He scoffed openly at the request to not use a name that still held so much emotion that it was a wonder it didn’t make his voice shake. It was impressive he’d learned to compartmentalize to that great an effort, considering his history was so tangled with hers that it was hard to tell where she ended and where he began. His own bright blues danced over her, having done away with the need to avoid looking. Perhaps he was comforted by his own torture, protecting their memories with mountains of mutual hurt, instead of letting them go all together. Looking at her told him a thousand things he didn’t want to know. Monroe St Thomas still knew her better than he knew himself, on any given day. It didn’t matter that today was about him, when concerns easily bubbled in his chest. It was what made him ache, what woke him up in the middle of the night. It was nightmares of their parting, waking up to their truth - the fact that never again would he be able to have her as he once had. It was like ripping the framework from the foundation and then demanding the house still stand. When she reached out, he shook his head before hand skipped hers. Instead, feet fell forward, arms wrapping around smaller frame to pull her in. He wasn’t sure if he needed it or she did, but it was there. Coming home felt like this, he was sure. Monroe probably held her too tight in the silent, chin resting on the top of her head, breathing in her memory. “Just shut up.” He managed, eyes closed, and sigh that followed was hard to place, somewhere between wistful and contented.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 she felt his arms around her petite body, she could have sworn that she travelled back in time. to the times, where everything was simply better and she could consider him the most important person in her life, not making the slightest secret out of it. at his touch, her entire body stiffened at first, pure shock written all over her face as she didn’t know how to react. she wasn’t supposed to react in any way, she repeated over and over again, but other thoughts were simply overshadowing those. her head told her to push him away, to leave him, that she couldn’t be around someone that had joined the diablos while he knew that she belonged to the reapers & considered those family. and how her head constantly reminded her how much it hurt when she found out that he joined the wrong club, how she cried for too many days to count, never telling a single soul about it. but her heart ? oh , her heart . it didn’t want this moment to ever stop. victoria had missed the smell of his, the heat radiating from his body, the feeling of comfort and safety only he managed to give to her, even after all these years. for what felt like an eternity, the brunette simply didn’t move at all, it nearly even seemed like she wasn’t breathing anymore, this very scenario simply asking too much of her. extremely slowly, she finally dared to take a deep breath, going over all the possibilities of how this could end right now over and over again. and slowly & carefully, she mimicked his movements, arms wrapped around his muscular body, holding him as tight as possible, proving how scared she was of the second she had to let him go again. lips and hands were trembling as the emotions building up inside her were too much for her to handle, bright hues closed in fear, yet she could slowly feel little drops of water rolling over her cheek, ending up on his shirt. she wanted to listen to his words, to not break the silence, but there was a part inside her that couldn’t stay shut, that needed to clarify that this moment was wrong. “ we shouldn’t... i should better go... ” , she managed to whisper against his chest, voice breaking slightly while feeling his chin still on her head. but still, she didn’t even make the effort to move away for just an inch. while her mouth was listening to the thoughts in her head, her body was listening to her heart & she couldn't remember the last time she was so conflicted about anything.

“Oh come on, back from the dead? I can only assume zombies have no tolerance for alcohol.” She grins playfully, it’s easier to jest between the two of them rather than dwell on appreciation that has always been there in one way or another. It’s better silent, better hidden behind actions than stumbled over with words. Bria wasn’t quite sure when she’d made the decision, when she had decided that Camilla was one of the good things in her life, but it was a decision that hasn’t disappointed. She took the glass, raising it silently before agreeing. “Hear hear, I guess I do trust this bitch.” A nod of agreement before the vodka tossed back, a more than healthy swig taken as she pushes herself up on the counter opposite the chair the ex president takes. “You say that as if I have enough other friends to actually hear the gossip.” She scoffs, eyes rolling before leaning back against the cupboards. “Same old, same old, unless of course you’d like to hear about the slight run in I may have had the other week, or about my version of a really fucked up happy ending.” Bria shook her head, cringing as she recalled her own wrongdoing, but if there was gossip - the windswept story of her and Theo would certainly count toward that pot.
