There is a dark brown skin doll posted on your feed. She has curves and is in a case with another doll. You stated that these two were the same size. But there were not, clearly. Please tell me where you found that brown skinned beauty, ive been searching for one. Thank you.

She is an Argonautica Doll "Plus Size" body in brown, with a Supiadoll Lana head that I dyed and painted to match color.

I love that body. It not only looks gorgeous, but it also poses so elegantly! I don't think orders are open for her right now, but the artist does open them periodically. Best of luck,

This is what I needed, I was despairing of even finding a head that for this doll proportions. I'd have to die the lady luminous head but it would work!!!

Grabbed an AA Endless Hair Kingdom doll for her saran hair. Decided to try a tan Lady Luminous head on it… Oh no. I love it. Slightly shorter and more petite than her original body.

I did some redressing this morning. I knew I wanted to put the sequin dress on that doll because it kind of echoed her original outfit, but fancier! And of course I had to go ott with a jacket and gold accessories. 😆 (Does that sculpt have a name? I don't typically give my dolls names, I just refer to them by their sculpt.)

And I finally figured out what outfit to put on my Curvy Christie, I don't think I ever shared the two pieces I made that she is wearing.

I love redressing the doll with the Grace sculpt, she was wearing Christie's outfit originally, but I thought the rainbow outfit would look pretty cute on her since it was freed up. 😊

I need some help and you’re the only doll blog I follow. I started doll customizing last week and I don’t own an air brush, so I thought I could use spray paint on my monster high doll. It worked great on the body, but I’m having trouble with the head? It’s been over twenty hours and the head is still glossy and wet. Is it the material or something? Thanks in advance

Oh no, I’m afraid there’s nothing you can do to save that head now! 😓 Spray paint made for plastics works great for hard plastic doll bodies, but it will destroy soft vinyl heads.

I’ve stopped using sprays in general the past year or so, mainly because it’s a hassle waiting for good weather, buy also because even though I have the correct breathing protection I’m just really anxious about how dangerous sprays can be. I already have asthma, I don’t want lung cancer.

So the conventional advice would be to get a can of Mr SuperClear or a different vinyl friendly sealer and use that to seal layers of color, making sure you’re protecting yourself with an OSHA certified respirator mask.

But that’s not what I do anymore.

What I do is paint a thin layer of matte Mod Podge on the doll head, let that dry, paint the new skin color on (with a smoothing medium mixed in my color), and once that’s dry I finish with another layer of diluted matte Mod Podge. Then paint the face up details, and seal with more diluted mod podge. I find the Mod Podge evens out rough areas and is pretty durable. And if you dilute it 1=1 with some water, it dries really quickly.

I use basically the same method for painting bodies, though I really ought to try protecting the top of the neck where the head sits with a layer of super glue like I’ve seen @dolljunk and @dollsahoy do with their repainted doll bodies.

I just bought that Barbie and, the head is so weird on the body. I'm going thru my dolls to see what I have that would be a better fit. I bought it as a project doll from Amazon warehouse for like 17.00 . I really do love the shape and articulation on the Madame Alexander doll!

I finally got the green body I bought from Aliexpress on Aug 3!

I believe this is a Madame Alexander witch body, possibly from the Steampunk Wicked Witch of the West.

I initially bought it for the skintone alone, thinking I didn't really care for the sculpting. But when it got here today I actually really really liked working with her. I love the jointed feet. And the torso I thought was so odd in photos turns out to be charming in person with that underbust joint. AND the color is gorgeous!!

Her hips are unusual, a ball within a ball? They do allow a bit of inward and outward movement, and of course the knees and ankles swivel too. So you can get some fairly natural leg positions. Those feet joints really help with uneven leg poses too.

Single joint elbow arm posing is a bit limited but not awful. And her hands are oversized and a bit of a different color than the hard plastic body (feet are too).

Her body is hard clacky plastic that feels very light. This makes her really easy to pose though so I don't care a bit.

I'm considering head options. I love this green color and whichever head I use, I'm really looking forward to painting it. Maybe not in the next six months 😅 But someday ...

Finally was able to finish the WHC collection with Rallee Radmore I also picked up 2 fashion packs. I started to get a capsule chicks set and also Swag LOL OMG. But I honestly didn't want to spend the money on SWAG and for the capsule chicks I realized I really wouldn't do much with her, same as#snaostar Vita...I almost broke and got the tall M2M but I don't even touch my Barbies right now.

This is my absolute Grail doll other than one from from legrande dolls. I've been saving for her and just found out Phyn & Aero is closed and she is nigh on impossible to find. 😭😭😭

This line had my name written all over it. The very basic, nude makeup with subtle shading around the eyes, the middle parted, long hair just….yes, all of that please and thank you! I love these sculpts and I wish we could’ve gotten more dolls with them.  Her dress is very nice but I think it’s a little too long imo, so I dressed her in this MSD top after I finished her hair. She’s beautiful, will definitely have to get another doll from this collection.  I’m really sad to see Phyn and Aero go, at least they dropped one amazing line before they left.
