There's no way you could use ceramic bearings for the big rod ends though. You'd be fucked.
here’s the real question: how many fluids in an engine could you theoretically replace with urine given specially designed components
coolant is the first that comes to mind, but the cooling system would need to be made of a material that resists corrosion from urea.
oil is a big problem, but if we’re going so far as to plate the inside of a radiator for use with pee we could also build a gas phased lubricated engine and use greased ceramic bearings for the crankshaft and other systems
hydraulic systems designed for water-based fluid do exist so you could likely modify the power steering and brake systems for use with urine mixed with an additive
