I’ll be robbed off my sleep if I resist myself from doing these things. Or by an off chance if I sleep it’ll be filled with fair false dreams of you. -_- I hate that. I’ll better call them nightmares.

Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai’s arrest has ended up giving unexpected results to Chinese communist party. He has been arrested under HongKong national security law. But what’s his crime? What has he done? And what’s exactly written in HongKong national security law? That’s something which is not specified and rather we can never expect China to specify. CCP though its scaring people and setting an example to all pro democracy protesters in Hongkong by arresting Jimmy Lai “a prominent pro democracy protester”. It wanted to tell all pro democracy protesters that they will face the same fate as Jimmy lai if they speak up against main land China and HongKong national security law.

But what has happened?

Jimmy Lais arrest has been severely backfired. World leaders like USA’s state secretary Mike Pompeo, Britain prime minister Boris Johnson and Justin truedo are questioning China’s suppression of pro democracy protesters using national security law. He’s making head lines around the world.

Well what about HongKongers? How are they reacting to this arrest?

Jimmy Lai became an even bigger star. His media outlet apple daily became Hongkongs biggest media house. It’s stocks jumped 1400 percent after his arrest. Instead of printing 70,000 copies apple daily printed 5 lakh copies. People of HongKong queued up to buy them. HongKongers despite the fear that they may be arrested under the same national security law are standing up against Chinas mainland and in support Jimmy Lai. He’s being called a freedom fighter. Have you noticed the change? “Freedom fighter”

Earlier HongKongers only protested for autonomy from mainland China but now they want freedom from China. Well what goes around comes around. China tried to suppress HongKong’s pro democracy protests by imposing a vaguely worded national security law and by arresting Jimmy Lai. Hongkongers are strongly retaliating by turning a protest for autonomy from main land China to full fledged freedom movement.

In 1989 when there are protests in Beijing for democracy, #CCP has sent tanks to kill people. Now it’s 2020 it cannot send tanks which is why it’s imposing a new national security law which kills democracy in Hongkong. It chokes Hongkong, it undermines HKs autonomy. It hammers the principle of one country- two systems. And #CCP has not made the draft of the law public but one thing is clear it allows China’s state security to operate in Hongkong. The moment, Foreign securities are allowed to operate in another land how can that be called as one country- two systems? This law is a violation of sino-British agreement, 1984 which states that China shall not take control of Hongkong until 50 years. But China has already crossed the line.
