Eesh
Apparently one of my photos got blocked. It was nothing but a photo of my daughter, but apparently the automated system decided her elbow was a different piece of anatomy and there appears to be no way of appealing it, or even switching it out with a cropped photo that doesn’t show her elbow. Guess I’ll have to file Tumblr in the useless sites file like MySpace.

Needs some Fartz!
I’m trying to build and configure a Shoutcast server, so I can stream a live radio station out of my office and into your earholes. So far, we’ve been able to get the autoDJ working, which lets me upload a playlist that will stream whenever a listener connects to it.
I’ve been doing a mix of 90s grunge, and I’m changing it right now to a mix of 90s ambient, featuring the first FAX Records compilation, as well as Global Communications’ seminal and ground-breaking record, 73:14.
If you tune in, I’d appreciate your feedback very much. I’m interested in stream quality, connectivity, and your end-user experience. You can add a note to this post, drop me a note at counter.social (Where I’m @wilw), or email wil at wil wheaton dot net <– I’m still in the habit of obfuscating(ish) email addresses. (Do spammers still scrape websites for email addresses?)

My grandfather did photo developing. Spelling was apparently not his forte, at least in English.

She closed her eyes to keep her conscience blind
It’s no coincidence that the guys I find attractive are pale, thin, and long-legged, generally of UK ancestry. Usually at least a bit genderqueer too. I’d say the same for women, but I’ve never personally run into women who looked like Bowie (Tilda Swinton is certainly hot though). I imprinted sexually on David Bowie like a hatchling bird and that’s stayed with me the rest of my life.

Background information
I first heard David Bowie when I was 10 years old. By some fluke a DJ in my town had played “Space Oddity” a few times and I was smitten by it. But by the time I had enough allowance saved up to buy the 45, it had disappeared. I didn’t hear anything again until 1973 when RCA re-released his first albums. By then I was 14 and living in the city, and I became a total fanatic.
The scans I post are clippings I’ve saved all these years, for the most part. Originally I had a footlocker full of the saved magazines, but several cross-country (and one out-of-country) moves forced me to save only the most important things. I’m slowly scanning them in, along with other interesting bits and pieces - photos, programs, whatever catches my eye. Hope you find something interesting in the confusion.

My art has sold quite a lot over the last month, so I thought I’d give something back (at the same time as celebrating my first 200 followers here) by offering one lucky person one free 8x10″ print of their choice from the above drawings.
All you have to do to be in with a chance to win is reblog this post.
That’s it.
You don’t have to like it, or follow me.
At the end of February I’ll count the reblogs and use a random number generator to pick the winner. Please leave your inbox open so I can contact you!
No postage restrictions either, I’ll send anywhere. The print will come in a sturdy postal tube/roll, posted first class, and you’ll get a tracking number.
Just to clarify:
• Reblogs only - likes won’t be counted!
• More reblogs = more chances to win! There’s no limit to how many times you can share.
• I post anywhere in the world!
• The prize is one 8x10″ print (worth £18)
• Giveaway deadline is February 28th 2017.
Good luck! And thank you, everyone! :)
