He listened and wondered how much of his own timeline-crossing escapades he should even bring up, given one ended up in a very violent massacre of his other selves. Most of whom he had the pleasure of having never actually met. He wasn't there to start it, but he did end it. He glanced down at the captured anomaly and hummed a bit as he walked over to them and nudged them with his foot, earning a grunt of irritation. They did look an awful a lot like someone here. So all of it tracked so far.
"That tracks... I assume you have something to track all these... anomalies... these displacees across the multiverse." The sound of the clip sliding into the magazine of the gun, the familiar sound, calms his nerves somewhat. He hummed a bit, thinking, his thoughts getting cut short as he was shown a video.
"Oooh..." He was sure he'd heard of something about that before, from Dr. Strange. He couldn't remember fully what was said, so he wasn't going to bring it up; the information could wait till later. "Most of my 'Variants' are dead..." He paused for a moment. "I killed most of them." Which was harder to explain, all considered, most of his variants had a healing factor. "Uh, for a good reason, I should add."
As hard as that sounds to believe.
"Miguel! Then you can call me Wade. Since we're on a first-name basis." He nearly nudged the man in the side casually before stopping himself; he didn't feel like discovering how comfortable Miguel would be with cutting off his arms right now. "Anyway, I used to work with a group of other Deadpools. Deadpool Corp. We fell apart and went our separate ways. They're all dead now, I didn't kill them, though." Wade's tone turned somber for a moment, thinking about them.
"I never personally encountered too many troubles in my timeline hopping adventures, not with the Deadpool Corp or even with Cable. I mean, I had troubles, but those were purely situational." He was sure that was mostly on part of never sticking around long enough to cause problems. He was sure 'Dreadpool,' as he called him, caused a lot more trouble than he ever could crossing the multiverse.
"What's this society like? It doesn't sound like a small team if you're using the word society." He wondered if Spidey was a part of it. He wouldn't doubt it; he didn't keep track of the guy. Regardless, his original question about tracking was more or less answered; he wondered how accurate it was.
The existence of a spectator required a brief adjustment. It wasn't often that he'd allow an eyewitness to observe his work, but given that Deadpool hadn't provided him with adequate reasons to detain the man, the merc was permitted the chance to ask and inquire, as desired. Field questions that, to nobody's surprise, required complicated explanations.
"They're... displaced individuals." There's the start, the front car of a train that could derail at any second. But it wasn't like this was his first time shedding light on the nature of his reality-hopping quarry, targets that were rarely aware of being singled out until catching a glimpse of a bear-sized Spider lunging at him. Far from it, in catch.
And that measure of experience was certainly reflected in the ease with which he dives into a more detailed elaboration; "You've made mention of meeting your other selves... these are what I've elected to term as variants." Because of course he's encountered his own reflections too, and was left with the same hollow feeling each time. Nothing good had arisen from Miguel learning that a version of himself had become a father, had experienced happiness... that he wanted to experience as well.
"Sometimes, these same variants..." Gesturing to the detained between then, he ignored what sounded like a muffled hmph to add "...can end up in realities completely different to the one they've originated from." Unwilling travellers on a journey that sees those affected being tossed across the endless expanse of the universe, and all of its different shades and forms.
"Which is when problems start to arise." Rather than given an explanation for this next piece, he deterred to a video speak for him, shown off to the other after the swipe and press of a few inputs upon his wrist-mounted gizmo summoned a small, golden holo-screen into existence. "This is why some variants become known as anomalies." Comprised of various security camera footage, what would be shown off is the glitching that affects the space around a given anomaly in a deadly way producing shapes and colours the likes of which were never witnessed by human eyes previously.
"Call me Miguel, by the way." Responding to the merc's trouble with name assignment, no reaction is given to the mention of the Avengers, heroes that, just like with every other reality he had previously visited, would serve only to act as a hindrance, rather than help with corralling the wandering variants, damaging the world around them.
"I lead a team, actually. It's called the Spider Society."

