I'm in love with the idea of Aphrodite being Misty's mentor in many areas~🤭😏

So I like to think that Misty can be more naive/innocent than what he pretends not to be for these matters, despite having a lot of fans and being smart in general. Rivals with benefits + Tension

For these I used as reference a series of pictures of Bardot and Delon that gave me DiteMisty vibes! Also, around the time I was working on this, Kylie Minogue released a song that I loved a lot and was listening to it non-stop, so it accompanied me during this "process". These lyrics could be sooo Misty to me 🤭:

This left me wanting Aphrodite to be the one who would prefer Misty over everyone else and made me obsessed with the idea of ​​Misty being "the darling", not only of Aphrodite, but also of his silver friends. I made the mistake to watch Sleeping Beauty with the Misty/DiteMisty brainrot and this is what happened!

"Rivals with benefits"

This is how the brainrot started...🙃

After reading a couple of fics that involved these two in some way, and the impression I've had of them from the fandom, which generally sees them as rivals, I started to fall in love with the idea of ​​"Rivals with benefits".

To me it would make a lot of sense for Misty to admire Aphrodite, and even see him as an ideal, beautiful and powerful, but I can see Aphrodite being somewhat indifferent at first, causing Misty's pride to hide his admiration behind his arrogance and consider him a "rival". At the same time, Misty convinces himself that they are the only ones "worthy" of each other because they are the most beautiful ones. 😅

It would be fun to see Misty struggle between his crush and his pride!☺️

I think Misty would manage to get Aphrodite's attention with his assertiveness. It would be impossible not to notice him (he would make it impossible!!😆) and Aphrodite would respond with a playful attitude towards the whole situation, hiding some interest in Misty. I can even see him teasing Misty to teach him a lesson, but things might get out of his hands... 👀

The first sketch was me starting to consider the idea, which I thought to use later for the free day theme of the rarepair week in 2023. Third and fourth are the "finished" piece and a wip of the same piece (that I still like more 🥲) that is based on a picture of Brigitte Bardot and Alain Delon, that has a very similar pose to the one I used on the second piece, but I found that reference after the event... I still did it! I was getting obsessed and needed more of them!

I also started seeing Bardot as my real life Misty, which didn't help with the brainrot...
