This is based on an RP my brother and I did, where Casimir is asked to assassinate Adam but ends up backing out, realizing he still has people in his life who would miss him... Or at least people he's trying to get back to; he isn't going to stoop to Adams' level after all. That's all I have the energy to write about that, but if enough people ask, I'll provide a better synopsis later ahaha!! (Youtube link below cut!!)

UWAHGHGFJDKHGJKDFJK YAYYYY GRAGH. I'VE BEEN WORKING A TON RECENTLY SO I HAVENT HAD TIME TO POST THIS IS ACTUALLY AMAZING THANK YOU. OKAY UHMM. THIS IS LESS OF GUSHING MORE INFODUMPING BUT THEN AGAIN THAT WILL PROBABLY LEAD INTO GUSHING.

SO many people see Adam's stubbornness and egoism as his biggest flaw, and while I agree that it CAN be a flaw, its also something thats rooted in his character with reasons behind it that can also be one of my favorite things about him!! With how stubborn he is, he rarely tends to back down when he starts walking up a steep hill, if he thinks its the right thing to do, for one reason or another, he'll keep trudging up without stepping down even when it becomes increasingly clear its wrong. He's so sure of himself cause SO many people have let him down, so who else can he trust?

Though.. along with his stubbornness is something beautiful, watching him defend something he believes in with an iron fist.. especially when he ends up actually being right is amazing. It can lead to him being protective, hard headed, and trying to carry everything on his back. Despite his egoism getting.. a little heavy sometimes, its mostly a learned defense mechanism-- While it comes naturally to him now, it means he can stick up for himself easier, along with others he cares about. Its amazing how traits people would usually look down upon can be so.. beautiful.

I wish we got to see more moments like this in season one in hazbin, cause there are moments where you can see his humanity, his fragility, and who he is. A moment I dont see people talk about enough is in the episode where Charlie and Vaggie go up to heaven, where he's talking about the reason -he- got into heaven.. you can see him falter, his -clear- self doubt that so many people looked over just cause it was one moment!! "Uh.. yeah! Sure got me here, didnt it?? Right.... Sera....?" ITS SO SAD HOW MANY PEOPLE LOOK OVER THAT LINE!!! THERES SO MUCH MEANING BEHIND IT!! He deserves someone willing to look deeper than the walls he puts up and help him work past them, and I'm glad to be that for him. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH GHRHGRAGH.

TO MAKE UP FOR MY LACK OF EXISTINGGGGGG............... I offer up this <3

(TRANSCRIPTION OF THE RAMBLE ITSELF UNDER THE CUT)

I could honestly ramble about how misunderstood Adam is for HOURS!! So many people chalk him down to the villain, a narcissist self centered misogynist— but OHHHH MY GOD THERE IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!!! I did research into the Bible which he’s obviously based on (being the first man, even while plot elements are changed for the story of hazbin-) and there’s SO MUCH! Taking the context of the Bible + MIXING it with the hazbin lore makes everything SO much more messed up and shows you the reason he acts how he does!!! From context clues we get in the show, it shows that he feels as he as the obligation to act how everyone expects him to, right? So we see him being loud, boisterous, he tries to be someone who feels worthy of being looked up to, even if he goes wrong in many areas.. but all of these behaviors, trying to act better than everyone? They STEM from somewhere!! All the way back to Eden and the story with the apple— even before that! With Lilith and being abandoned for Lucifer. Him and Eve took the apple out of curiosity, out of wanting to know more… not to mention, the apple was made to look appealing! To be tempting, it was something setting them up to fail.. the apple was put in the center of Eden EVEN when god could’ve hidden it away where no one would ever find it.. but he didn’t, he put it in reach, as a “test”, but it was BOUND to fail!

And then, the harsh punishments given for that ONE failure, that ONE mistake??? It would OBVIOUSLY give the impression that he HAD to be perfect! That he wasn’t allowed to make mistakes! So, of course that would lead to his behavior. And his inherent distrusting and disdain for sinners OBVIOUSLY comes from Lucifer! He’s never been given a reason to trust them, and the only person who tried to change that? WAS A SINNER!! Who was the daughter of the man he despises!!! Sera enables his behavior, Lute does, EVERYONE DOES!! So how can he know he’s doing more harm than good? He thinks he’s doing something heroic! And he’s taking joy from it cause he thinks it’s the right thing to do, the same way when you win an argument, you get this feeling of being good enough? THATS what he strives for from the exterminations! It doesn’t make the killing right? But it gives a damn good explanation, especially considering everyone in heaven treats him like a trophy rather than a person! He has so much built up insecurity that he feels like he has to prove himself to heaven, prove himself to his GOD, and no one ever even tried to help him other than the people he despised. THATS SO MESSED UP! That’s why I made Eloa, cause he deserves to have someone willing to help him!!

