What are your headcanons for why Frisk climbed the mountain? (Sorry if I missed them on the blog!) I read somewhere that some people believe they might've been the subject of sexual abuse, due to the fact that they have options to flirt with people that could be seen as inappropriate. Your thoughts?

mnnn!! it’s not on the blog anywhere yet because I hadn’t fully fleshed out my thoughts on the matter until now, so thank you for asking ( and thus forcing me to actually write about it finally ) !!

I think, perhaps, Frisk did not have the best life with their family and their peers. Sexual abuse is not what I had thought of, and even now I don’t believe that to be the case, but they certainly did not grow up in a loving household.

Frisk lived somewhere near Mt. Ebott, probably skirting the forest that surrounds the mountain’s base. On days when things got bad and they were able, they would sneak out to wander the forest to get lost in the serenity of the woods. They started to learn how to navigate through the forest fairly well, and had come out at the mountain’s base several times before -- but had always turned back.

Until another bad day happened, and they wandered the woods as always and found the mountain once more, and they got curious. Everyone knew the rumors, the whispers of mysterious disappearances at the mountain’s peak -- and all at once they got curious and desperate.

        What makes people disappear?                                   Just what is on top of that mountain?                    What if I could disappear?

And so they climbed -- and so they disappeared.

soulless. sorry for not being on so much today – I’ve been trying to get ready for today and tomorrow. just to clue you guys in, I will be leaving shortly to go back home ( a drive that takes 3 hours ) so that my mom and I can be back home and cook dessert for tomorrow.

tomorrow my parents will be gone early morning and I have some things to take care of at the house until about midday, when we’ll all be going to a work christmas party. shortly following that, my mom and I will be driving back here ( again, 3 hours ) so that she’s able to go to work thursday morning.

so, uh – I won’t be on the desktop too much for today and tomorrow. I’ll try and reblog some memes on the ride up ( and write some replies to pass the time ), and I’ll be up for some small tumblr asks/ims, but I just wanted to give everyone an actual heads up.

was re-looking through the official underswap blog’s faq ( because I’m constantly trying to make sure I have the most factual up-to-date info for the most clarity possible ) and I feel the need to say this

as it stands, my underswap frisk is still the protagonist. I realize that in underswap, chara is supposed to be the protagonist and frisk is supposed to be the first fallen human, because underswap is a half-personality && role swap, but the line between partial-personality swap and full personality swap is thin enough already ( with most people I think not minding it at all ) that combined with the role swap, it turns from a fun && interesting au to what boils down to an appearance swap with a few quirks. thus, I’ve taken the role swap out to keep things fun for me.

if any underswap rpers ( or anyone with an underswap verse ) would like the full swap, I’ll certainly oblige -- it’ll probably end up being a bit different from the main one on the blog though. I’ll probably note that when I write the verse page up fully.
