Your smile is still my favorite thing on earth. It warms my heart and makes it smile too. :)

But see, here’s the problem with it, his smile is heavier than my heart. I’ve become more aware of how his hands fold in tight embraces, how he hides those scars between bright Christmas sweaters, as if it’s ok, as if he isn’t creating lyrics to his eyes just to hide the dark rooms filing in his blood. I don’t deserve him, he can stitch sunsets into blankets, blindfolded, move waterfalls to align the stars yet still remember to call me every night to speak love notes in his voice. I’ll keep holding him in my arms anyways, the least I can do is love his hurt like stars listening to the rhythm the universe sings so their dynamic of beauty doesn’t shift like layers.
