How to remove stickers from glass
Stickers on glass surfaces can be stubborn and unsightly, whether they are residue from price tags, labels, or children's sticky creations. Fortunately, there are several simple and effective methods to remove stickers from glass without leaving behind any sticky residue or damaging the surface. In this article, we will explore different techniques that will help you restore the crystal-clear shine of your glass surfaces.
Method 1: Peeling and Rubbing Alcohol
Begin by carefully peeling off as much of the sticker as possible using your fingers or a plastic scraper. Be gentle to avoid scratching the glass.
If any sticky residue remains, dampen a clean cloth or sponge with rubbing alcohol. Rub the residue gently in a circular motion, applying slight pressure. The alcohol will help dissolve the adhesive.
Continue rubbing until the sticky residue is completely removed. If necessary, reapply more rubbing alcohol and repeat the process.
Once the sticker and residue are gone, clean the glass with a glass cleaner or a solution of mild dish soap and water to remove any leftover alcohol and restore the shine.
Method 2: Heat and Razor Blade
Use a hairdryer on a low or medium heat setting to warm up the sticker and adhesive. Hold the hairdryer about 2-3 inches away from the sticker and move it in a back-and-forth motion for approximately 30 seconds. The heat helps soften the adhesive, making it easier to remove.
Once the sticker is heated, carefully lift one corner using a razor blade or a plastic scraper. Take caution not to scratch the glass. Slowly peel off the sticker, applying gentle pressure as needed.
If any residue remains, use the razor blade at a shallow angle to scrape off the adhesive. Be careful not to apply too much pressure, as this can damage the glass. Work in small sections, repositioning the blade as necessary.
After removing the sticker and residue, clean the glass with a glass cleaner or a solution of mild dish soap and water to remove any remaining residue and restore the glass's clarity.
Method 3: Vinegar or Oil
Soak a clean cloth or paper towel in white vinegar or cooking oil (such as vegetable or olive oil).
Place the vinegar-soaked cloth or oil-soaked paper towel over the sticker, ensuring it covers the entire sticker and adhesive. Let it sit for approximately 15-20 minutes to allow the vinegar or oil to penetrate and loosen the adhesive.
After the soaking time, gently rub the sticker using the cloth or paper towel. The vinegar or oil will help dissolve the adhesive, making it easier to remove.
Continue rubbing until the sticker and adhesive are completely removed. If needed, apply more vinegar or oil and repeat the process.
Clean the glass with a glass cleaner or a solution of mild dish soap and water to remove any vinegar or oil residue and restore the glass's shine.
Removing stickers from glass doesn't have to be a frustrating task. With these effective methods, you can say goodbye to sticky residue and restore the pristine appearance of your glass surfaces. Whether you opt for rubbing alcohol, heat and a razor blade, or vinegar and oil, always exercise caution and take care not to scratch the glass. With a little patience and the right technique, you'll have sticker-free glass in no time, allowing you to enjoy the clear and gleaming beauty of your glass surfaces once again.

Chiquita Joins Big Brother
“Watch folks and the way they interact with pets, and it tells you something about them,'' ” states Dr. Drew Pinsky, best known as portion of MTV’s “Loveline. ” Dr. Drew – as he’s called – can also be a consultant and commentator for CBS TV’s “Big Brother” series. On August 9, a new house mate was added into the collection of citizens that are letting TV and Internet cameras to follow their each on the Big Brother set.  Sensing the new housemate wasn’t another individual, Brittany pleaded out loud.  “Oh, please let it be a dog. ”
Her wish came true.  The newest member of this “Big Brother” home, seen pretty much every night on CBS, is Chiquita, a 5 year old , bowlegged and smelly pug.
Pugs may ’t float very well.  However, Chiquita didn’t read the pug guide, and proceeded to immediately waddle into the rear yard and leap right smack into the wading pool on coast-to-coast live TV.  Houseguest Josh instinctively dove in after her.  He didn’t wait for a second to mull it over, or even to remove his shoes.  In he went.  He gently scooped up Chiquita and deposited her on dry land.  Then, he looked at himself in disbelief, as if to state ‘I got wet! ’
“I think the public learned a little about Josh’s personality,” says Dr. Drew.  “He’s quite sensitive, and doesn’t wait to think of others until he thinks of himself. ” In fact, there was an online movement together with the campaign theme: “Save Josh!  He Saved The Dog”
Josh apparently did move his way into the heart of audiences.  He received several votes from the public to be gleaned in the home.  And also what the public believes matters big time, since every other week the people votes from phone to boot a houseguest.  The last surviving houseguest on this voyeuristic TV series wins $500,000.
While each of the house mates on “Big Brother” needed to send an audition videotape to impress producers in order to get on the series, Chiquita had no such problems.  Chiquita was living with a college student whose landlord stated, ‘it is possible to ’t have a puppy. ’ She awakens the pooch to Sherrie Woodbury of Little Angels Pug Rescue in Los Angeles, Calif..
