His head flies up as David bites down on him, making a mental note to get back at him later. If it were anyone else he may have freaked, but with David... He finds himself wanting him to do it more.

"You like the taste?" He teased, fingers moving to David's neck, gently brushing against it.

Renato really thought he was going to get the paper plane, he didn't think twice about it... Feeling the grip on his wrist , he couldn't help but grumble. Tugging softly to see if he had any pull, a way to get free. "It is mine." Was all he said, not understanding the danger that he could be in. Not yet at least. Poor Renato missed a lot, the small raise of Albert's eyebrow. The tone of his voice. How trapped he actually was.

Finally he was beginning to understand. His eyes widening, as he attempted to hold himself together. His pulse quickening with fear, but also something else. The paper plane may be nothing to someone else, but to him, it meant something. He found the beauty in it, he had become attached. "Don't.. It isn't yours to destroy. It --- please." The last word whispered, eyes glossing over slightly. As his thumb applied pressure, Renato couldn't help but grunt. Heart beating quickly, as a gasp finally escaped his lips. "Albert... Wesker.. uh.. Sir? -- please?" Now he wasn't even sure what he was asking for.

The subtle raise of a brow was the only giveaway ( if the gesture had been noticed, that is. ) that he had heard the other, still he promptly decided to ignore the survivor, at least for now, as he plucked the hastily made paper plane that had been dropped. Fingers quickly wrapping around Renato's wrist when he tried to reach out and grab the piece of paper from him. " A bit too slow for that. " A taunt followed by something akin to a scoff.

He turned the paper plane in his hand, the piece of paper so frail, it was almost a miracle it didn't crumbled the moment he picked up. " You got so worked up for this, mh? " A tilt of his head, the action questioning in nature as crimson hues hidden behind dark shades focused on the survivor. " How sentimental. It would be a shame if something was to happen to it. " Thumb pressing against a particular spot of his wrist, feeling the pick up of his pulse underneath his gloved pad. How interesting.

A small tick in his jaw, as the vein between his eyes twitched. David's words causing him to pout. "A bit funny? You're ---- impossible." He huffed, but immediately softened. Renato couldn't stay mad at him for long. Especially when he looked like this. The familiar nickname causing a warmth to spread through him, finally lifting his head once more. Eyes searching for David's, lighting up at just the feel of his fingers against his skin. "Yeah.. I get it." And he did, he'd do anything, absolutely anything to keep David safe. One of the only things he had in this fog, and he'd never lose him. "This one might hurt." His free hand moving to take care of another cut, knowing it would sting, it was pretty deep. "I'd be a hypocrite if I made you promise that. This just" He paused a moment before finally breathing out his next word. "sucks."

David was well aware that perhaps there wasn't anything fun about getting beaten up and requiring the constant patching up, however it was rather hard to not find the humor in the whole situation when Renato did look adorable when annoyed. " Well, it's a bit funny. " His behavior was quick to shift at the feeling of familiar locks tickling his skin when Renato rested his forehead against him, however was the words spoken that brought him pause. " 'm sorry, sunshine. " A whisper, a gentle nuzzle of his nose against the other's head when he ever so slightly turned towards him. " I love yer. " How easily such words escaped his mouth, as if he hadn't been afraid of them for almost his whole life. Fingers reaching for one of Renato's hand, carefully wrapping around it. " But you know it’d be a reyt lie if ah promised ya that. " A pause. " As much as I can try, we both know I’d do owt to keep you safe, yeah. "
