2. Explain how you composed your message (purpose) in multiple forms.
We used pictures, facts, and testimonials to get our message across. Furthermore, we used transitions and effects to make the information more appealing to the viewers.
I used text to answer the question, because it gives me an opportunity to collect my thoughts and answer the question as best as I possibly can.

The topic for my opinion piece is physical child abuse.
What is the policy change you suggested?
The policy change I have selected is for schools Pre K-12 to hire professional children psychologist to help the school counselors with children suffering from acts of child abuse and any other problems as well. Also, I suggested that counselors make themselves more open to the children or students at their respected schools.
Why the genre you selected is the best format for your opinion piece?
I selected this genre because I feel it is the most professional and efficient way to get my message across.

Option A : I think a concern that my group will encounter with the film documentary is the editing. Editing is very tedious and sometimes even with all of your focus, you can still mess up.
Option B: My concern with group work is that you are accountable for another person and they are accountable for you. Your grade depends on their effort and vice versa and sometimes one person is stuck to do all the work.
For my University class we had to work on a research paper in groups and we all divided up the work and I was going to be the one to put it all together. When I receive everyone’s work I noticed that one person in the group copied and pasted the example our professor gave to us in class. So, I had to redo her whole portion as well as work on my own and it was unpleasant to say the least.

1. Describe the rhetorical choices you made in writing your research questions (use multiple images/sounds, etc.) in order to get an A on this assignment.
The rhetorical choices I made when writing my research questions was first looking for sources that would give my paper pathos. Pathos is important because my topic brings out emotion in others. Therefore, I chose sources such as non-profit organization websites, which are bias, but provide information spoken from the people my topic is about personally.
Furthermore, I wanted to chose a source by someone with experience in the field my topic was about. For example, I chose a video by a doctor with over 30 years of experience in the field my topic was about to give my paper ethos.
Overall my choices went off of what questions I had on my topic.
Those are a few of the rhetorical choices I made when writing my research questions.

One of the obstacles that I am currently encountering with the Literature Review assignment is narrowing down my topic. In the previous assignment the topic was narrow, but still broad. For example, my topic is child sexual abuse, narrow, but could even be narrowed down even further. This is where I am struggling. The question I am asking myself is, “Do I want to narrow it down to child sexual abuse in the U.S, in Texas, or even El Paso?”.
Furthermore, with that question anwsered I can move on to the structure, then from there the content, sources I am going to use, etc. But until that question is anwsered I am stuck at square one. Even though I did turn in some research questions that were supposed to help out, but it didn’t I feel.
Overall, I need focus! Hence the reasoning behind the photo attached. I just need to try harder and hone in to answer my question and overcome this obstacle.

How does studying genres impact your writing?
Studying genres can impact an individual's writing by improving it. Studying genres challenges someone to looking deeper into the message or purpose of the genre. In other words, not just take it at face value. For example, you can see a iconographic genre such as a video and say something along the lines of, "it was good"; but by digging deeper into the genres purpose you are able to give a better analysis. Especially when you are writing about it. Studying genres is very beneficial when it comes to writing, but it also depends on who is the studying the genre. The person studying the genre must be very observant in order to give a detailed analysis.
To conclude, studying genres can impact someone's writing in a good way, but it also depends on the person writing about the genre on how well it impacts the writing.
