Meeting girls
Man (26): I’m looking for something serious, but struggling to meet girls through dating-apps. What can I do? Where can I meet them?
Digital Dating Advice: First of all, dating apps are 95% cancer. The problem is not the majority of the people on the apps, it’s the assumptions most people have about most people (and you know what “assume” means -- exactly, making an ass of you and me). Apps like Tinder are completely shallow, and if you are honestly looking for something serious, it’s more likely you’ll find serious somewhere else. If you are set on spending (read: wasting) time on dating apps, to ‘catch more bait’, there are a few things you can do. This includes for instance having pictures that are (more) pleasant to look at, a fun(nier) bio, and giving out the vibe of being a nice and fun-loving person.
Second of all. Here’s a lesson of common sense for you: if the thing you have been doing a hundred times doesn’t work, try something else. So get creative! You can meet through friends, friends of friends, work, parties, bars, events, concerts, in line of the supermarket, in class, while volunteering, at the gym, in a park. If you don’t seem to meet anyone in your daily life as it is today, then shake up your rhythm! Say yes to things you’d usually not say yes to. Try new things, meet new people. Get new friends, who knows, maybe they can set you up with someone down the line.

First date conversations (teen)
Boy (16): I'm going on my first date ever tomorrow. What do we do, or talk about?
Digital Dating Advice: Taking your age into consideration I would advice you to ask the person you are going on a date with about their interests/hobbies. Try to find common interests, for example TV-series or movies. Ask about favourites, and then ask *why* it's a favourite, this is a great way to learn more about the other person. Ask the other person questions, and respond to theirs. Don't let it feel like an interview, let the conversation be dynamic, back and forth.
If you're afraid conversation might get a bit stale, always make sure to read a few articles before you go on a date. Then, in case of an awkward silence, talk about whatever interesting thing you read about earlier.
As for what you can do on dates, there are endless different activities, but a first date is a good opportunity to get to know the other person. I would advice you to try doing something more interactive than watching a movie. Go get ice cream, go for a walk and talk, sit down at a park somewhere and get to know each other.
Good luck!
