COVID 19: March 9 2020
Recently, Covid-19 began extending over the world, and people's daily lives have altered rapidly. As a result, it has been agreed that some harsh measures should be implemented for the benefit of humanity. These policies, however, have enraged the entire world's population.
Due to the obvious pandemic, our lives have become complicated. There have been numerous changes, including the closure of face-to-face classes and other enterprises. But things have become a lot easier, though, with the development of technology and online learning platforms. This covid-19 has really affected people's health.
Some people are still stubborn and are unaware of the COVID-19 virus's risk. For that reason, the number of cases in our country and adjacent countries is increasing. The ongoing rise in the number of COVID cases is due to people who did not follow the rules and regulations. Furthermore, other impoverished countries lack sufficient medical support. As a result, someone dies every day due to a lack of healthcare facilitation for people infected with the COVID-19 virus.
Our health is really important, which is why, for our own sake and the sake of others, we must persevere through this auspicious time with a positive attitude. Although it may appear that you are having a terrible time since you are unable to go out and do whatever you want, every opportunity is available to you; what matters is how you manage them.
Finally, taking everything into consideration, we can win this battle against viruses. All we have to do now is protect ourselves and be more alert of those around us. Covid-19 is dangerous, but it can be cured. If you are in close proximity to someone who has COVID-19, you can become infected at any time and in any location. To avoid the transmission of the COVID-19 virus, people must be particularly cautious.

The the Youth of Barangay Batasan Hills Involvement in the Elections 2022
As young voters, It is important for us to be engaged in the elections. Given that a social media platform can be a source of official information regarding the national and local elections, we want to learn more about the candidates' traits and who we would vote for.
This new generation has the ability to drastically influence election outcomes. Initiatives that encourage young people to participate can help them expand their reach. Youth should be consulted during the formulation of party platforms, and leaders should seek their advice on ways of reaching out to their peers.
Youth are becoming increasingly hesitant to join in politics and express their rights. The freedom to vote is particularly problematic and represents a threat to democracy. As a result, it is critical to reversing this trend and re-engaging youth in the political and democratic processes.
As we face this pandemic, the youth should be more conscious of what is going on, particularly in terms of politics. This year, 2022, will be the most momentous election in history. It's incredible to see young people actively engaged in the campaigns of their preferred politicians. They are supporting and speaking out in order to draw the attention of their peers to join in intriguing debates about current concerns in Philippine politics. As a result, young people will have a better understanding of their environment and will feel more responsible for taking action. Because if we don't take action, they will treat us as if we don't have the right to vote for who deserves to be the next president.
I’m encouraging my fellow young people to make wise decisions in all of their endeavors. I know we all want a brighter future for our country, so we must use our power to decide for the life that we want for ourselves and future generations. This is our opportunity to speak up and make things better.

Kevin's Testimonial Piece
I am Kevin Patrick Rama, 19 years old and a grade 12 student in Batasan Hills National High School. I just want to share with you my experiences and thoughts as a first time voter during this 2022 national and local elections. But first I should start with how I became a registered voter, what happened the day I registered and when it was. When I first thought about registering to vote, I was not taking it seriously and thinking that if I go to the place where you fill up the forms to become a voter I will get tired. But it changed when I realized that every one (1) vote is very important for our country so even though the line is too long I preserved. I got starved on that day because if you left your line you'll need to go back at the back so I endured that to become a registered voter. Estimated time I was in the line was eight (8) hrs. That was on September 13, 2021 Monday that was also the starting of our online class in grade 12.
I am one of those six (6) million new registered voters in the Philippines so I don't want to waste my one (1) vote because it is important to study and research all of the candidates in every position even in local elections. What I have noticed is some of us are not taking it seriously; they are just wasting their vote. The strategy I use to decide who I am voting for is to hear who they want to vote for this position and research about that person. If he is suited for the position I'll vote for him/her but if not probably change the person I'll vote. My experiences voting on election day is good since I didn't take any longer to wait to vote. I was very disappointed in the result. I think I don't need to explain why everyone was disappointed.

