Real Story
Is this Justice
The Beginning: A Journey of Dedication
Ishan, a passionate educator from Andhra Pradesh, began his teaching journey at a lower primary school in Karnataka. Right from day one, he poured his heart and soul into his role, earning the trust of his students and colleagues. His commitment didn’t go unnoticed—he was soon promoted to the position of Academic Coordinator, a role that came with greater responsibility.
The Turning Point: When Loyalty Met Disappointment
After a year of handling additional responsibilities, Ishan felt it was reasonable to request a salary hike. To his surprise, the school management declined, stating a rigid policy: "No hike for two years." Feeling undervalued and disheartened, Ishan made the decision to step down before the new academic year began.
As a responsible professional, he:
Handed over all school belongings
Verbally informed the management of his decision not to continue
The management, showing no objection, smiled and accepted the materials. Ishan then requested his final salary, to which the school said: “It will take 15–20 days.” Trusting their words, he returned to his home in Andhra Pradesh.
The Shock: Silence and Sudden Accusations
Ten days passed. Ishan politely requested a payslip and relieving letter—no response. Another ten days, still silence. But when he followed up persistently, the management suddenly responded—this time with hostility.
They now claimed:
Ishan never submitted a written resignation
They had rules and documents he had allegedly violated
He would now be fined for breaching a contract
These documents, never shared with Ishan at the time of joining, were presented for the first time, unsigned and unofficial. His request for a relieving letter and salary was now being rejected on the basis of policies he had never agreed to.
Reality Check: Was This Ethical?
Let’s examine some core issues here:
No written contract or policies were provided at the time of joining.
No acknowledgement or objection was raised when Ishan verbally resigned.
The management accepted the school’s property without any formal notice, implying acceptance of his exit.
Suddenly producing unsigned rules and accusing him of breach of contract raises serious ethical and legal concerns.
Evidence on Ishan’s Side
Ishan has complete chat records and communication logs with the management that:
Show his effort to exit properly
Highlight how the management responded casually at first, but turned hostile once he asked for his dues
These records make one thing clear—Ishan did his part. The management failed theirs.
🗳️ POLL: Does Ishan Deserve Justice?
Do you believe Ishan is right in expecting his salary and a relieving letter after serving the school sincerely and informing them of his resignation?
🔘 Yes – The management is clearly unethical and exploiting a technicality. 🔘 No – He should have submitted a written resignation, no matter what. 🔘 Partially – Both parties should have handled it more professionally.
