A heartfelt tribute to the “Nightingale of India”
Woke up to the devastating news of Lata didi’s passing away: sincerely wished it was a rumor but sadly it was not to be!!
Yesterday was Vasant Panchami. Vasant Panchami, also called Saraswati Puja in honor of the Hindu goddess Saraswati, is a festival that marks the preparation for the arrival of spring.
This festival is primarily celebrated in honour of Goddess Saraswati, who bestows the greatest wealth ever known to human, the wealth of knowledge.
It seemed that Maa Saraswati has taken back her most illustrious daughter with her on the day of her visarjan!! 🙏🏻🌹 You’ll forever remain in our hearts with your songs…💓✨
I feel really fortunate that I grew up listening to your songs and consider them as an intrinsic part of my life today!! Your voice and melodies will remain immortal…. 🎼🎵❤️ You will always be an inspiration for the world, forever.
Your legacy will inspire generations to come…💫
I would like to sign off with a line of her immortal song from the film Kinara : Naam Gum Jayega, Chehra yeh Badal jayga, Meri Aawaz hi Pehchaan hai….ॐ शांति 🙏🏻

Welcome New Year! 🥂
The year 2020 has been difficult for all of us in many ways. Living in the pandemic took a serious toll on our physical as well as mental health. Our social life was completely shut down and we were forced to cut off our links from the outside world to keep ourselves safe from getting infected. The year was different from others in many ways, but it taught us numerous important life lessons. We have indeed managed to sail through this year safely, but the fight against COVID is far from over. All we can hope for is that the coming year brings some respite and happiness.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought so many changes and challenges to our working lives that were all but impossible to foresee at the start of the year. It has changed the world of work. Across Asia and the world, workplaces and practices have had to adapt to halt the spread of the virus. For many millions of workers, this has meant working from home. Many others have continued to carry out their jobs under extremely trying conditions. It also made us realize our strengths and determination that we can excel in any situation.
Months after complaining about the dreadful year that brought the most unexpected and bizarre things like the coronavirus pandemic into our lives, this year has finally come to a close. The year 2020 has created an everlasting memory, but now it’s time to forget the worry of the past.
As we enter a new year, the welcome of 2021 won't be the same as in the past with grand celebrations and soirees but rather a quiet one with several restrictions being imposed around the world in view of the pandemic. Nevertheless, let's not lose hope yet, 2021 just might turn things around.
Many of us are away from friends and family but doesn't distance make the heart grow fonder? ❤️ It’s also time to reflect on our gratitude for the past and our hopes for the future. A new year symbolises a new beginning, full of opportunities, hopes and possibilities. It is the time of the year for new resolutions and pledges to achieve our goals.
All we can hope from this coming is to be kinder to humanity in more ways than one. It’s now time to renew hopes and pray for better times ahead.
I wish you to look forward to the upcoming year with confidence and courage, giving wings to your dreams! Live your life to the fullest extent, Happy New Year! 💫😊🦋

