What’s Starbound? I’m curious, since those edits look so good!

It’s a video game! If I had to describe it in the most simplistic terms, it’s like the child of Terraria and No Man’s Sky, but then it also went off to do it’s own thing, got some neat unique lore and world-building, became not that well optimised, and somehow managed to garner a surprisingly active modding scene.

In a bit more detailed explanation, it’s a 2D mostly sandbox game where you play as one of seven races (or more if you install enough mods) and explore the expansive randomly generated universe to your heart’s content. There is a plot within the game’s main story missions, but you’re not forced to do them and you can just instead go off and just do whatever you want.

The AU I’m working on is specifically based on the game with a bunch of mods installed.
