I'm totally obsessed with the film adaptation of the iconic Broadway/West End musical "Wicked" these days and the entire cast is amazing but the two leads, Cynthia Erivo (Elphaba) and Ariana Grande (Glinda) really steal the show, they're both phenomenal in their respective roles. I've also seen the original "The Wizard Of Oz" movie from 1939 and I love how many subtle easter eggs and nods there are to that movie in "Wicked", some of these are seen in the quoted post above. I'm thinking about buying and reading the book on which "Wicked" was based, "The Life And Times Of The Wicked Witch Of The West" from 1995 by Gregory McGuire (which has been re-released simply as "Wicked" with cover art being the movie poster, most likely to ride on the movie's success) although I hear that it's very different, much darker, more disturbing and more political than the stage musical and movie. Still, I'm curious to read it!

I read rumors of this happening and I'm so happy to hear that it's actually coming!! I saw the musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on West End on September 2nd 2022 with my mom, my niece and a family friend and all four of us absolutely loved it! Can't wait to re-live that magical night all over again when it comes to Disney Plus next year!! ❄️🤩🙌

If you miss the good old days of MySpace...
...fear not! There's a website called Spacehey which looks and functions exactly like the classic MySpace, it even has the same color scheme and font in the name of the site! I used to be a huge MySpace user back in the day and was really frustrated when all my blogs were gone as a result of the old MySpace being shut down. But now I'm back to blogging, bulleting and meeting all sorts of new cool people on Spacehey and I could always use more friends there, you can find my page here: https://spacehey.com/didricknamtvedt

I miscalculated the length of my duvet cover when putting the duvet inside of it a few weeks ago and I've slept with a messed up duvet since, where a thin remnant of the cover would be muddled together below my chest and my feet would stick out at the end of the duvet. It's been like this for some weeks now where I would more or less make do with my messed up duvet cover as it was but last night I couldn't handle it anymore so I woke up (probably sometime around 4 AM lol), took the duvet out of the cover again and put it back in from another direction, made sure to thoroughly shake it back into place and make sure all four corners were inside, which felt like it took forever but I wanted my duvet to go back to normal now more than ever. And I fixed it now! My messed up duvet is now officially a thing of the past and I can sleep peacefully again! 😴😊

Happy new year!
How was everyone's Christmas? I'm now back in Bergen after enjoying the holidays up in the mountains with friends and family and now I'm getting ready to see what 2012 has to offer! (Hopefully no December apocalypse...!)
About to sign up for an extra semester in ENG101 at the University of Bergen and I'm determined to make it this time! I only get this one last shot, so it had better pay off and result in me finally passing the exam eventually! Fingers crossed!
I will also keep working out, my goal is to lose enough weight to get back the fit shape I had back in 2009. I miss the feeling of being that slim and having everyone commenting on my weight loss, it was such an awesome feeling that I would love to experience again! So I will definitely be stepping up my game at the gym this year and do more intensive workout in order to reach this goal! :)
So yeah, that's life for me right now. How about y'all, do you have any new years' resolutions?