When I think of Death....
Do you believe in life after death?
As far as our human bodies are concerned, death eventually captures all of us. No human being has yet managed to live forever. Forever is too long for us to last as physical beings. On average more than 150,000 people die every day on this planet 🌍
The question of whether there is a life after death, and of what quality is that life is one of vital concern to us. Without a knowledge of eternal life we cannot possibly understand God's purpose in creating us, and without this we cannot grasp the nature of His Love, nor the nature of His will with us.
Everyone has dreams, some achieve and some fail....💫 Do we ever mention Die” on the to do list? But, we hope to achieve our Dreams ✨ not knowing when we will die? 😀
I knew someone from my neighbourhood who achieved so much in life, travelled USA 🇺🇸 for training, got married, bought her own house & was happy in her married life! She was my next door neighbour’s daughter. Perhaps, her mom was much happier than her as she would often discuss about her daughter’s achievements with the neighbours. We all were happy with her success! But, there is nothing more painful than the untimely death of someone young. This girl went for holidays with her husband to celebrate her Birthday 🎂 at their Pune farmhouse. Next day, her husband decided to drop her off at the bus station. Unfortunately, she lost balance and fell off from the bike. She died on the spot after being run over by water tanker. We were next door neighbours, studied in the same school, however our meetings happened only during festivals and Birthday celebrations. 🎉 I saw her last at my childhood friend’s marriage reception which was one day after her marriage. We smiled at each other. She looked happy and beautiful. I conveyed my best wishes for her married life. 💐
Sad memories are associated....with her tragic death! Birth anniversary is on 26th November & 27th November is her death anniversary. It’s been 14 yrs since she is gone, we were never good friends yet her accidental death is something that I have not forgotten. My heart 💔 sank at her funeral! May God bless her soul 🙏🏻🌷
At times, we also ask big questions after the death of our family member or close friend. We wonder how we are going to adjust to life without that significant person in our lives. However, life becomes normal and we move on....
So how comfortable do you feel with the idea that today might be your last day alive? What do we really know about what happens after death? Obviously what’s “reasonable” will differ a bit from person to person based on his/her context and beliefs. All your physical stuff stays here. If we can take anything with us after death then, it would have to be something non-physical in nature.
Many people believe in life after death due to religious teachings or personal experiences. Through the years there have been many philosophers that do not believe in life after death. There have been many different religions with many different views on the after life and what it entails.
Death is inevitable for all of us, the way we think about death is deeply individual and personal. We have always been fascinated with death and the idea of coming back to life. But is it really possible to come back from the dead? The subject of death and the afterlife has been the great question of human existence. It’s a subject that everyone wonders about.
1. What lies behind the veil of death?
2. Is there really life after death?
3. Is there a place called hell? 🤔
Every one of us is going to die someday, so there is no use in being afraid of death. When death comes, laugh at it. Death is only an experience through which you are meant to learn a great lesson: you cannot die.
“We all die. The goal isn’t to live forever, the goal is to create something that will. “ ~ Chuck Palahniuk

Love and Friendship are two sides of the same coin....💕
Friendship for me is like having another version of you. Friendship is unconditional, relationship comes with so many conditions 😀 For me, love and friendship both are equally important. Friendship and love both gives us lots of things....Fearless feeling, trust & support. Being in love with each other doesn't mean you have to be lovers, sometimes you just have to be friends.
The general traits of a good friendship includes similar interests, mutual respect and an attachment to each other. Friendship for most people is a combination of affection, loyalty, love, respect and trust. True friendship is when someone knows you better than yourself and takes a position in your best interest crisis. We all need friends. If not, we would be all alone in this cruel World 🌍
Friendship cannot happen when you don't love your friends.
Having friends does not only mean having companion, but it is also good for the heart ❤️People who have no friends have host of physical and emotional problems. Even psychosomatic disorders and depresssion is more in asocial people. However, I respect those with no friends because it can mean they chose to not accept bad friends or fair weather friends, and decided no friends is better than bad friends.
Next, what is LOVE? 🤔
Love is a force of nature. You can invite love, but you cannot dictate how, when, and where love expresses itself. It comes naturally. It can be Unpredictable! You can even find yourself loving people you don’t like at all. Love is inherently free. It cannot be bought, sold or traded. You cannot make someone love you, nor can you prevent it, for any amount of money. Love comes in every aspects. Family, friends, lovers, or even strangers....😊
Love makes people live longer, buffers our ego and sense of belonging and gives us reason for growth development and adds colours to life....🌈✨💫 Finding love is great and all, but the thing is, those things fall apart a lot. And when they do, it is often our friends who help us out of the depressed state we enter after a breakup.
Deep attachments and care are good for friendship but in relationship, sometimes it becomes possessiveness! 😄 You can act like a crazy idiot with your friends but you need to be mature with your partner! In love, you both are world's best person for each-other, but in friendship, you know you are not perfect, so you together observe the world, discuss the things which you lack in yourself and try to improve each-other.
Thus FRIENDSHIP and LOVE are two integral pillars of growth and both are equally important in our lives....💖
Sadly, Relationship these days are just to complete their means....

