I think we should all aspire to have the work ethic of Brian Dietzen. The guy started as a guest star, not even on every episode, and basically just comic relief. Then he became a series regular with storylines that saw him marry and become a dad and have big emotional scenes. He stuck around as other stars left, and now he's onto a new beautiful love interest, writes scripts, and is arguably the heart of the show.