Fun times in London!
So I came back home from London on Monday in the evening and I can look back on a great weekend there with my brother and his friend. Feeling the athmosphere there and seeing the sights of the city has all been amazing and a part of me really wants to go back and stay there lol but it's also nice to be back home again.
The flight across the pond to the UK went smoothly and along with my suitcase I had brought a rucksak (sp?) to keep some random small stuff in like my earphones and the charger for my iPhone. It was magical to see the lights of all the streets in London from the air as we approached the airport and I felt really excited to be back!
After going trough all the regular procedures one does at an airport when visiting another country, we got ready to get in line to grab a taxi to our hotel. As we stood waiting, I realized I had forgotten my rugsack on the plane! It sucked to realize it there and then but my brother and his friend assured me that there was nothing in there of real value and everything can be bought again later on, so I settled with the fact that the sack was gone and there really wasn't anything I could do about it. We got to the hotel, no fancy big hotel but very simple and just a place we would use for having our sleep at night. We got a room for six people so there was plenty of space for the three of us which was nice. We went out to a pub that my brother had been to many times before (the name of the pub escapes me atm), it was a nice little pub with an outdoor section for the guests to have a smoke with their drinks, but we mostly stayed inside, except from when my brother and his friend wanted to smoke a bit outside. The staff was really friendly and my brother knows the boss pesonally as he has been there many times before.  We then headed to another bar called Jaks bar which was introduced to my brother by my cousin who used to live in London and it was another great bar with paintings on the windows and christmas decorations everywhere. This was supposedly the place where all the "rich" people with style went to and one of the hottest bars in London .
On saturday we went christmas gift shopping and I got a blister on my right heel from all the walking, the shoes I wore hadn't been used in a long time and for a while they really felt like a pain in the ass so I figured I'd better get some relief for it and get to a Boots store ASAP to get some Compeed on it. I went to Boots at Harrod's, sat down there and took a Compeed plaster on the heel and it felt good to not worry about the blister for the rest of the weekend. After walking around in stores getting gifts for different family members, we first went to a cozy bar where they also served food so we decided to eat there and I had chicken and fries and the chicken and its sauce was the best I had ever tasted in my whole life! We then went to the hotel to chill out a bit before deciding to go out later that night. We later went to the same first bar from the day before where we met a British friend of my brother's and had a few beers with him before he had to leave to deal with personal business. I got to drink some bitter lemon vodka and let's just say that those few glasses of vodka didn't stop my drinking for the rest of the night lmao! We then went to another nightclub which was small and intimate but it had floor-to-ceiling mirrors in the end of the room which made the club seem a lot bigger than it actually was and it made for a very neat illusion. We danced and drank and later my brother took us to a casino (he loves playing casino!) but I wasn't allowed to enter because I didn't have my passport or a driver's lisence with me, a rule my brother and I thought was extremely lame. We kept arguing with the staff until a real bitch of a staff member told us "Hey, we've talked about this for five minutes, the rules are not gonna change!" and we couldn't believe her bitchy attitude but decided to end the discussion to avoid more drama. I didn't wanna stop my brother from enjoying himself so I told him it was fine with me for him to enter the casino and I felt kinda tired anyway, so I felt ok about going to the hotel to get some sleep.  My brother's friend had taken off with a girl he met at the club and we didn't see him for hours until far into the next day but I mostly wanted to sleep. I got to the hotel by showing the taxi driver a note from the hotel with its name and driving direction on it and just went straight to bed the minute I got inside.
I had a terrible head pounding the next day (is there anything else to expect after a night out with all that drinking? LMAO) but I figured some fresh air would help me get better so my brother and I went to eat breakfast at a restaurant where they only sell organic food made from scratch and it's right next door to the Jack's bar too. It felt good getting some food and it didn't take long until I felt much better.
I have always wanted to take the London Eye and been jealous of people getting to experience it so I knew I had to try it now during our stay in London so during this hangover sunday where I gradually got better, I decided I wanted to go to the London Eye while my brother would to to a football match (soccer for US readers) with his friend, which was their main point of going to London this weekend. I grabbed a taxi telling him to take me to the Eye and when I got there, I just looked up on that huuuuuuge wheel and got really excited to go for a ride on it. Passengers were shown a 3D movie about the London Eye before we could enter it, but 3D movies are pointless for me seeing as I can't see 3D due to poor vision on my left eye. But it was still pretty cool and I could kind of see effects of birds flying seemingly almost out of the the screen and when a girl in the movie blew soap bubbles, thousands of bubbles came into the room so that was pretty neat. The ride itself on the Eye was awesome, we got an amazing view of London during the 21 minute ride (it goes super slow but makes it even more enjoyable) and made for an unforgettable experience.
After riding the Eye I went souvenir shopping like the real tourist I was lol and ended up with some pretty sweet stuff such as magnets, t-shirts and other items that all had the british flag on them and/or illustrations of the London Eye. I then started wandering alone in London but I never feared getting lost seeing that I can speak English fluently and I could just ask anyone for directions or help if I got really lost so I was never really afraid I'd mess things up for myself all alone in this big city, I just thought it was really exciting! I discovered that there were big maps placed around on different places in the city letting you see the direct spot you were at that time and showed roads nearby with 15 minute walks. After some wandering around, I got to Piccadilly Circus where I found a Sports Bar that my brother had been looking for with us the day before and given up looking for it but it turned out we had only been a mere ten meters from it so it was actually right nearby lol! We ate delicious burgers there and watched a game of handball between Norway and France on a tiny screen and much to our joy, Norway won! :)
On monday we got ready to leave for the airport and during check in where we were to scan our passport into some fancy high-tec machines, they wouldn't accept my name! It turned out the airline company already had registered my name as Didrick but my passport said Didrik so it wouldn't accept the slightly different spelling and I was basically denied travelling home but after some talks with the technical staff we were given the ok sign for me to pass and carry on through the airport. But now I gotta get a new passport where my name is spelled correctly so that mishaps like these won't happen again in the future! Kinda embarrassing lol.
My brother's friend had caught a cold so he constantly had to go to the bathroom to sneeze and my brother wasn't feeling too good either so I told them they'd better not have me get any of that stuff now right before Christmas Eve, I wanna stay well thank you lol! We got ready to board the plane and after two hours we were back home in Bergen and I could look back on a fun weekend with my brother and his friend but I also felt good about coming home to my own bed and my own privacy, which is something I always appreciate.
Now I'm about to wrap some presents for Christmas and pack my suitcase for the mountains tomorrow. Looking forward to a relaxing Christmas holiday up in our cabin at Ustaoset with family and friends and hopefully a fun New Year's Eve celebration up there as well.
Talk to y'all later! :)

