would the tbhx characters still be heroes in this AU? would they keep their powers? is there still a trust value system? idk.

I was wondering about if X is the only one with a legendary/mythical but then I thought about drawing Moon with Hoopa

instead, to distinguish X as special, he's got a shiny Victini, which has never been distributed and is only possible to obtain by hacking. It also happens to match his color scheme perfectly!!

He uses premier balls for his team to match his color scheme and because they look cool you get them FREE with a purchase of 10 pokéballs!

Two reasons why his other pokémon is Pidove:

1. Pidove is a common pokémon for common people, which matches with his salaryman alter ego. fun fact that I found on serebii: Pidove spawn in the Castelia City park, and there is exactly one clerk in the city who will battle you with a Pidove.

2. bird theory

If I do more, I was wondering if I should assign everybody a legendary. I'm also super super biased so I immediately wanted to stick Reshiram to X because Reshiram's my favorite legendary and happens to be white.

To be fair to myself though, it might work because Reshiram is the Truth and X is described as "seeing the truth of the world". Plus, if X wants to change the system then he might align with Reshiram who helps those who want to build a world of truth.

again, I'm extremely biased towards Unova. A disproportionate amount of my favs are from Unova. I was thinking Queen with Cobalion?

if I do end up doing the 1 legendary or mythical/character idea then I think E-Soul would either have Regieleki (fast electricity) or Genesect (old thing with gun)

sooo im getting back into drawing things that arent for artfight yayyyy! so here's my tbhx oc (Skyline) with some pokemon i like - Skarmory and a shiny Umbreon!

YES a shiny umbreon is unrealistic but i hadddd to... it matches the aesthetic do you seeee itttt. and shiny umbreon is my favorite pokemon :D it's the one I would most want to have if pokemon were real!!

maybe they dropped their first paycheck on a shiny eevee who knows

and skarmory because... I mean duh. look at it its a big metal bird

Skyline likes to feed the local Pidove. Dang, there sure are a lot of Pidove in this city...

maybe the umbreon rides on the skarmory's back sometimes that sounds cute

also just for fun this shiny gold star umbreon is my dream pokemon card but im pretty sure its like thousands of dollars so. I will keep dreaming

I imagine that in a pokemon + tbhx world Skarmory and Umbreon are essentially Skyline's spotters for if things go wrong. Skarmory's strong enough to just kind of yoink Skyline and fly away.

coincidentally these two pokemon are known for being very good defensively in competitive! but in lore, Skarmory is very offensive and slice-y. personality wise both of their mons are very chill.

little rant about tbhx tumblr fandom/asks

I don't mean to make any trouble but I did promise myself not to self censor on mty tumblr and this is genuinely a little weird to me.

I won't mention the exact posts that spurred this (although it's probably obvious), but I have seen multiple anon asks constantly asking for drawings of “anime style tbhx” or "draw __ but copy the official style of the show" to multiple creators now and they always sound a little bit off. sometimes there are things that could be compliments sprinkled in, like calling the art cute, but something about this phrasing makes it seem demanding or criticizing? maybe it's not intentionally worded like this but I would like to say it definitely comes off a little heavy-handed. This is in part because the anon in question often follows up asking for another drawing because the last drawing 'wasn't anime-styled at all, try again' or something along those lines criticizing the ways in which it was not to their imagining. I suspect it's the same person for all of them. I would beware because it for one feels rude and for another reads almost like a person prompting AI to adjust things but like. instead treating a real living breathing artist who puts in work this way. especially when asking for a obviously high-quality drawing. The way that there is always a follow-up ask for more art makes me feel as if the person is fishing for a user who is willing to draw them free art. ofc if its just an excuse to draw more and the artists who've gotten these asks don't mind it's no trouble! but I can't help but feel concerned since I've seen multiple creators answer "asks" phrased this way. I'd love to have some discussion about this too if anyone would like/ has also noticed this.