The merc shrugged, what could he say, he had a type. His mask seemingly lit up with mirth as he stood over the spider and looked down at the unconscious 'anomaly'. He had a good enough guess without asking too much that these 'anomalies' had probably been causing some odd stuff
"What's all this anomaly stuff?" He gestured to the guy on the ground. "I've got a good understanding of multiverse stuff because I've met more me's than I'd have ever liked to." There was acid in his voice as he said this, an obvious sign he didn't like his multiversal alternates. "I've had to deal with a few multiverse shenanigans, but I'm not quite sure I've had to deal with 'anomalies...' What makes one?"
He now couldn't help but feel actually annoying asking so many questions, easing his own nerves, he shifted his weight onto his other foot, marginally wishing he had built a hood and or pockets into his suit to do something with his hands, instead they occupied themselves with reloading his gun that he had previously holstered.
"Spid-... er... Well you're a spider too, does Spid...er this Spiderman know about all of this? The Avengers? Or is this just... a you thing.. all the anomaly stuff?" He was curious, genuinely, he wasn't sure how much help he'd be, after all, he had run into the guy a few times as is, and just helped when he saw him or other strange spider people.
Small actions scored points, wiggle room that could be used to... temper the aggravation that the mercenary was causing. He had stopped short of asking the other to relent in their attempts to touch him, but thankfully, to his own secret relief, Deadpool had appeared to receive the message loud and clear, without his help.
"Why am I not surprised by that?" A shake of head disproves of the other's flirtatious tone, refusing to fall for it as he busied himself with assessing the anomaly's condition. Draping a hand over their nose detected an airflow, that, along with finding a pulse in the man's limp wrist, kept him well within the conditions needed for travel through a portal. "Anyway, it'll worth our while if we made sure this one doesn't get up and start walking away." To that end, he stretched an arm over the anomaly's body, taking aim as he layered the man's hands on top of the other before covering them with a wad webbing.
Feet too followed in the same fashion, wrapped up and bound securely. Staying at this for a moment or two, he had become so preoccupied with tying up the target for transport that the Spider had almost missed the merc's question, as evidenced with a "Huh?" and a slow blink of eyes, before he manages to register what they had asked about.
"Oh yeah? Go for it." It held more appeal than their earlier exchanges at the very least, which made Miguel all the more inclined to answer truthfully. "What do you wish to know about?"

"Are you sure no one wanted you to stay? I've left before... well not my universe but I've left. Did you say anything? Check-in on people you knew?" He couldn't help but be worried about this version of himself, he had no one, he didn't have Preston or Ellie... He shook off the negative thoughts. "I'm not saying you have to go back, but! It wouldn't hurt to check in on the ones you cared about."
"I think you'll find your place... I found mind, even if it feels weird at times, I have it." He patted his alternates back. "The voices will be loud, they're the devils on your shoulder don't listen to them... unless they're telling you to not put a fork in a toaster, listen to that voice, you're just... we are. Unstable... always have been. You sound like you're in a hard spot right now, very hard... not the fun kind of hard spot either. You'll make it past but... there will be difficult things to come in the future."
He felt odd having this conversation with himself, he'd been talked to like this countless of times, and it never made sense, but now it made a lot of sense, more sense than he ever thought it could. He was spewing what he's been told, he hoped it didn't take until his alt was saying it to someone else, that he understood what was being said.
"You will trust me, like I said, it took a lot of work to even get here, and I'm still fumbling around like an idiot." He shrugged. "I've lost this...place wreckless behavior, being a fool, I'm not going to be perfect, I'm not even a hero... I'm trying, but it's hard, and I'll keep trying, you too. Don't give up, don't let the voices win, don't let faceless voices beat you down."

"I don't have daughter. Timeline things I guess?" He chuckled darkly at that one. He was listening though. He listen as his other self spoke. It was all hard to chew at the moment. Alot of self-doubt and him talking about staying on the boat. He was both glad and a little jealous another verison of him found something to keep him around.
"I left my universe." Uttering that out to another version of himself was HARD. The words also got struck in his throat. "....The people of that universe were happy to see me leave. They even made this belt for me TOO leave." It strung how no one even tried to stop him.
"I guess still looking for that. MY PLACE. I think it is out there. I met some really good people so far but, I don't know. All voices in my head are loudest they ever been. Maybe it because I am healing or maybe it just how I am." He was chewing his chin at moment.
"I wanna make a different JUST once man. Just ONE time. I wanna be the hero and feel like it mattered. I hope...I can find what you have."

There was silence he didn't answer immediately, not because of doubt but because of all the pain he had gone through, just to get what little he had now.
"I do... yeah. We... I've hurt a lot of people. A lot of... people I care about..." He cringed. "I hurt them the most. I've let them down so many times." He chewed his lip behind his mask. "Getting it right is... hard when you're trying to do it within other's rules and guidelines..." he made a hand motion as if waving off the notion that it would work ever. "I still am but...! I have a daughter. I'm not sure if you do... uh... you probably do." He looked the others suit up and down, it was nearly identical save for a few differences.
"I don't... remember my birthday but, If I did or cared, I'm sure someone would give me a gift... I get Christmas gifts, just a few, always handmade." He sighed "I worked for that, for that small little bit of importance in someone else's life. It took a lot of my blood, tears...body parts... so so so many body parts...an evil clone... a supermassive war between myself....3 movies..... not at all related to me but it's crazy it's happened 3 times.....wait I'm getting off topic."
"You're important, we are. Us ill-placed, misfits, it might not feel like that now but the ripples we make have made waves. The waves happen so far out though we just don't see them. You just need to stay on the boat longer." He cringed again. "I still feel like I'm not important. At worst... I feel like I shouldn't exist. That no one loves me, that everything I do is pointless that at the end of the day, I will just disappoint those around me and they'll all abandon me... hate me. I fear that deeply, I need constant reminders that I do matter, even if it's just a few people, if I died... if you died, forever... you'd be missed."

"....Do you believe that yourself? You are another verison of me. We have.....I HAVE....hurt alot of people and I never seem to get right man." He was speaking to him as if he was old friend. Maybe only another Deadpool will get it.
"....Did anyone call you on your Birthday or for Christmas? No one did for me when I was in my old universe. Everyone treated me like plague. Every time I tired to help....I just made things worst for people and usually...my happiness just disappeared."

