As we see a barrage of evil executive orders come in, they are not immediately enforceable and will takes months or years to implement.
That’s still not great, but don’t let these pile up to the point of hopelessness. Take a breath, and look community leaders who will fight it every step of the way.

If I tell you this is a horror dance number it still won't prepare you. That last move was so terrifying even the judge was like "Let go! Let go!" If you told me they're actually possessed I'd believe you.
One of the most perfectly choreographed and executed dances I have ever seen and comes closest to Shobana's original performance in Manichitrathazhu. Incredible!

I think it's cute how so many art movements are simply called "new art" to differentiate "not like the old stuff". Contemporary dance. New wave fashion. Pop (literally popular) music. Art Nouveau. Modernism. Postmodernism. Even terms starting with neo- (neo-classicism, neo-expressionism) all are just saying NEW ART. And yet all of these things are now distinctive styles of the past. It's kind of beautiful how humanity never stops outgrowing itself. Art is a state of matter that refuses to sit still, old as soon as it is new, original upon its thousandth performance, new forever so long as there is someone who has not yet seen it, and old the second the artist picks up their instrument again.

He sounds so like my mum it's uncanny. Not really that surprising, considering they grew up in neighbouring villages.

when I look at western media depictions of Chinese things I always look for gay lions
so lion statues have a male and female lion pair, male lions have a ball to play with and lionesses have a little baby to take care of (lion patriarchy)
Lot of westerners don't know this so they accidentally draw Gay Lions
look at them. love wins

"The storyline of someone slowly realizing they're queer as they fall in love with a formerly-platonic friend is an important one that resonates with a lot of people" and "It makes me, an aroace person, uncomfortable when fans of a work insist that a self-professed straight character MUST be falling in love with their platonic same-sex friend because of COURSE a friendship could never be as fulfilling or as important as a romance so why would they be showing us all these intimate scenes if we weren't meant to assume they were romantic?" are two concepts that unfortunately must coexist

If safety in your ideal society is entirely based on care by networks of affinity, and does not provide care for people who are not liked by anybody, then your society is actually even worse than the situation we are in now.
Pissing off people close to you or over-exhausting your social network or isolating yourself is often an inherent part of many mental health problems, addictions, etc. By the time people need care the most, they have often lost all their networks of affinity, and with some bad luck, any of us could find ourselves in that situation.
There has to be unconditional care available for the more unlikable of us, or there isn't really a safety net for any of us.
