all saints is like only barely death note fanfic but i do believe it is the most fun, healing, competently plotted and emotionally real thing i have written in my life. i really want to write an original novel that hits in the same way so that's my next long term project.

but also, recently i wrote a few thousand words of another nights-verse fic that i plan to finish sometime before the end of the year hopefully (but i have to finish some other projects before i can get to it). but in case you are interested to know, it's not exactly a continuation of the series so much as a B-centric piece that begins post-atcm and goes to post-all saints, kind of just addressing the beyond birthday of it all. like i don't care that he's the manic pixie dream girl of the nights-verse. at this point i can admit that i wrote that entire 500k+ series literally just to give beyond birthday a happy ending and a loving family and two boyfriends. and yes, it's Art

notes: ok, i did it! glad to get this done because i have been neglecting a lot shit in favor of writing it. it's just been so much fun! thanks for all the feedback. love you all so much. somehow this fic, which i wrote bc i wanted to write dirty sex scenes and hilarious handcuff chain hijinks, turned into kind of a "kira as a metaphor for coming out" fic? so it goes. this chapter contains a lot of porn and a lot of plot. some of this plot is perhaps not genius tier but guess what? i am no genius, just a simple sap who enjoys horrible boyfriends.

warnings: basically all of the same sex stuff from ch 1. like the most and longest blowjobs ever. lots of sexualized choking/asphyxiation. homophobia! i was going to say internalized homophobia but it gets pretty externalized as well. attempted suicide. lots of murder threats, mostly sexual ones. guns. light's daddy issues. ooc behavior? canon misa may not have ever done any of the things she does in this chapter but it was still viscerally satisfying for me write all of her lines. i did so much annoying research on the mechanics of the death note but if i fucked something up, write down my name. and if i've neglected to warn for anything, lmk and i'll add it.