Exciting weekend ahead...in London!
I will be going to London with my older brother and a friend of his this weekend and I can't wait to go!! I absolutely love London but I haven't been there in years (last time I was there must've been in 99 so that's a pretty long while ago lol...enough to give you major London withdrawals!) so it will be awesome to visit this amazing city again. My brother and his friend will go and see a soccer match on saturday (I think that's the day they're going) but I'm not too much of a soccer person so I'll spend the day in the city just exploring and also do some christmas shopping. I reckon I'll be fine on my own there and if I get lost, I can always ask people for directions seeing that I speak English flutently so that shouldn't be a problem for me.
I wonder what our hotel will be like and how we'll spend the other days there, hopefully our trip will be filled with lots of fun and good times spent in one of the greatest cities in the world. I will try not to spend too much on shopping but I do plan on getting some cool stuff from over there to take home. I have downloaded some London city guide apps for my iPhone, one of them having this voice telling me about places around me and stuff I should check out so I probably have to bring my earphones to use this app, might come in handy.
I'm so freaking excited about this trip, it will be the coolest weekend for me in a long time for sure! :)

Getting my blogging on again!
Alright...so I haven't blogged since the days of MySpace (who really uses that site anymore?) which is starting to be some good years ago. Been busy with getting studies on (even as messy as they are at the moment) and just trying to see wherever life will lead me. It's a crazy ride, but I'm definitely in for it!
You can look at this as the revived, revamped and continued version of my MySpace blog life, except it's not happening on MySpace anymore but stepping out and taking a life of its own, becoming a full fledged blog on its own two feet ready for you all to read. And the cool thing is that Tumblr has an iPhone app, which means I can blog on the go, which means even more frequent blogging here than I did on MySpace so that's definitely a big plus to this blogging service!
Haven't got much else to say right now really, just wanted to officially declare my Tumblr blog as up and running so feel free to follow and comment if you wish and...I might follow you back too!
Now it's off to bed and getting some much needed sleep...later peeps! :)
