"one law for the lion & ox is opression"
this is a line by William Blake.
I usually avoid others vision of art and make my own based on the knowledge i have of the artist at the time, and obviously my own social & political alignments.
so, this phrase here, to me, means only that the law cannot be fair, cannot do justice and equality because the economical situation of society it's not proportional. Everybody knows that the Lion simbolizes a King, but the Ox...? I'm not sure.
the fact that William Blake lived and died in misery reinforces my argument. what do u think?
this is one of the most beautiful, saddest, innocent & joyful books i've ever read in my life, and the fact that the way i learned of Blake was by playing Devil May Cry 5 (the book of Urizen) it's kinda iconic Knowing that i've grown with DMC.
innocence & experience, maybe.

so, i was walking around on paulista avenue in SP, and this couple was selling various books. First off, i saw a hardcover of horror tales by Edgar Allan Poe, and right by the side of it, i found this. So, this is also a hardcover, but the funny and curious thing about it, it's the old owner. "Cecilia Santos". She wrote on the book in 1984, exactly one year after the publishing of it in London... Cecilia is a common name in Brazil, and it's not unlikely that she was there and was probably nervous after buying the book judging by the mistake on her own name. But, at the same time, this book could be bough at the same year of its publishing, came to Brazil and then was gave to her. The most curious question for me is...why did she abandon the book? and how it survived 37 years?
i hope Cecilia is doing well, wherever she is.

being online and why i kinda dislike it
for the past months (or years), i've been managing to avoid the recently nominated "metaverse" of the internet. i like being online to see funny stuff, to watch videos essays, discover music, books, culture in general, but for some reason i have the urge to just display photos of me online. i don't like that, but sometimes i just can't help but do it, and basically regret it a few minutes later (i discard all photos of my instagram every few months for example). the thing is, although i dislike showing off my face on the net, i like showing off my face on the net....kinda. i could use a few more arguments that say "ooh this generations it's fucked up because of the beauty standards, and number of followers influence more in our lives than we actually care to say about", but not only would be simple and obvious, it would be boring.
so instead, in the age of "views", "likes", "tweets" and "retweets" , i argue that the problem is that i'm just insignificant.
not to talk shit on myself, oh i don't need that i was the shortest kid on school, but it basically narrows down to that. i'm no important but at the same time i few the urge to show my face on the net as much and the new hot artist everyone talks about nowadays. so to conclude, i feel this way about the internet because it makes me feel like i could be someone, but at the same time it needs to suck my life and joy of things for me to accomplish that. i need to delete a photo on my ig asap.

So, yeah. This is in front of my house, in São Paulo. The city is worldwide known as “stone jungle”, because of all the grey and lifeless buildings in it. When we found colors like this one, it really sticks out. You can find a variety of Graffitti art in the city too, but that usually is hidden underneath the layers upon layers of grey paint that governors insist to paint the city with. This is my first post on this blog, I hope however comes across this like and save these photos maybe, that would be fun. Happy sunday.