"Hey, buddy, sexy beast you..." Wade rubbed the back of his head, unsure of what to say. He's been there, he's still there. His shoulders slumped a bit and then he sighed loudly.
"Our actions do mean something... maybe not big ripples or anything... impressive like...all the big capes but, we've touched a lot of lives." At times like this, he thought about Ellie, Preston, and even Evan. "The universe is... shit. There's only so much we can do." This wasn't as peppy as he wanted it to be, he wasn't Capt. "Man, I am not good at these pep talks. I'm good at stabbing and maiming things." He crossed his arms. "We're... YOU are important. Just not in the way you think you are."
"You know what fucked up part is? I am just man. I am not important or POWERFUL...." He tightened his fist.
"I wish I was powerful. I wish my action meant something but, when really matters my strength is never enough. I am get struck watching the horrors of universe coming undo in front of me."

"So, the double swords and the double pistols. What's up with that? Prepping for the apocalypse or something, pal?" -A little thing to say hello! | @volucerrubidus
Unprompted | Always Accepting
The masked merc looked up from the gun he was taking the time reloading his weapon, he had heard the approach some time ago but hadn't made it known he was aware. He lifted his right hand and then waved with the guy, a smile could be faintly seen from the indents of the mercenary's mask.
"Oooooh, what are yoooou supposed to be?" Completely ignoring the initial question the caped crusader had asked. "I like the colors going on! A mix of bright and dark. You look straight out of one of my comic books." Wade pressed his gloved hands together and kicked up his leg. He reholstered the gun he was holding after.
"Oh, the apocalypse? The only prepping I do is for a big meal buddy. Or right before the bedroom tango." he waved his hand flippantly before turning away from the vaguely bird-themed hero. He squatted down to a cache in front of him and closed it. The case made a whirring sound as it locked itself.
"But nooo, nooo. No, doomsday prep! These guns are for unaliving people! You know! K-I-L-L. The ol' spray and pray." Wade waved his hand around as he picked up the cache case. "The swords? A bit of a stick and poke but you don't get a really shitty tattoo out of it, you just get a really shitty wound!"

Wade lifted his hand off the very clearly irritated man and put his hands in clear view, however, he didn't step away from the man at all. Instead, he chuckled lowering his arms and then crossing them.
"Nuisance on very, VERY special occasions." He clasped his hands together and pressed his cheek against the backside of his right hand. "Reserved for special people." The merc managed a wink at the spider. His masked eyes followed the man down before he continued his, unfortunately annoying, yapping. His eyes landed back on the body in front of them. "Oh... that's good... I suppose." He couldn't really ever understand fully leaving people alive, he only did when it was to send a message or there was no real need to kill everyone. His brow area arched and he lowered his hands onto his hips.
The mood also changed after he asked about the "Dracula" thing, he felt like poking at it but he had probably already pushed it by even saying it. He almost ignored what next words came out of the man's mouth, having nearly let his thoughts wander to other things, finally snapping his attention on them and nodding.
He couldn't help but inwardly smile too, the orders that came made Wade feel like he was a part of a team, a shitty poorly put-together team, but a team! He clapped his gloved hands together and nodded.
"Yeah, no problem boss man... I have a question actually." The word 'anomaly' piqued his interest. He had some vague understanding of multiverse stuff, but he couldn't really count on his shitty movie knowledge let alone the writer's knowledge to give him a good understanding. He could use his mouth to learn stuff, he was a good boy, he washed under his arms.
The abrupt contact garnered an immediate response, seen as a slate of pure muscle tensed beneath the glimmering fa莽ade of his suit, disturbed by the unexpected contact. The well-meaning gesture had only made Miguel bristle, a feeling that encouraged a whip-like turn of his head, steered by the sounds of the mercenary's expressed opinions. Twencen drivel that he couldn't bring himself to fake an interest in.
"Are you sure you're not mistaking misfit for nuisance?" The snapped retort leaks into the air faster than he can recall it, fixing the other with a stare that could burn through paper if tested. But, as irritated as he felt, the questions that sprang forth from the merc's incessant mouth next quenched the fires of his fury in an instant. Brought low by the comparison, Miguel's gaze drifts away from Wade for the first time, spirt and body both slumping towards the floor as he settles into a low crouch.
"They'll live." Uttered with a surprising amount of effort, the confirmation of the anomaly's condition seemed to relax a notch of tension that had settled within his chest, a guilt that chastised the well-tested Spider for not simply erasing the displaced villain brought low at his feet, and be finished with it. He was better than that, or so he'd like to think. Lies spoken and perpetuated with the utmost conviction, displaced from the facts.
He was much worse than Dracula.
"I've got to secure the anomaly for transport. In the meantime, will you sweep the area? See if we missed anything?" Reembracing old habits, he had subconsciously fallen back into the role of leader, forgetting his place. That he wasn't accompanied by his fellow Spiders, but instead by one of the most persistent individuals to ever walk the face of this planet. "...If you would like to, that is. You're not obligated to do so."
