A Not so Quick Announcement

Most of you know be as Megan, or dearevanhansegg, but there's more behind me than that. All my life I looked in the mirror, only to see someone I wasn't. A nagging feeling creeping in from the back of my mind. A longing to be the person I was inside. Most girls hate their bodies for lack of self confidence, or reassurance, but I hated mine because it wasn't who I am. I may not be able to convince family members, church buddies, or teachers to leave behind the s in she when addressing me. Because for me, that 's' only means more stress. I know it might take a while to get used to, and there will be a few slips in spelling or in verbal conversations. But for the first time in my life I'm standing up for who I am. My name is Egg, I'm trans, but that doesn't change who I am at all. So, please don't call me Megan, or she/her starting today. Mistakes are human, but humans are not mistakes. No matter the colour of their skin, the people they love, or what gender they identify as, humans are humans. A small thank you to Ari, who helped me convey how I felt in writing, and helped me spell everything right, @aris-personal-blog (And for not blowing my cover until I was ready for more people to know.) Love ya mom 💜
