Anal plugs 101

Anal plugs are a great way to enjoy anal pleasure and to train your body for anal sex. I'm going to stay super basic with this post and tell you two main reasons why these plugs are good vs bad. Lots of different kinds of plugs to explore, but these are basic. The plug on the left is what's called a princess plug. It has a decorative end, usually with a pretty jewel. The base it not wide enough, however. The base on an anal plug should be wider than the widest point of the plug so it does not accidentally slip inside you. You may not think it will, but if you can get that first bit in, the end can definitely go in, too. This is also a metal plug, and while metal is not inherently wrong for use as a toy, you should only use medical grade metals and that's often hard to verify. The anus has a direct route to your bloodstream, so anything you put up there can very easily be absorbed. Please be careful with materials you stick up your butt, or cover them with a condom.

The second plug is by a company called Tantus. I love their products. This plug has a wide, curved base so not only is it safer to wear, it's more comfy because it hugs your body. I have this plug in purple and it's very comfortable. It's also made with body safe silicone. I give it 10/10.
