I was thinking the other day abt how a season 4 of NBC Hannibal would be able to play out and I've come to a conclusion. ✨️Clarice✨️

She was younger than will and hannibal in her first appearance so like... imagine our little timeskip, a few years after The Fall, Jack is still running the Behavioral Science Unit, and sees Clarice, the spitting image of abigail, as a perfect way to draw them out.

There's no real proof that Will and Hannibal are even alive, but Jack obsessively hunts down every single copycat. Thanks to TattleCrime, everyone knows what went down, and their story inspires DOZENS of murders across America.

Jack assigns Clarice to their case, hoping that one of these copies will be the real thing, and if they see her they'll slip up. She runs all over America and parts of Europe searching for them, basically going through the same moral dilemma Will did, but without hannibal to guide her. She's tweaking, but doing her best to stay on track despite the fact that she seems to be going in circles

Eventually she realizes that not only are they still alive, but they've leading her on a wild goose chase, and always staying 10 steps ahead. In the end, just before she loses her shit, they confront her with metaphorical adoption papers (basically the same promise hannibal made to will, to teach her to embrace her dark side and offer support through the struggle) and it ends on a cliffhanger boom season 4

The survivors of their old acquaintances are all a part of the search, and there's a whole sub plot about Molly helping clarice find clues, but Molly's also lowkey tweaking abt the whole thing even years later so it doesn't get very far. Also who do yall think should play Clarice

What's really interesting to me about the dynamics in the straw hat crew is that Zoro is the 1st mate right? Except not really. He's only 1st by word alone, but everyone defers to Nami when they need to make an important decision. If luffy isn't there, even if Zoro is, they all follow Nami instead. She's the most responsible person on the crew, and even the older members put more trust in her for their safety than with Zoro. This isn't zoro hate btw I just think it's funny that despite having the title, in the instance that something happened to luffy Nami would almost definitely be the one taking charge