“ 𝐎𝐇, 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐍 ! ” camilla knew too well that you didn’t need to have friends in this town to know about the gossip. people loved to talk, spill dirty secrets & rumors, not caring about the consequences their action might have. as much as she hated to admit it, she was one of them, especially because back in the day when she sat on the diablo throne , gossip travelled even faster to her. however, once the other woman started to speak up about some scenarios, dark hues widened in excitement and camilla clapped her hands together while crossing her right leg over her left. quickly , she took another ( rather small ) sip of the vodka, before her utter attention was focused on the probably only friend she currently had left & didn’t judge her for what she had done. “ slight run in ? really fucked up happy ending ? bria, please. ” she rested her elbows on the table and cupped her chin in her hands, proving that she was more than ready to hear everything that happened. “ tell me all about it. ”

he expects a comment, he expects her to freeze as soon as his arms are around her but instead, he’s met with her body completely melting into his and for a moment, he wonders what the hell she ran away from and why she never told him a single thing about it. what could push her away like this? all this time, dc has believed that she left because she wanted to, because she was looking for something else, somewhere else. but as she clings to him and their eyes lock, there’s so many things that go unsaid between them. victoria was one of the first people he met when he moved to stratford, he was the ghost of the man that he is right now after years of being locked up. even when victoria didn’t know everything that happened to him, she’d showed him into the reapers and almost made them a second family to him. so he’s still wondering what kept her away from all of them for so long. he’s not selfish enough to believe that it has anything to do with him, but he also wonders why she didn’t confide in him about her leaving. “it’s aight. i know you don’t mean them.” dc smirks back at her, looking back at her easily because of the height difference between them. he’s always seen victoria as a big girl, despite how short she is. she was strong; stronger than dc or that any other man, but somehow the way that she’s clinging to him right now, after months of not seeing each other has him worried. he’s absolutely hiding it as he lets his eyes scan over her face, trying to figure out what to even say. for someone that doesn’t show her feelings often, victoria saying things like that to him of all people has dc’s head spinning. “you’re starting to scare me now.” he whispers with a small laugh, his hand moving to her arms carefully as if trying to give her some sort of support. “you know, the only reason why i never held you before it’s cause i thought you would kick my ass, right? hugs are free. at least mine are.” he tries to get a smile out of her despite how things are. it’s the least he can do. “are you back…for good?”
“ 𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 ? ”, she chuckled lightly , knowing damn well what he meant with his words. this wasn’t her usual kind of behavior and she could imagine how easily it confused other people. in this very moment, she was even a stranger to herself. she couldn’t even remember the last time she managed to let loose in a hug like this. or when she had a hug in general. for a few more seconds , she enjoyed the unusual feeling of comfort , arms still wrapped around him, followed by the hope that she wouldn’t have to ever miss this again. she wouldn’t know what to do without him. before she slowly increased the distance between them again, instantly missing his touch as victoria wiped away a last tear, bloodshot eyes and dilated pupils reminding her of a state of emotion she’d never want to go through again. she couldn’t show that she was weak, that it was so easy to break her when somebody just dropped a wrong word into the thin air. usually she’d settle such issue with her bruised fists, but obviously she couldn’t do it towards him, so it only had been a matter of time before he’d be the first person to see her like this. “ don't tell anyone about this. ” while she did laugh at her own words, the soldier was deadly serious. she didn’t want anyone to find out, especially because she needed to keep up her reputation. what would the other reapers think, after all ? or worse : the diablos ? she couldn’t let that happen. “ i appreciate that your hugs are free, but i usually... ” the cold & repellent behavior the woman was famous for, appeared back as she took a few more steps back, arms crossed over her chest as some sort of defense mechanism. “ well, i usually don’t like hugs ”, she simply stated while nervously biting down on her lower lip, unsure how to feel about the fact that he had just witnessed her completely opening up to him. “ and yeah, i’m back for good. you won’t get rid of my annoying ass. ”

He was unbearably new, which stood out like a sore thumb to some people. Mateo stopped wondering if that was going to affect him, stopped worrying if he’d never find a way in, because time didn’t exactly matter. Other things could so easily become currency. That was not what this was about though, this was simply fun, laughing as she threatened to destroy him. “Strong words for someone who hasn’t even seen me throw yet.” He manages, amused, but never cocky. He knew better. Mateo leans against the bar, only giving up their banter momentarily, to order a drink. “A few more years just gave you more time to pick up bad habits.” Shoulders shrugged, keeping it casual while grin tugged at his mouth. “I’m Mateo, and I’m sure, so after you.” He waves his hand toward the corner with the boards.