Chiquita, most likely a product of a backyard breeder, came at pug rescue using an assortment of health issues.  Surgery was required to fix a huge umbilical hernia and a nose fold which has been so massive it triggered eye irritation.  Chiquita also suffers from chronic bladder infections as well as regular ear infections.  On top of everything else, she had kennel cough.
Chiquita is among ten to 30 dogs dumped on the Little Angels rescue each month.  “This is California, regardless of why most often given for giving up a dog is ‘I want to dedicate more time for myself,” says Woodbury.  “This is the disposable capital of the planet.  As soon as we adopt out our dogs, we strive very difficult to display the homes, we then just cross our fingers that all will work out.  It’s not every rescue group that can follow their dog online and on national TV.  If I don’t like what I see – I’m in there like a commando, and I’ll rescue Chiquita. ”
This ability to watch Chiquita interact with the housemates is why Woodbury consented to allow Chiquita from the “Big Brother House. ” She states the vulnerability on national TV will give rescue teams media focus.  However, lots of so-called animal activists don’t exactly see it that way.  The “Big Brother” app, and Woodbury happen to be inundated by email complaining about Chiquita’s living conditions and dysfunctional housemates.
The first order of business has been erecting a fence around the pool.  “When Chiquita took her dive on national TV, the manufacturer picked up his phone and answered, ‘Yes, Sherrie, we’re setting the fence up. ’ They did.
The houseguests will have to follow a comprehensive schedule so as to provide Chiquita her assorted medications.  Then, there are the usual pug irritants, snoring and flatulence.  What’s more, Chiquita isn't dependably housebroken.
Dr. Drew predicts that since George (a Big Brother house partner ) will continue to miss his children, Chiquita will become a kind of surrogate child.  Brittany will come across the cuddle partner she’s been searching for.  Whoever feeds the dog and dispenses the tablets may sort of act like the dog is his or hers, and expect extra privileges with the dog.  And another housemate, Cassandra, has winced at Chiquita’s pug fragrance on more than 1 occasion.  Chiquita has made Curtis miserable; he ends up to be allergic to her.
“As for (house mate) Eddie, he’s got something for flatulence,” says Dr. Drew.  “Therefore, he’ll be the first one to say ‘the dog did it. ”
“As the weeks last, I don’t even know whether the house mates will have the ability to trust one another,” states Woodbury.  “But they can depend on Chiquita to keep secrets.  They are also able to depend on Chiquita to relieve tension.  Pugs have a sense of humor. ”
Dr. Drew agrees, “Overall, the house will probably be better off for owning a puppy.  It feels good to pet dogs, it’s enjoyable to play with puppies – but the brain chemistry really responds in ways people ’re still learning (when you live with dogs). ”
Having a dog can lower blood pressure, and help people feel better about themselves.  Dr. Drew adds, “If Chiquita walks into a room, you can see the smiles in their faces.  It’s great to see the advantage of having a dog on national television. ”
In terms of Chiquita, Woodbury says that a manufacturer has made arrangements to permanently adopt the puppy following the final episode of “Big Brother” airs.

Dermatological Issues: Geography and Seasons Play a Role
Pets are no different than their favorite friends, pet owners, even in regards to skin- and - allergy-related problems affected by geographic and seasonal conditions.  Where a pet lives considerably impacts the likelihood of dermatological and allergy problems. “”Ordinarily, the more temperate the climate, the more probable it is that a veterinary clinic has to deal with skin issues,”” notes Dr. Douglas DeBoer, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Veterinary Medicine, researcher and expert in dermatology.
That may not be earth-shattering news however a clinic in Wisconsin and one in Florida are going to face completely different issues.  “”More time and energy has to be spent on addressing skin problems from warmer climates, in part due to fleas,”” Dr. DeBoer states.  “”Additionally, any disease that itches will be worse when the temperature is warmer. ””
Dr. Lowell Ackerman, a naturopathic therapist, author and veterinary clinic consultant, adds that geographical factors are particular to certain fungal infections like Valley Fever, which mostly occurs in Arizona and California.
Surely, fleas are a far larger problem in semitropical regions, while the tick population fluctuates greatly from region to region.  Dr. Ackerman and Dr. DeBoer both warn, however, that ticks may be a problem even at the dead of winter if pets reside nearby mountainous areas.
Country Club Animal Hospital is intimately familiar with the magnitude of geographic elements, says Dr. James Bogdanskysaid  With three facilities at the Miami, FL, area, Dr. Bogdansky along with his fellow veterinarians always struggle problems with fleas and ticks.
