it had been a long time since the god of death had been off the isle - except for the brief moment where he had gotten off to help wake the sleeping princess for mal - and the first thing he does once he’s free is search out persephone and poppy, a smile on his face when he sees poppy. she’s grown up since he’s last seen her but she looks so much like seph that he has no trouble recognizing her.  “ look at you, all grown up. ”

it  takes  a  second,  for  his  meaning  to  sink  in,  and  when  it  does,  her  eyes  grow  wide.  ‘  but  —–  no.  ’  it’s  not  possible,  it  can’t  be.  ‘  m  —-  my  mother  always  told  me  that  my  father  was  human.  ’  then  again,  when  has  she  ever  been  known  for  her  honesty ?