𝐃𝐄𝐄𝐏 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍, vanessa already knew that she’d lose . she wasn’t good at games like these , but her big mouth always got her into trouble before she could back down . but the second she walked over to the boards and picked up the first three darts , the teasing grin that had embellished her features before , disappeared quickly and all that was left was defeat . nevertheless , the woman wouldn’t give up now and therefore followed his words to start - and let’s just say everyone in this bar could consider themselves lucky that they didn’t get hit when she let loose of the dart. “ well - ”, she awkwardly scratched the back of her neck, cheeks turning slightly red at the embarrassment but at least she still could laugh when she turned around to face the new one. “ i’d love to see you doing better. you’re so going to pay those drinks. ” sarcasm clearly was her best defense, while she slowly stepped back, giving him the space he needed to throw.

the moment he gets the text, he strongly thinks about flinging his phone across the nearest wall. it’s tempting, and he could just update to a newer model, but he refrains. there was only one rational answer in this case: no. no, he won’t meet her at the backdoor of deseo. not in fifteen minutes, not ever. if he were a better man, with a bigger conscience ( hell, with any conscience at all ), that would’ve been his response. the thing is, he’s not. has never been and he certainly isn’t about to start tonight. he’ll fool himself into thinking that maybe he just needs to see her for himself; scratch the itch that had been nagging at him for a while now. it would be a lie to say there isn’t the slightest part of him that is glad camilla isn’t actually dead. all things considered, she was a damn good rival. maybe that was why their meetings had always been intense, electric. no room for rationality, only raw passion — hatred was more like it, but what mattered was that it fueled them all the same. and damn, did he enjoy it. not that he would ever admit to that, to her or anyone. he finds himself looking at the message again, and again, and again, the minutes passing by, and he’s not sure if he’s stalling just for the hell of it or because he still thinks there’s a chance he might back out and do the right thing for once. what a fucking joke, right? yeah. twenty two minutes after he’d received the text, he hops off his bike in front of the strip club and heads to the backdoor, where he knew he would find her. where he’d always find her. there was no one else around but her, and now him. no one but the two of them, which was often how he felt whenever they were around each other either way. his gaze travels across her figure, burning the image he didn’t think he’d get to see again into his mind. hands are stuffed inside the pockets of his jacket and he steps closer, stopping in front of her, head cocking to the side. there’s so much he could say, but not much he wants to say, so he lets silence settle for a moment. and then … “ you rang? ”
𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓 nearly took an unwelcome pause when his figure slowly appeared in the dim light that shed light on the back of deseo. honestly, after the first five minutes, the ex diablo had already given up on him even appearing here. and when the fifteen minues passed, it didn’t really surprise her ---- if anything , she was glad, thankful to him even that at least he seemed to have the common sense that meeting up with her would be a mistake. yet, there was a small part inside of her, that didn’t give up and if that meant she’d have to wait here till sunrise: she’d wait. it at least would give her time to sober up. but when the reaper actually turned around the corner, her breath quickly stopped for a second, lips slightly parted as if she wanted to say something, but nothing would come out. camilla joined him in the silence, dark hues wandering over his body, taking in the features she had undoubtedly missed, but would never admit. just gazing at him brought up ( rather unwanted ) memories. memories she knew she should try to forget, that no one ever could know about & she should feel even more guilty about now that her half-sister knew about it. nevertheless, exactly those memories managed to conjure a mischieviously grin. however, it disappeared as quickly as it appeared as his question took her by complete surprise. how unbelievable, she thought when the first thing he managed to do was to push her buttons right away. “ you’re late ” , was all she countered instead of giving him a proper answer while slowly decreasing the distance between them. she was so close, that she only needed to stand on her tiptoe if she wanted to feel those lips again that were like an intoxicating drug. camilla wanted to reach out for him, touch him, feel him. she just wanted to forget everything around her for tonight, but the guilt was still annoyingly nagging at the back of her head. her eyes were sparkling with desire as they locked with his & she took a long, deep breath in order to restrain herself.