I was planning to blog about this long time back ✍🏻
Within a matter of three days, we lost two great legends Ashalata ji & S. P. Balasubrahmanyam Sir due to Corona 💔
Our country witnessed many notable deaths since March lockdown. 🙇🏻♀️ The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives in ways that we could not have imagined.
I don’t want to sound like a pessimist – the road forward looks rough. Yes seriously....things will never be the same again. Covid-19 will change the way the world works; just like the Great Depression and the 2008 financial crash did in the past.
Being stuck at home, can be boring but that doesn’t mean you go out with friends and wander in public places without precautions. It is sad to know that since March, situation hasn’t improved. Young people are reckless, impulsive, and prone to heedless risk-taking. They don’t follow rules & blame the government.
I understand that social isolation measures have severe consequences for mental health, particularly for those who live alone. However, we’re not all experiencing social isolation in the same way. Not everyone lives in a happy family home. We need to think of those who are victims of domestic abuse and confined to their homes, unable to escape their abuser. You should consider yourself lucky if you have a wonderful family and ensure you cherish memories with them. ✨💫
I have been traveling and having to spend a lot of time alone for the last 11 years of my life was difficult....however it wasn’t impossible! Most of my time was spent in work or travel. I had no time to socialise for the first 3 years in UAE 🇦🇪 I always felt alone but I never fell into depression....because I was never lonely. Music is my companion, my best friend. It really helps me. 😍 I struggled with my hardships and work pressure. One must never ever give up hope! Don't ever give up on yourself or on life!
More importantly, we must ensure something like this never happens again. Eventually, things will go back to normal. Just that we’ll have to change the definition of normal. History says that humankind has never learnt from history. Let’s hope that it’s a thing of the past.
Enjoy the moment! Hopefully this too shall pass
🤞🏻☘️ 🙏🏻🦋

Never knew I would start my 1st blog as a Tribute to Pandit Jasraj ji. 🙏🏻💐
It’s been 2 months since Sushant left this world. 🌍
I was trying my best to get back to normal...However, unfortunate demise of Legendary Vocalist Pandit Jasraj ji has made me feel sad. 😢
Bapuji and I share the same birth month. He was an Aquarian and so am I.😊
I’m sharing some beautiful stills of Sa Re Ga Ma Megafinale, 1998 as these are my fond memories.✨ #nostalgia 🙇🏻♀️ #saregama #megafinals1998
Sa Re Ga Ma show was judged by 13 legendary singers. It was too difficult for me to understand their contribution to music. However, I enjoyed watching this show especially because it was hosted by Sonu Nigam.
I was in college, preparing for my HSC board exams. Yet, thrilled & much excited to watch Sa Re Ga Ma. I even enjoyed Antakshari which was hosted by Annu Kapoor & Durgaji back in 90’s, which was aired on Zee TV.
I remember, how my Dad shared family history of these judges, field of music these legends were known for, what genre of music they were good at, life struggles & number of awards they won in their musical journey.
At times, Dad even shared the list of movies that they composed music for. I would never see him getting tired talking about Pandit Jasraj ji, Jagjit Singh ji, OP Nayyar ji, Khayyam ji,and other judges even after the show was over.
Music has been my interest ever since I was 8yrs old. Perhaps, I have inherited my father’s gift for Music. 🙌🏼 🌷
I can write a lot about this show, but I end it here by Thanking Gajendra Singh ji for launching such a marvellous singing talent show & giving a huge platform to aspiring singers.
The most unforgettable moment for me was when Pandit Jasraj ji announced my favourite artist Bela Shende as a winner in female category by saying “Bela mein jo khushboo aa gayi, ab main kya karu?” and Mohammed Vakil as a winner in male category. 🎙👏🏻👏🏻
Bapuji, your blessings will always stay with them and lucky are those who met you face to face. 🍀
Only few will really understand the depth of this loss to the world of “Hindustani Classical Music.” 🪕🎼
I will never forget Bapuji’s kindness. He will remain in our hearts ♥️ forever through his peerless creations.
May God give him eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain.
Om Shanti 🙏🏻 🌹