The whole thing about Eloa is that they have similar self consciousness! Just potrayed in a different way, I wrote Eloa to have similarities to Adam, so he would feel safer opening up. They fear not being good enough, so instead of being boisterous and loud like him, they’re a people pleaser, a pushover, they have different personalities when talking to different people.. so, when he sees them trying to change themselves for other people? He recognizes that pattern, cause that was he did so long ago to the point of him forgetting who he was.. he didn’t want Eloa to have that same fate, so he makes sure that they know they’re PERFECT the way they are. Self loathing meets Egoist, they balance eachother out while having similarities that bring eachother together!

💚 The calm after the storm 💙 { a Jadebone fanfic }

I had the project to create a story about these two in mind for a really long time , but I could never find the courage to post anything about it until now : I figured it would be nice to do something a bit different from my silly drawings , and plus I’m just very curious to see how others would react to this kind of thing :D ❣️

With all that said , hopefully it turned out okay !

Jaw Bone’s grin widened as he heard Jade laugh in response , a sound that he was always more than eager to hear .

It had been quite a busy day for the skeleton and his crew , filled with the usual hunts for treasure in the Quarantine Zone and intense battles against the L.A.W ships trying to send them away , and as much as he enjoyed both of those things there had been a certain tiredness seeping in his bones the more time went by … an emptiness that no amount of riches or victories could fill .

He just wanted to be alone for a bit with the one person who he felt the most at ease with , so he had immediately called Jade to meet up at her place like they did every time they weren’t busy doing their own thing .

Jaw Bone still didn’t know why , but being around her brought a sense of calmness to his mind that he found very pleasant : he knew that he could be himself without the fear of being treated like nothing more than a dangerous monster , and as he sat next to Jade on the couch of her living room he leaned his head back , releasing a relaxed sigh .

< Heh , wow … crazy how some rocks are all it takes to stop the so called “protectors of the universe” from doing their job , like … THAT’S embarrassing . >

Jade smiled , gently leaning her head on his shoulder .

< But then again , I doubt that any of those guys could stand a chance against you , JB . > 

Jaw Bone chuckled , his arm wrapping around her as he glanced in her direction with a smug expression .

< Sheesh babe , are you tryin’a flatter me now ? If you keep feeding my ego like this , who knows what’s gonna happen ? ~ > 

< Hah - as if you don’t like it when I flatter you ~ > , Jade replied , placing a kiss on his pale cheek . 

His eyes softened , and for a brief moment Jaw Bone the Plague Walker seemed like a completely different version of himself , nothing like the one that terrified L.A.W Agents and anyone unfortunate enough to be in his way …

He took a deep breath and held her against his chest , watching as Jade gladly snuggled closer with a content smile … the one that never failed to make him feel at peace , despite all the troubles and complications he had to face daily .

There was a time when he would’ve despised the mere idea of acting all “lovey-dovey” with somebody else : he had been hurt by trusting the wrong person before , and since then he had swore to never trust anyone aside from the Scythelords … though it seemed like that promise was short lived in the end .

< Hey , Jade … ? >

< Mm … ? What’s up , hon ? >

< I know we ain’t gonna be able to outrun those a*holes out there forever , so I just want you to know this . >

Jaw Bone gently lifted up her chin , his eyes locked with hers .

< No matter what happens … you’ll always be my greatest treasure , and there’s nothing in this universe that could ever change that . >

Jade remained quiet for a moment , fully taking in what he said before a loving smile illuminated her face . < JB … >

The skeleton sighed softly the moment her gloved hand brushed against his cheek , leaning into her touch while she spoke .

< I promise you , I am never gonna leave your side . You’re … everything I could’ve ever asked for , and if L.A.W wants to get you they’ll need to get through me first . >

A red spark briefly appeared in her eyes …

He grinned in response , kissing her palm before embracing her again .

Yeah … he was very aware of that : as much as she loved to plan and be prepared for anything at all times , Jade always seemed to lose her composure whenever his life was dangerously on the line , going berserk on anyone who had dared to harm her partner …

But while he admired her strength and determination , deep down Jaw Bone hoped that she would never end up getting hurt beyond repair in order to help him …

That one time when she had gotten badly wounded after getting caught by surprise by a bunch of L.A.W Agents was still engraved in his memory , and despite making sure that those Red Suits never got to breathe again the idea of losing Jade was enough to send a terrifying chill down to his every bone .

… it was no use to worry now , though :

Jade was there , she was right there with him … they were safe and sound , and Jaw Bone didn’t plan on letting her go anytime soon ❤️