Fortunately, products that kill fleas are much more efficient, Dr. Bogdansky notes.  Of course, pet owners must be continually educated about the importance of applying such products to stop fleas.  “”It's ’s the old, tried-and-true standard: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. ””
Ticks are a harder conflict, Dr. Bogdansky says.  “”Topical remedies have been fantastic.  We must inform the customer, though, that often issues associated once ticks invade their pets can be a two-year struggle to see to the pet and the environment.  Parasite control involves education and treatment. ””
Pervasive across the nation, the more growing season in temperate climates normally create more issues with allergies in pets.  Pollen can be present yearlong in warmer climates, while seasonal areas face the toughest problems throughout the spring and fall.  And nearly all areas of the country are breeding grounds for mold and home mites.
“”The most important facet of allergy management is to teach early and also to notify the pet owner that there is no cure and that there is no cure,”” Dr. Ackerman says.  “”It's ’s a long-term management issue.  You have to prepare owners from puppies to kittens or they get really frustrated.  You are able to keep your pet comfy however, it won’t go away.  Veterinarians will need to let pet owners know you could ’t reconstruct the immune system however, you can offer the appropriate care to keep their pets comfy. ””

Helping Shelter Pets During the COVID-19 Outbreak
The human catastrophe unfolding during the COVID-19 outbreak is heartbreaking, but for animal lovers, the protector pet crisis is an added cause for concern.  We have asked Sarah Hodgson of Sarah Says Pets, a nyc area based and longtime friend of Goodnewsforpets, a renowned author, dog trainer, shield volunteer and serial dog adopter to talk about her heartfelt thoughts and methods to aid in this guest blog article -- Lea-Ann Germinder, Editor + Publisher.
Are you an animal enthusiast who likes to scroll websites like Pet Finder and The Dodo?  Do you have a list, as I do, of prospective Pet Names in your bedside table?  Are you a certifiable dog, cat, or pet nut?
Before you lock your doors for the duration, there's a growing sector of our people in dire need of aid: Companion Animals that are now left in surging numbers in animal shelters throughout the globe.  While several factors contribute to the cause–forced shutdowns, people–from staff, volunteers to potential adopters, the abrupt imbalance between abandoned animals and homes to take care of them is shocking.  Not to mention the rising quantity of owner-surrenders due in big part to this misinformation involving the virus and also our pets capacity to transmit it.  The middle for Disease and Control (the C.D.C.) reassures that pets show no signs of having the ability to spread COVID-19; still, the numbers rise.
With donations to charities around the decline and pets struggling to escape their confines to attend adoptathons or like outings due to the current health crisis, these sentient beings will have fewer advocates.
This is where you can help be part of a solution!
Donate Little Things Shelters throughout the globe are in desperate need of everything; Small gestures thing.  Consider dropping off toys, food, blanket, or cleaning materials.  If you do not feel comfortable or are not able to leave home due to present guidelnes, contribute to a refuge online so that the shelter can purchase what they want.
Consider Fostering As a foster pet parent, you consent to house and nurture a refuge animal for a while or until someone else adopts the pet.  The shelter generally absorbs medical costs, and food is either provided or tax-deductible.  As a foster parent, you’re responsible for daily interactions such as feeding, potty training, and perform.  If you choose to foster a pet, and in the process of doing this, fall in love with your little orphan, adoption is often simple to organize.
Choose to Adopt Should you’re considering becoming a pet parent and receptive to moving to a shelter, there are plenty of adoring animals desperate for homes.  And animal shelters are not just for dogs!  You can find all sorts of pets in the regional shelter, from cats and dogs to birds, guinea pigs, and bunnies.  Some shelters even care for homeless birds.  Call your local shelter to discover what awaits you.
Should you’re waiting for warmer months to adopt a pet, or to get the entire world to correct itself again, pause to reconsider.  There are so many loving and needing pets in shelters across the world; a lot of appreciative souls that will otherwise be lost forever.  Adopt today: it could be the best moment ever.
Supervise Intact Pets.  With COVID-19 drastically dispersing, the government is asking veterinarians to delay regular health checks and prevent optional surgeries unless deemed medically necessary.  In addition to maintaining doctors and staff safe, their neighborhood is asked to donate and conserve supplies, such as Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and ventilators, to human medicine.  The AVMA is developing guidelines that are upgraded continuously on their website.
Here’s the way you can assist shelters if your furry friend is intact.  Maintain all intact pet’s under oversight to prevent accidental mating.  When the ban lifts, schedule your pet to be repaired.  If money is a problem, contact the regional shelter to find low-cost practices in your area.
These are hard times for all of us.  While our health should be our number one concern, a lot people can go somewhat stir-crazy and have a hard time trying to remain productive; why not spend the necessary isolation with some four-legged companies?  Gratitude and giving come in several types: if you’re an animal enthusiast, perhaps you can look at opening your doors at this time of need.
Sarah Hodgson in Sarah Says Pets is reimagining how we live with our pets.  A famous writer of over twelve dog training guides including"Puppies for Dummies, 4th ed."  (Wiley and Sons Press, 2019),"Modern Dog Parenting" (St. Martin's Press, November, 2016), Sarah Hodgson is also a renowned pet trainer and behavior consultant for pet-loving households.   Visit Sarah Says Pets for more information.
