[Image ID: The Dice Crow herself sits behind a variety of dice sets in a collection of bags, bins, and boxes. You can see her living room in the background. Her hands are out in a “ta-dah” gesture as she smiles at the camera./.EndID] It's two months late but!! Updated hoard shot! Four 15 quart storage bins fairly full, with a variety of other bags and storage materials. It’s honestly to the point where it’d be hard to do a full shot with everything separated out so we’re just in bins at this point.
Happy May!
[Image ID: There are five photos. The first is of two pride flag colored dice, Ace and Bi, and another halfsies set that is grey and blue. The second photo is a variety of multicolored dice sets in a pile. To the top right are a pile of small d6s. The last three photos are the dice hoard and accessories as of March 2021. First is a large pile of all the dice and accessories. Second is four piles, one of which is miniature dice. Third are the rest of the dice in a variety of piles and groups. In the last three, you can see the dice crow’s leg and hands/.End ID]
How the hoard has grown through the years. Top is 2019, then 2020, and the last three are 2021. I’ll be doing another hoard collection photo in March so be on the lookout!

Note
how do you afford all these dice??? what's your hustle???
Honestly? A lot of them come from kickstarters which have discounts on prices, and most of my Chessex sets come from a local comics shop with a markup of about 4 or 5 cents per set. I've also been building my collection for almost two years now, so the cost is spread over a larger amount of time. And maybe it helps a little bit that I live with my parents and don't have to pay rent currently...
I do eventually want to get into making my own, but I don't know if that will be the kind of thing where I sell them/do commissions or if it would be a just-for-me (and my friends) kind of thing.

Welcome to the Dice Hoard
Hi there! I’m Cal, affectionately known to my friends as The Dice Crow! A couple of things you should know: - She/They pronouns - Mid 20s - I currently have over 100 sets of dice, including Acrylic, Resin, Metal, and Glass sets, as well as a variety of individual pieces! - All of my photos are taken by my wonderful partner of many years, @fluffmonger! He takes and edits all the photos that get uploaded here!
Why Dice? Right before the start of the Pandemic, I started getting really into Dungeons and Dragons. I was making lots of characters just for the fun of it, and also was looking forward to going and playing at local events. I started with just one set, and went from there! Slowly, over the last few years, my collection has grown to contain over 1000 individual dice between single dice, 7 piece sets, 11 piece sets, and even a couple other interesting numbers! Why Share? Everyone needs a bright spot in their life! Dice is mine, and I want to share the love of them with everyone! It’s also nice to have an easy access photo reference for sets to go along with my ever-growing catalogue of dice! Favorite sets? It’s really hard to choose a favorite, but I am especially fond of my Moonlight Sonata set from Gate Keeper Games -- They were the first dice I ever bought!
Any other questions? The Ask Box is open!
