However, if your F/O is more introverted, PDA might not be a big thing, but you know that once a bad word about you escapes someone's mouth, they're dead (either metaphorically or literally 🤭)

Plus sized/fat self shippers, if your f/o has been fatphobic in-canon, I am so sorry. I genuinely know how much it hurts, even when you try to ignore it, even if chubby reader fanfics/imagines exists.

Imagine what your f/o would do if they knew you heard them. They would feel so sick. So completely disgusted with themselves for saying something like that, especially where you could hear it. They know it doesn't excuse their behavior, though.

Seeing the pain in your eyes and feeling immense heartbreak when you look at them, wounded. They instantly realize what they did. The consequences of what they said. It doesn't matter if they were talking about someone else; because their words hurt you. You, the one that they care about the most.

When you run away, they fall to their knees, feeling nothing but dread, regret, and hopelessness. How could they do that to you? How could they hurt you, like that? You think they hate you. You think they're disgusted by you. It couldn't be further from the truth, but obviously that's how it must have felt for you.

Despite knowing they were probably the last person you want to see, they come after you anyway. When they find you, they sit with you until you calm down enough to listen to their words.

They apologize for what they said. They know it wasn't okay to say that; or at least, they know that, now. They acknowledge that they hurt you, and assure you they never meant to. They reiterate that it doesn't excuse their actions, so they'll do everything in their power to better themselves. For your sake.

They want you to tell them everything. Everything you felt. Everything you thought. They want you to tell them what you need. What you need from them.

After talking about it, your f/o assures you that they love you with all their heart. Their world crashed when they saw your reaction, and they'll make sure it won't happen again. (Not from them, not from anyone else, either.)

They love everything about you just as you are, and you don't need to change anything to be worthy of their love.

Now, if they sleep in the doghouse tonight or not... well, that's entirely up to you. ;)
