his father William was also a racist as well)

They have an interesting and unique dynamic that is unlike any pairing or dynamic in TWD history

Their relationship is nurturing, giving and selfless

Daryl is learning a new language (ASL) just for Connie because he wants to be able to communicate with her at all times

Dog loves Connie 

Lydia likes Connie (because she stood up for her to Daryl)

They genuinely care about each other’s well being and feelings

They have mutual respect for each other

Daryl is attracted to and fascinated by Connie and everything she stands for

Daryl looks at her like she is the most beautiful creature in the world

Connie is so obviously in love with him but hasn’t admitted it to herself yet

They have a lot in common with each other

They are each other’s other half (they would complete each other)

Connie’s happiness matters strongly to Daryl

Connie accepts Daryl for who he is

Connie can have Daryl’s future children (she’s still young enough without being too young)

Connie and Daryl are open and honest with each other

Daryl trusts Connie and Connie trusts Daryl

They are equals, despite Connie having a disability

Daryl treats Connie like an equal even though she is deaf/has a disability 

Connie brings out the best in Daryl

Connie makes brooding, serious Daryl happy/smile more often

Carol SHIPS Donnie and thinks they belong together

In my opinion, Daryl is in love with Connie, but he is not yet ready to face his feelings for her, he was always alone, this is something new for him.

I think he's afraid of falling in love for fear of losing her later.
