Colonist’s doll, created by Ellagrace. The design of the doll is very of the time, looking exactly like a doll that a child would have in the 1920s and even earlier times. It makes sense for a doll for this to be on board the ship, even if the ship and everything else around it is more futuristic in comparison. The colour of the dress also works well with the golden colours associated with the 1920s and the Art Deco movement.

Coloniser chess pieces, created by David. The sculpting present here is very impressive, all of the different folds, wrinkles and tiny detailing in the skin and hair is very well done, as well as the stone podium they sit upon, the only thing I would say is that the queen head doesn’t look very feminine, and I thought they were male upon first glance.

Little colonist character design, created by Amelie. The character is very cute, almost chibi like in their style and reminiscent of the human characters in Animal Crossing, and I really like her outfit, it’s simple yet quite unique with the different colour combinations, as well as it tying into the logo on the menu she is reading. The bandage on her nose and the little blush on her cheeks also help with her cute design.

Advertisement warning on impending doom, created by Aiden. I really like the fact Aidan created a proper advertisement that wouldn’t be out of place for the era this takes place in, and the glitch and distortion effects used are generally really creepy. I wish I could have found a way to have uploaded the full video itself.

Future video game concept, created by Dagan. I really like the weird cartoony art style present, it both looks like something that would appear in a children’s show from the 2000s but also somewhat sinister, like there’s something not quite right about it, in a way it gives me Rick and Morty vibes.

The futuristic ship design and a soldier, created by Liam. I like the various different sizes and shapes of ships he came up with, and the super industrial, warfare sort of theme given to them is really interesting. The design for the soldier itself looks very grounded in reality, however, and I feel like with the futuristic theme, it could have looked a lot more sci-fi and creative whilst keeping the dark, dystopian theme.

Future character designs, created by Liam. These designs are disgustingly awesome, the skin pulling back and the machinery and tubing built into their skulls are gnarly, and I really enjoy that as a fan of horror and body horror. In a way, it gives me major vibes of Warhammer 40K. The design of the space pirates are cool too, with a futuristic vibe that I like a lot in their uniforms, whilst also being grounded in reality.

Alien creature journals, created by Alfie. The sketchy, scribbly art style used to draw these creatures l really like, that and the crass writing all around which makes it seem much more realistic and like they were actual sketches made by people on the planet. The design of the slime creature I really enjoy too, it has a certain wholesomeness to it that I really like, and the monstrous bird (created by Wendy) is both funny and absolutely horrifying.

Survival kits, created by Alex. These resemble actual designs for logos and packaging you would find from the era, but with a somewhat futuristic spin on it that I like a lot. They seem like items you would collect in a survival or horror game like Fallout or Bioshock, it might be the rust on them that helps me think that. The slime character Krungle is very charming too, like it would be a food mascot of an alternate reality or alien planet.

Futuristic dystopian cult church, created by Halime. The art of this is absolutely incredible, and I have no idea how she managed to make something that looked this professional, although she has made incredible work around the board. The actual church has a very interesting and unique design, made up of parts of my ship, which she hadn’t actually seen when making this, but it somehow tied in perfectly with the rounder shapes. This might be the best work I’ve seen for the project.

Futuristic character and creature designs, created by Halime. The creature design has a very interesting mix of bird and dinosaur, and in a way it reminds me of the Chocobo creatures from the Final Fantasy series and also creatures from Monster Hunter, it is very prehistoric and I like it a lot. The design for the Leader is incredibly cool, the bloody crystal head looks quite horrific and the design for the robe is awesome too, with all the intricate details.

Alien fish design, created by Alexandra. It’s quite a simple design but it works a lot, it looks very earth-like but just alien enough for it to look unique, with the flowing fins and the weird detailing. The jellyfish looks really cool too, I like how the cap of the jellyfish is inverted, making it look like a flower or a lilypad.

Flora, created by Charisma. There are so many different and varying types of flora present here and I think it’s really impressive, all of the colours and sizes plus specific part of the designs all look really alien, yet at the same time they resemble something so close to plantlike on Earth. Some of them even remind me of Day of the Triffids.

A pod, created by Nathaniel. Honestly, I have no idea what to comment, I know it's a sort of alien creature, but at the same time this definitely isn’t a pod, like an escape pod for a ship. Even if it was meant to be an alien creature, I don’t think it has enough going for it to make it really ‘alien’ or unique enough.

Alien flora, created by Nathaniel. I like the different colours and shapes used on this, and also the realistic sounding names, comparing to the Latin names of some species, but at the same time I can’t really tell what’s going on with some design points, especially with the green and yellow one, I think there was a point where it’s potentially too alien.

Colonist cabins, created by Chloe. I really like how cozy the interior for this cabin looks, and additionally how unconventional the shaping is, it looks like it would do really well to hold human colonisers. I also really like how the 3D elements were pulled off, it looks like a cel-shaded model, and the shading really helps too.

Alien flora, created by Chloe. I like the different variety of colours and accent colours on the trees, along with the somewhat unconventional shaping of the trunk. The drooping design for the leaves atop the trees appears really alien, almost like slime, and definitely something you would see on an alien planet, and I like that a lot.
