So uhh it’s almost 4 in the morning but I ha e some shit for y’all
Here’s the fluffy shit first.
Basically, demons can see a fuck ton more colors than most creatures can. I’m not going to try to describe them because the feeble human mind cannot imagine new colors, which is fucking stupid. Step up your game.
Here’s the angsty shit
There is a certain sound frequency wayyy above that of a dog whistle which, when paired with a frequency of 7 Hz because fuck you, it will make the demon go apoplectic and murder everyone because not only does it hurt, but it also makes them physically unable to think. This is the frequency that also happens to be produced in their head when they are going into withdrawal.
#see? i can still use big words and be stupid#i should sleep#but i want to imagine more angst#its so fun

You can see my downwards spiral into me not giving a shit about this account just by looking at my earlier posts and then my newer ones and comparing how well written and “textbook”ish the entries were.
Aaaaaanyways, theres 2 variations of every pronoun in the demon language, 1 variation is used for referring to a basic demon or whatever other creature. The other variation is used specifically when referring to someone who you have a high amount of respect for, and using it for someone is basically saying that you see them as a god in a sense. A lot of demons think the variation should only be used for the most powerful deities, but most demons are chill with using it when referring to someone very very special to you personally. I have no idea if any real langauge does this so someone please inform me if I’m being offensive or not
There’s your fluff for today, because my dumbass brain can’t think of body horror right now :( but I do have an unfinished draft that I’ll continue writing once I feel up to it.

There is sort of an “extra stage” in the full transformation from human appearance to full demon appearance, which is also known as the “Strained stage”. It’s the last stage of the transformation, but it can only be reached under specific circumstances. More specifically, when a demon catches that extremely rare parasite I talked about in my previous post. If the host manages to fight its way into control, the parasite can fight back and accidently force the demon into the strained stage.
Considering the full hieght of most demon forms early in the demon’s “life” is four times the hieght of their human form, the surprising 6x size difference gives the “strained stage” its name. For example, a demon that is 5’8 in its human form will be 34’8 in its strained form. It can also reveal completely new features, but causes constant pain.
After the parasite dies and all symptoms are gone, the demon will be stuck in the Strained stage for a few extra days before slowly shifting back.

Demons all have neat little weapons that can summon. Okay, not little. Sometimes they’re big. Usually they’re big.

Every tens of thousands of years, a period of aggression in all humans and demons occurs, brought on by resurgences of rare highly infectious parasites. It’s nearly impossible for the host to avoid it, and it can turn the host in a matter of hours. Once the host is infected, their memories start being blacked out and the desire to hurt, torture, and murder is increased as time goes on. They attack anyone and anything once they loose control. However, they retain their personalities and can still speak and hold conversations as usual. They just don’t remember anything and WILL kill you if given the chance. However, this parasite can sometimes infect other creatures, supernatural or not. But it’s very unlikely. The only way to tell if a creature has the parasite is if their eyes are bloodshot. They will also sometimes foam at the mouth. The only times the parasite has surfaced was 150,000 years ago, and then once again 100,000 years ago. Both events lost to written history, but still very much real. However, the next outbreak seems to be long overdue.
About a week after an outbreak occurs, all of the parasites will die. The first symptom to fade out is the aggression, followed by the memory loss and then the bloodshot eyes and mouth foam. Once everything calms down, it is up to the demons to eradicate all memories and evidence of it ever happening on earth. However, that has been quite easy in the past since there was no written language the last two times.

When people die and become demons, certain personality traits are heightened to match whichever of the seven sins they fit most. Of course, demon can fit into more than 1 sin, and sometimes personality traits are straight up added to the demon’s personality. Demons of wrath are stubborn and get angry easily, demons of gluttony tend to over-indulge in things (not just food) and have a hard time practicing self-control, demons of sloth tend to sleep often and not want to do stuff (which sucks if they are also demons of wrath because of stubbornness), demons of lust tend to...ya know... etc. of course, that’s not all of what they are like, but I don’t feel like using my brain.

There is a special spell for demons to help them hold off withdrawals. However, doing so will make them larger and more like their full forms once the spell wears off. Repeated use over the course of weeks leads to a full withdrawal, which drags the demon into a rabid-like state before they transform and could possibly tear open the flesh of the demon during the transformation. Repeated use for months could lead to a withdrawal so bad that the demon’s body might kill itself off just because the amount of tension being put on it.
There are few occasions of a demon putting off a withdrawal for more than a week, but some demons are just too stubborn and hurt themselves and others.

When a person dies and becomes a demon, they get to make one wish before they are officially classified as a demon. Of course, the wish has limitations (no wishing for the world to end, no wishing to go to a new dimension, etc), but most things are allowed. However, not all of the wish can be fulfilled, so The Secretary must decide what can be done for the wish, and explain it to the demon. The catch? Whatever wish the demon makes will come true in ways that are not traditional nor expected. For example, If a demon wishes for their loved one to be safe from all harm, The Secretary will likely tell them that they can only make the loved one harder to kill and never die from old age. If the demon agrees with those terms, the wish is granted. However, the wish could be granted by some mysterious circumstance that causes that loved one to turn into some immortal mythical creature.

There are so many parallel universes, that each demon could have over 1 million. Fortunately, most demons only control 1. They have total power over each of the planets, creatures, and elements in their universe.

Demon’s horns (if they have them) grow longer over the years, except it’s a very very slow process. A demon with ram horns might only gain an extra 2 or 3 inches over the course of 1000 years.
