I'm queer and a long time WC fan, and I feel like I have to share this thought with someone: I hate the gay shipping that other fans do. Cats are not gay.

This has been sitting here a while, I wasn't sure if I'd ever post it because it's kind of a big controversy in the WC community.

First, I want to say that you are allowed to dis/like whatever content you view. Whether you ship same sex characters or not, is your business.

Second, shipping same sex characters for some is the only way that they get to see same sex relationships. They feel represented, which for same sex couplings is something that media rarely portrayed because of how "taboo" gay stuff was.

Frankly, all I can say is this: If you don't want to see same sex shipping, then make your own ships and your own content about the characters. If you see it, just scroll. It won't hurt you to see same sex ships.