“Why is it important for the youth of Barangay Batasan Hills to be involved in the 2022 national and local elections?”
When young people, or rather us, are excluded from political processes, a substantial percentage of the Batasan Hills population has little or no say in decisions that affect their life. The representativeness of political systems is weakened as a result.
Our youth must be involved in formal political processes and have a role in shaping today's and tomorrow's politics in order to make a long-term change. Inclusive political involvement is not only a basic political and democratic right, but it is also essential for the development of stable and peaceful communities and policies that address the demands of younger generations. We should be informed about their rights and given the required information and capacity to engage meaningfully at all levels in political institutions, processes, and decision-making, particularly during elections.
We will quickly feel disempowered if it becomes difficult for us to engage in official, institutionalized political procedures. Many of us think that our voices will not be heard, or that if they are, they will not be taken seriously. The problem becomes circular when politicians lose interest in responding to our wishes if they are unable to get our votes. As a result, despite their sensitivity to demands for social equality and justice, environmental conservation, and cultural diversity, we are increasingly excluded from decision-making and debates concerning major socioeconomic and political issues.
As a result, it is critical for our youth to engage in or be active in all of the platforms of anybody running for a position in Batasan Hills. We used to search for or identify the person running for office in our barangay to see whether she or he could protect us from all undesirable activities. That is why we must first determine whether we are benefiting from all of the platforms she has built.

Kulay Rosas Ang Bukas: A Review on VP Leni Robredo's Campaign Advertisement
Written or visual statements targeted to promoting a single product, service, or campaign are known as advertisements. Businesses and or groups can pay for this message to be aired on a channel or platform that targets a comparable audience. In this case the voters.
Two of the biggest challenges in advertising are measuring the value of the advertisement and ensuring it resonates with the right people, and that is exactly what VP Leni Robredo’s campaign ads represent. The latest advertisement of the Vice President showed her embracing a child with a campaign tagline: “Gobyernong Tapat, Angat Buhay Lahat” as the video shows the gloomy state of the country during the pandemic and she emerges as the honest, and caring leader the Filipino people desires, the advertisements show and promote her as a leader in tune with her people’s needs, a candidate with no ill-record and is quick to respond during times of crisis.
In the video she states that: “Sabay sabay nating tuparin ang ating mga pangarap upang maging kulay rosas ang ating bukas.” Together with the pink roses as her backdrop. After the campaign ad a widespread of the term “kakampink” were used to label Robredo’s supporters. Despite the official campaign ads. The VP’s supporters were also active in posting and promoting their candidate of choice creating a spurt of advertisements.
The VP’s advertisements as well as her clean record and achievements surely captured the hearts of the Filipino people. Despite the low budget and limited mandate of the OVP, Robredo found ways to continuously help and support those in need. At the end of the video she states that she wishes to achieve great things together with the Filipino people and will be setting goals and steps to achieve these. She then proceeds to use the quote “kulay rosas ang bukas”

Millennials and Gen Z as The 2022 Philippine Election's "Game Changers"
The youth of today, often referred to as the Millennials and Gen Z are all qualifying voters for the 2022 Philippine elections, majority of whom are registered and are able to cast their vote and choice of candidates for the Philippine government.
As the said 2022 elections approach, social media has been on the rise, countless of different articles, news, and opinions are being posted on thousands of feeds pages and platforms. Now what role does the youth of today play in this event?  According to the Comelec, there were 7 million newly registered voters and that is a “big deal” however, these are all tech-savvy teens that can easily be influenced by what the media provides and who knows what sorts of right and wrong information they consume, this being said, the excuse of not knowing the candidates is and won’t be enough of a valid reason not to vote. In fact, it may be more difficult to avoid daily political news than to subscribe to it.
The youth can be extremely influential to the country, given the count of this year’s registered voters, which is why the saying vote wisely should be applied.
Depending on the elected candidates, the youth will most likely be affected by the choices made according to the new government’s platforms. Youth voters who want to inspire change need to show their support for the candidates whom they feel best represent their needs. So much that the millennial electorate is expected to be the first demographic group to challenge the two-party system, potentially necessitating the formation of alternative political parties that millennials believe can better represent the needs of a diverse population through a more inclusive agenda.
While you can't anticipate who or where you'll be in six years, you can be confident that the elected officials and policies they adopt will have an impact on your life in the months and years ahead. To safeguard your interests in your first few years in the real world, speak up, make a decision, and vote.