she doesn’t waver for a second, knowing better than to display any signs of weakness in front of a former close friend — and most importantly, her former president. while derya used to respect camilla above everything, holding great admiration for the woman, she would never stand down or bow her head. she didn’t know who the woman standing in front of her now was; hard as she tried, she couldn’t see the one she used to consider an almost sister. “ i’m not talking about that bullet and you should know that. ” her tone is sharp, but not nearly enough for the torment going through her mind. “ no, you wanna know what’s bullshit? everything you just said. ” this time she was the one stepping closer, the fire burning in her eyes resembling camilla’s. “ you don’t get to act like i haven’t earned this position or wouldn’t have gotten it regardless of your little disappearance act just because you want the throne back. you may be diablo legacy but that doesn’t make you blue blooded. i’m just as deserving as you or anyone else in the club. ” brow raises in defiance, as if she’s just waiting for camilla to shove her apparent incompetence in her face. call it a childhood trauma. “ that wasn’t your choice to make. we are a damn family. we didn’t need to be protected, we needed you — we needed our president. ” her gaze doesn’t leave the other, and for a moment, she’s just glad camilla is okay. it’s a very fleeting moment, though. “ you’re not the bad guy, camilla. far from it. but i won’t let you make me into one either .”
𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐒, she had forgetten about all thoughts of not getting physical and her fists were clenched as she walked even closer, pushing the other female back just slightly. “ what did you just say? ” , she hissed, brown hues nearly going over to black as they were filled with nothing but emptiness towards the other woman at this point. “ you wouldn’t be vice president right now if it weren’t for me disappearing, don’t even dare to lie to me. everything has changed after i’ve been gone - especially in the higher positions. and if you think for just a second... ” quickly, the brunette turned around again, kicking a chair that was standing close to her, instead of letting her anger further out on the former friend. as much as every nerve in her body wanted to react with physical violence right now, mainly because she was simply more experienced in getting people to realize that they did something wrong with fists instead of words, she couldn’t hurt derya. camilla still cared about her , as much as she hated to admit it at this very point. “ and if you just think for a second that i want my old position back, you don’t know me at all. i am more than glad that someone like ollie took my place. i couldn’t have asked for anyone better. but you... i don’t know. after everything i’ve done for you, it just feels like you were waiting for the perfect moment to stab me in the back. and what’s a better moment than me pretending to be dead, huh ? you finally got the position you always wanted. because you know damn well i wouldn’t have given it to you yet because i do believe you lack the experience. i know, i know - i always said i wanted you to work besides me, and it wasn’t a lie, just not now. it takes time, and you just rushed into things. ”

“You know…” He starts in that tone that practically announces intention to be an absolute….asshole. “It’s not my fault that your tinder account was somehow hacked, you act as if I have the time…” Once again, he’s practically telling on himself by the way that laughter threatens to spill over. “To keep up with the sad state of your dating life, V.” @discsters
𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐀 𝐈𝐍𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐃𝐄𝐄𝐏𝐋𝐘, trying her hardest not to roll her eyes at his childish behavior, while she nearly threw her phone into the corner, quite pissed that he had yet again managed to hack her. the woman always made sure that it was nearly impossible to hack herself, especially because she owned information that was quite lucrative, but of course, he was just as smart as her, always finding a way to remind her daily that she’d never get rid of him. “ you know, you can just gladly tell me if you’re jealous of my hot tinder dates because they get to spend some proper time with me. you don’t have to hack my account for it and accidentally cause me being reported.” honestly, she couldn’t care less. it was a surprise she even still had the app, and mainly used it to find some innocent targets for some hacker practice. yet, she also found amusement in teasing him just as much as he does towards her. “ or did you use it because you miss people flirting with you ? because i can imagine that probably only happens once a month to you. if not even less. ”

cassie had a tendency to not fully understand the severity of situations. or so she liked people to believe. in reality she just ignored situations. she always had done since she was a teenager and began to now. cassie knew what had happened between the diablos and reapers and knew why victoria had disappeared. but she didn’t question it when her friend turned back up in town and asked cassie if she wanted to hang out. if victoira wanted to tell her – she’d tell her. “no – i’d class us more as miscreants. or swindlers maybe,” cassie countered, before taking the cigarette and taking a puff of it herself. “we need a label that’s fun to say.” she shook her head at the next words. “you don’t owe me anything. you know i’m always down for a spontaneous night out – but tonight i’m feeling tequila.”
𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐊 her head at her reply , while reaching for the cigarette to take it back . “ nah , my dear. we are both unique . we don’t need to put a label on us, honestly. ” slowly , the reaper leaned over to the counter of the bar, blue eyes scanning the area behind it for the barkeeper until she caught her, blowing smoke in the air in the meantime. thankfully , the alcohol she had already managed to drink this evening, gave her a boost of confidence and if one looked closely, they’d even see that she was trying to flirt with the woman that just joined these two and asked what they could bring them. a rather rare sight , as victoria wasn’t one for such behavior . oh, what alcohol could do to people. “ tequila. lots of tequila. just keep it comin’. it’s all on me. ” and it didn’t take long before two shots were standing infront of her and cassie , the tequila bottle right next to it & victoria’s attention was finally drawn towards her friend again. “ just admit it, without me , it must have been pretty boring here. ”

he looked at her, and the response was a reminder that there was always an unexpected angle that would surprise you. the blissful ignorance was never something he would have pegged for her flavor, but she was the one who’d been shot. logically, he should have respected her wishes, but there was no part of him that was docile enough for that. there was still a steady screaming, demand for the truth, and one that itched to put blood on his hands in her name. actions had consequences, and just as he’d had to learn that the hard way? well, so would the person who had made the mistake of putting a bullet in her. he already had a copy of the folder for himself, before he left it on the desk, looking from it to her. “alright, alright.” he’s backstepping, holding hands out like a white flag. “you know i can’t do that, but it’s the last you’ll hear or see of it.” he admits, a solemn nod, edged with the corner of a smile that made him both so hard, and so easy to hate. “now, you want something concealable, or something a little more obvious, this time around?” he’s made the statement colder, purposely putting them back into the realm to business, despite anywhere else he may have been previously headed.
𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐋𝐘 , something inside the former president snapped and she instantly stepped closer towards him , the distance between them as slim as possible and she could nearly feel his breath on her own skin. “ you can’t do what ? destroy it ? ”, she hissed through gritted teeth , dark eyes sparkling with signs of violence . while he did help her a lot with escaping , this was still a business relationship for her . and only a business relationship . and when she wanted something to be gone , he had to follow it - at least that’s what she thought about it , since he received the money for his work in the end. even if she didn’t particular ask him in this case to find out who did it. “ i don’t want you to continue working on this , castor . do you fuckin’ get that ? trust me , i want to find this bastard as well and make him pay for it , but i have years of experience in this and know when i have to back down . sooner or later , they’ll find out anyway that i’m still alive and kicking . and if my ‘death’ was important to them , they’ll come around again . if not - let them be . we have enough shit going on here , i do not want to add to that . so , when i say destroy it , i mean it . ” she took a deep breath , eyes still directly focused on his own as she clenched her jaw , completely ignoring his questions towards her request of a new gun . “ and i won’t put the diablos into any more trouble because you can’t seem to manage to not stuck your nose into things that have nothing to do with you . did i make myself clear ? ”

‘ alcohol isn’t going to solve your problems. / frankie + vanessa ‘ ( @discsters )
“you say that like it’s supposed to mean something to me.” her voice remains monotone, void of any sense of emotion. she felt numb, and honestly – she wanted to keep it that way. hence the way her motions continued, filling her glass as much as she pleased with little to no care of the other’s remarks. “if this is an attempt to stop me – it’s not going to work.” she briefly gazes up at her, unsure of what response she was waiting for. defeat, that’s all the paramedic could sum up her situation. “there must be another reason you’ve decided to plague me with your presence.”
