Birdsong (excerpt part 3)
The melody of her aria
Is an angelic hymn
A psalm to the downtrodden
She creates on a whim
Her notes flow sweetly
As a holiday carol
Her breath ebbs and flows
Like a rhythmical barrel

Birdsong (excerpt part 2)
I see her perched high
On a limb out of reach
Wings flapping in the winds
Like a figure of speech
Her chest is inflated
Like a tenor a cappella
Hypnotizing stanzas
Of crooning sequela
Her song vacillates
From quiet and soothing
To a raucous staccato
And a cadence of brooding
Her voice is angelic
A sweet lullaby
To every onlistener
Who happens to fly by

Birdsong (excerpt)
For whom does she sing?
A lover lost or scorned?
Or maybe the departed
A ballad of mourn
Her head is held high
As if she's projecting
A melody of welcome
To the sun rays reflecting
Does she welcome the spring
And all that it brings?
Is a curse for the winter
The reason she sings?
Careless and kind
She serenades with a ballad
Between the skies of azure
And the billowing pallid
