Howdy folks, the Senate will be considering the first ever resolution blocking arms to Israel. This is huge and historic; it would block government contracting and about $20 billion in arms and support. This is an uphill battle, PLEASE urge your senators to support S.J.Res114-115. This is maybe the most important piece of legislation relating to Palestine that we have ever gotten and we must seize this opportunity.
This doc has information on the resolutions and their process, as well as sample messages and a phone script you can use. Please, use this moment to hear witness for your neighbors.

when it’s really bad again and it’s still way better than it used to be but it’s still really bad. and you do all the right stuff and you try and try and it still really hurts but it’s working but it still hurts and you go see the beautiful majesty of nature and your soul is so close to being at peace but your mind is still in pain. and it’s better but it’s still bad. and the sun is setting.

(copied from @dxckiii on Twitter) this could literally change everything.
They have begun a recount process. WAKE UP YOUR NEVADA FRIENDS AND MAKE SURE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM CHECK iwillvote.com to make sure their ballot was counted. if it says it was denied, they need to call immediately.
Don't scroll past this. If there's any chance someone from Nevada is following you, they need to see it. Get this as far as possible. Be loud. I know it's easy to feel hopeless right now; god knows I was crying my eyes out for a good chunk of last night, but if there's even a shred of action we can take, we can't let it slip by.
If you know anyone in Nevada, please share this with them. Reblog it. Spread it far and wide, ASAP.

So some people in PA got an email TODAY saying that their vote might not have been counted. If that's true, then they actually fucking cheated.
Link here, though Musk will probably try to delete it, so here's the images directly:

And you know what? If there are nazi sympathizers or terfs or maga cult or any other braindead hate shit following me, I WANT you to keep following. There’s no algorithm here—it’s not an engineered echo chambers. I want you to hear me stand against you and I want you to hear me condemn you and I want you to be faced with reason if you’re gonna try to get anything else out of what I put on the internet
I want you to be unable to escape the random reminders that you are actively choosing harm for stupid bullshit reasons, and I want you to have to reconcile that shit in your daily life and I want it to be abrasive
This is a safe space for the people who need it, but this is a hostile environment for those who would cause or permit harm. Drown in it

Ok I’ve taken all day to simmer and here’s what I want to say
The whole argument that “the dems pushed people away” is valid to an extent, it really is, but like…we’ve known FOR 8 YEARS that trump was racist, a rapist, fully incompetent, and dangerous in his ability to rally fuckwits. We’ve KNOWN this. And if their outrage for a slow trickle towards change overshadows their outrage at his charges, at roe v wade, at his flirtations with dictators around the world…then yeah, this was obviously going to be the fucking outcome. There were only two, and if not the one, then it was going to be this one
And I get the anger at the dems! I do! But fuck, change through proper channels takes a long time and requires constant fights with ppl who either don’t agree or don’t care, but the whole reason you go through those channels is to protect people! It’s hard to codify shit into hard laws when people literally hate minorities, but it’s so so easy to just sweep them away if you stack the deck right with people who don’t give a shit
It’s like people forgot that the election isn’t like any other boycott where once it’s done, you just go about your day as usual—we’ve KNOWN the goals of the conservative right and saw that they are very serious about breaking rules to make them happen, if not breaking the whole thing altogether. We have a goddamn manifesto written out in Project 2025 that lists all of the ways they want to undermine anyone that’s not straight, white, Christian, able-bodied, etc
And like, if that’s not enough to outrage people into fighting against them, then I don’t know what is. They climbed the moral high ground, for what? Who is better off from this? It sure as fuck won’t be the Palestinians—trumps all buddy-buddy with netanyahu and has a mass anti-immigration platform, so like, what was the fucking goal there??
I’m mad, like I’m nervous and devastated but honestly rn I’m mostly just So Mad at people who will try to claim they’ve always been fighting in our corner and then just stood by passively and let this happen. I’ve always known this country is full of bigots and other people who just don’t care what the bigots do if it means lower gas prices, but it’s starting to really sting that we can’t count on people who are supposed to care

So there's something I want to say re: intentionally withholding your vote, and I want to do it without coming across as condescending or dismissive.
I've worked as a field organizer in two campaigns, 2010 and 2012, and my job was to help turnout the vote for Democratic candidates up and down the ticket. Technology may have changed, but people are still knocking on doors for specific voters the way they were 12 years ago.
If you say you're not voting/voting 3rd party, the campaign volunteer is supposed to mark that and move on. Their job, in the final month of the election, is to make sure the campaign's supporters have all the information and resources they need to cast a vote.
They aren't collecting data on why you're withholding your vote. They aren't submitting opinion polling results to the campaign. Something like 155 million people voted in the 2020 election, and if you say you're not voting, the campaign is not going to waste a volunteer's time and morale begging you to vote when there are literally millions of other voters to turn out.
Let me repeat that: The campaign does not track why you're not voting. They simply note your vote is not a priority for turnout and move on.
I say this because I see a lot of promotion of non-voting like that's a boycott, when the function is not the same. A boycott is a coordinated mass refusal to engage with an institution—which sounds similar if you see a vote as a good or service to withhold. Unfortunately, it's not.
A vote is a choice you're making as part of a community hiring committee. Your abstention doesn't prevent someone from being hired. It just lowers the threshold for the worst candidate to succeed.
All this to say: In my direct experience as an organizer, abstaining from the vote sends a message. That message is not "You need to try harder to win my vote." It's "Don't waste time on me."
#yeah exactly#also re the whole not sounding dismissive thing….like the whole stance on not voting is basically to be dismissed#you’re not participating and you’re not really engaging in a meaningful way so the natural outcome is ppl will be dismissive on ur stance#esp if you make it clear that your mind is not gonna be changed…like what#are you gonna def EXTRA not vote? it’s a waste of time to talk to that person and its not gonna count towards anything#they’re not losing money by losing your vote so it doesn’t have the incentive of a boycott#it’s just…basically making yourself ignorable#if that makes you mad then I don’t think you really realize how all this works#politics#vote

UH HEY GUYS! MY TABLET PEN JUST BROKE IN THE MIDDLE OF WORKING ON COMMISSIONS!
And I have a very old model so I can't just buy a new pen, so I have to get a whole new tablet!
So I'll be posting some more minis to my etsy, and preorders for my mousepads still help a lot.
I also have PWYW options on my ko-fi ranging from free coloring pages to dice, if you're interested in contributing that way.
Anyway, gotta go scream now.

"Elon Musk is literally bribing voters in swing states. Isn't that illegal!?"
If this thought has crossed your mind, then I'm sorry. I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you this.
But it will be the election this November that decides if it's illegal or not.
This year, we are at the breaking point in the intersection of law and politics where whether or not the President's team can outright commit crimes to consolidate his power and destroy his enemies is on the ballot and up for vote.