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐃 at the other’s remark, shaking her head in disbelief . it was incredibly sad what alcohol could do to the physical & emotional state of a human being . it wasn’t the case that vanessa didn’t enjoy a nice glass of wine after a long day of work too , but she knew her limits . “ i’m not trying to befriend you, so of course i’m not just here to hang out with you ” , she spoke in a rather annoyed voice as she finally sat down next to the blonde , dark eyes fixed on her , as she ordered towards the bartender for her own drink . “ isn’t it a bit sad though ? you’re helping people every day , and yet no one seems to be able to help you. what is it that makes you so addicted to that stuff ? the guilt of not saving enough people ? ” she knew her words were harsh as fingertips were curiously tapping on the table , attention not once drawn away from the other . “ or is it because you feel guilty for patching up the bad guys you’re not allowed to help ? ” , she asked more quiet now, only for frankie to hear .

every nerve in her body felt like it was on fire as she glared at her sister, her cheeks getting red with anger and her mouth dropping open in shock. ‘ you are not so fucking stupid that you can possibly believe that shit ⏤ lying by omission, camilla, is still fucking lying ! and it becomes my business when the guy you’re fucking behind my back is the same guy i cried to you about for weeks. you guys went behind my fucking back and did this shit to me and now i’m somehow the bad guy ? i’m the one overreacting ? you’ve shot people for less ! ’ her hands moved in tandem with her words, punctuating her point as she stepped away from camilla, pacing the room in frustration. ‘ that’s hilarious because i made it over two decades without a single mendoza in my life taking care of me and i ended up more sane & with more of a heart than either of you ! i know being nice is seen as a sign of weakness around here but jesus fucking christ, it doesn’t make me incapable of taking care of myself. i’m not some child you took in out of the kindness of your fucking heart, i’m your sister and i deserved so much fucking better. ’ she was truly resisting the urge to throw something at that moment, instead settling for holding the railing of the bed. ‘ oh i’m sorry, do you have somewhere to be ? because last time i checked you’re not even the president of your own goddamn biker club anymore and up until a while ago, you couldn’t feed yourself without me holding the fucking spoon. what could you possibly be busy doing ? finding another person i’m in love with and fucking them too ? ’
𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐄 was increasing rapidly at this very moment , dark hues focused on her other half , lips quivering . and then it happened , all of a sudden , without a warning from her body . a single tear rolled over camilla’s cheek , which she quickly tried to wipe away so her sister wouldn’t even notice in the first place , but it was too late . the flow of tears wouldn’t stop & for once in her life , the oldest mendoza sibling was overwhelmed with her own emotions . after all , when was the last time she even had showed such emotion ? quickly , she faces lu with her back , taking multiple deep breaths , closing her eyes while she tried to concentrate , but nothing would help . “ fuck... ” she cursed under her breath , knowing damn well that she had no choice but to face the truth of her sister’s words. “ fine ! ” , she nearly yelled into the room, arms angrily thrown up in the air as she turned around on her heels again . “ you’re right . is that what you wanted to hear , huh ? that i fucked up ? fine, i did . i know . and i AM sorry about it because the last thing i want to do is hurt you , but you also know me . i do not care if someone gets hurt if i do something for the club or for myself. but not with you , because you are my family . ” words were filled with tears as camilla could feel the bitter taste of salt on her tongue . “ but just for one second , please also understand in what position i’ve been in . i always had to be there . always . i didn’t have the time to think for a second about myself , i was living for the club . and i still do . so , i gladly took every stress relief that came into my way - including certain diablos . but you know what ? ” slowly , the anger overshadowed the guilt again and the brunette had finally managed to wipe the last tear away . “ if you want to continue to lie to yourself and think you deserve better than this family that you’ve got, this family that would kill for you, and that i have never done anything for you, then there’s the door. feel free to leave. ”

blue mocks the other exclamation by making a scrunched up expression “uhm, yes it was necessary. do you know what you put me through?” she said with a hint of teasing on her tone, after all the other had gone through she could never actually compared both situations, however she did have a tough time while wondering if her friend was alright or not, how she was and the constant worry. celine only nods at the words and follows the other into the diner and to the table she has decided on, she sat on the spot and interlocked her fingers together as saying that she was waiting for the other to begin to speak and explain whatever she needed to. at the question her eyes turned into slits “yes, i’ll have some fries.” she said the latter part directed at the waitress to who she gave a small smile before turning her glare back on victoria and raised her eyebrows, anticipating the next words, but of everything she thought was coming next she wasn’t expecting that, her expression changed into a softer one “i missed you too.”