Presidential aspirant Vice President Mrs. Leni Robredo has tightly hugged a child in her advertisement for her campaign tagline “Sa Gobyernong Tapat, Angat Buhay Lahat” and it is translated to English as “Honest Government, a Better Life for All.”
In the video posted in social media, the campaign advertisement encapsulates Leni Robredo’s aspirations for our country which is the Philippines if she would have the chance to be elected as our next president. “Why is it important for the youth of Barangay Batasan Hills to be involved in the 2022 national and local elections?”
It is always said that “The youth is the future of our country, and youth will lead the change.” and I always believe in that quote. This year’s election proves that the youth has the freedom and voice to chose and to show their full support to their chosen candidates despite the threat of the COVID-19 they have stood up for their preferred candidacies.
Our country’s law implicit that it is not require for all the citizens to vote, it is acquiescent or self-willed to register to vote for the upcoming national and local election, but voting is important to our country since it is part of democracy. Citizens vote for leaders to represent them and their ideas, and the leaders will support the citizen’s interests. In democracy country, political campaigns often refer to electoral campaigns, by which representatives are chosen or referendums are decided.
By voting, the citizens has willingness to vote and participating because our country is established in a democratic process, wherein the registered voters will choose their preferred candidates.
It helps to make the process transparent and forces the representatives to work for the welfare of the national and local candidates.
In every national and local’s elections, the Filipino hope that it will give our country a good shift towards progress and development, it is the reason why our votes are important because without it we wouldn’t be able to choose the candidates who will run the government, it also provides immense power to assess the quality of the work carried out by the candidates to select our best choice, in terms of selecting the candidates for our society to develop the best nation in the entire world.

Voting
Voting in every elections is really important, First of all every vote counts, your vote may give a big difference in your country or nation. Do not easily vote just because you’ve heard it, remember vote wisely. As for me, after you registered to vote start researching those candidates that’s running in each role, like President, Vice – president, secretary and so on and so forth. Don’t vote for specific candidate just because many people want to win this candidate, you must learn how to research their backgrounds and government connections and their help for the nation by that you may have your own knowledge on each specific candidates. I am currently not a registered voter owing to age issues, but I choose to create this form of narrative to share my knowledge of the election that occurred last week.
A lot of people is doing rallies because their candidate didn’t won for me it’s normal to have a rally especially if it is for your own sake and for your future, but remember that doing rallies is not easy you must have a letter or anything that proves that your group is allowed to do a rallies or else you may end up in prison. About the campaigns, since I’m not a registered voter owing to age issues, I didn’t attend any campaign or rallies just to support my specific candidate if I am a registered voter.
Additional, For me in the event that your candidate didn't won, then I figure it out that you should acknowledge it, our country concluded this kind of political race which is by casting a ballot to realize who is the ideal president and other different roles for this country the more votes you get the more possibilities you win, on the off chance that your candidate didn't won then you should acknowledge, why? Since you are not by any means the only Filipinos who needs an awesome country, your choice isn't the main choice that we really want to accept for, some Filipinos accept that this candidate might get distinction to their nation that is the reason a large numbers of them vote in favor of this competitor.

“Why is it important for the youth of barangay Batasan hills to be involved in the 2022 national and local elections"
As a youth of Barangay Batasan Hills Quezon City, is it important that we involved ourselves in 2022 local and national elections, Because we are part of this nation or country we have the rights to choose our future leader to our future self, and also choosing our leader must contain a leadership or in other words the leader that we must choose is in able to control or to solved the present challenges that our country facing which is the Philippines. As a youth, you must not vote easily because you only heard it, yet; you must have a little research or background check to those leaders that are running for the greatest leader or the highest leader of our country which is the President of the Republic Philippines.
As a youth if our family are in a hard time in choosing their president then help them to chose, tell them each running for president their background tell them that don’t vote easily because many people is believing in them, tell to your family members that vote wisely each candidates have it’s different background and tell them that being a President of this Republic country is not easy you must have a little knowledge about what are the major and minor, external and internal, local and national problems of the country which is the Philippines, and also as the next President you must show to your fellow Nation that you are not afraid facing those challenges even though it’s hard to think a leader must attained educational background with these it may help them to know the common problems that the country faces.
Again, as youth vote wisely and don’t believe in others saying and it’s more better if you get some background check yourself to those candidates to ensure your future President is good and it can help to solve the country challenges facing and can bring happiness and joy to our beloved nation which is the Philippines.

Bistek! : A Review on Herbert Bautista's Campaign Advertisement
youtube