𝐈𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐍'𝐓 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 for the food to arrive . victoria had ordered a chicken burger with fries and she didn’t wait a second before she took the first bite , a content sigh slipping through her lips at the familiar taste she had missed way too much. “ gotta admit, i didn’t think it was possible to miss this special food this much, but damn. ” she laughed at her own remark, and before the serious talk ( she knew would happen one way or another ) would follow , the reaper at least wanted to enjoy her meal. but the food on her plate disappeared quicker than expected, since she had been incredibly hungry . it was also good to hear that one of her closest friends had missed her, too. the entire time she was running away , thoughts like people wouldn’t miss someone like her anyway & she was better off far, far away from stratford were constantly annoying her . “ i assume you have a lot of questions, don’t you ? ”, she finally had the guts to ask celine, bright blue eyes focused on her only. “ and --- i'm sorry for just leaving without a word. but i was just so... ” slowly, eyes were suddenly filled with sadness and she looked down, not wanting her friend to see her like this. “ just scared... ”, victoria added as quietly as possible , voice breaking slightly .

@discsters ‘i could try to calm you down, but i know you won’t.’ / oliver + camilla
he scoffs at her statement and folds his arms over his chest. “i hardly think that’s a fair thing to say after the shit you pulled, cam.” the nickname falls so easily from his mouth and he realises he has missed it. he’s missed saying her name because he thought she was gone but here she stood in front of him like nothing had happened. “how am i meant to calm down when somebody i was told was dead is standing in front of me? like, you know, please tell me how that’s meant to go. because i actually want to know what your idea is here.” he cocks an eyebrow and leans against his desk, watching her closely. it hasn’t even crossed his mind that his desk used to be hers or that he sits where she used to. not now, anyway. he’s thought about it before and it was always painted with guilt and sorrow. but now, he just feels anger towards her because it had been fake. sure, he would let her explain herself because that was only fair, but until such a time, oliver was livid.
𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄 feeling, being in the room again that once belonged to her , but having no say in it anymore. of course she missed it. she had been the president for quite some years , but at the same time : it did feel good to finally not have that burden on her shoulders anymore. nevertheless, she’d always take the position back --- but she knew she would never had the change again, and that was okay. it was her own fault, as much as she hated it. “ the shit i pulled ? ”, she asked him, dark hues fixed on him, arms crossed over her shoulders . camilla was glad that he had taken over, she couldn’t have imagined anyone better for this position , but he still lacked the experience she had behind that desk .he’d probably never truly understand why she did it. “ listen, i get it . hell, i’d be pissed , too. but out of everyone in this goddamn club , you should know why i did it. because i tried to protect all of you. sure --- i’m not even going to try and deny it that , for a split second , i thought i finally could get rid of this life. of being the bad guy. just start over. i’m not denying that & please , feel free to hate me as much as you want for it. but i mainly faked my death , so they wouldn’t try it again if they saw i survived . so they wouldn’t come for people i care about , that could accidentally get shot , too. i took the fall , so no one else had to suffer . so, please, ollie. ” carefully, she decreased the distance between them and a nearly pleading smile , a unique sight on the woman’s face , was tugging at the corner of her lips. “ don’t kick me out of the diablos , the ones i tried to protect. the people who are my family. ”
